First day at daycare
posted on 11/04/2008

There are a couple of pictures of the kids at daycare today posted on the blog - www.fossicktwins.blogspot.com.  They look like they are doing good - yeah!!!

We are meeting with a childcare company on Friday - they charge a flat fee of $60, $10 each time they come and $11 an hour for twins.  That is pretty pricey, but we really need a break, just for dinner together without screaming babies, to go to a game, whatever and that price is better than the drop-in place that we were looking at.  The babies have only ever stayed with us or my mom by themselves so I am pretty nervous about it, but I guess it is like daycare, it will be good for all involved in the long run.  Is that too expensive, am I being selfish leaving them with a babysitter at 2 months, will I really even be able to enjoy our time out because I am worried about them staying with someone I don't know, these are all questions that I am struggling with and I know that every new mom does too.  Goodness, I wish I could win the lottery and this wouldn't be an issue - we'd have a nanny and I wouldn't work!!!

No Sellie your not being selfish at all. New mom's and dad's need a break every once in a while to maintain their sanity no matter how much they love their babies. Each time you go to a game or dinner it will get a bit easier. When I first left Kaela and went back to work I called almost every hour (between crying) and went to see her at lunch!! Love Ya
