FIONNA ANN KUNCE

With an infant on your hands there is just not enough time to write on here as much as I would like!  It is amazing how much this little girl has changed in the past few months. Fionna can now crawl, sit up on her own, and pretty much get into all kinds of things mommy and daddy don't want her to :) We will have to really start baby proofing the house now. Fionna loves to start and is trying to pull up on things but at the moment she can get herself to her knees and is stumped from there!

We still do not have any teeth despite all of the teething symptoms I swear we have had since she was 4 months old!! One day I guess this will just appear :)

This little girl has changed almost every aspect of our lives and I could not imagine our life being any different. Being a mom is the hardest most rewarding job and I love it!

I guess that is why we have started trying for baby #2 already--- I want Fionna and her future brother/sister to be close in age so that they can grow up together! We will keep everyone posted if/when there is news to share :)

Time flies.....
posted on 06/02/2009

I looked at this the other day and realized it has been forever since I posted anything!! What a bad mommy I am lol!!!

Things have been crazy busy around here but are finally starting to settle down again---just in time for summer and when Fionna will officially need to start daycare. Mommy and Daddy have one more month of being able to split time at work to stay home with little Miss Fionna :( I really can't complain though because when I got pregnant I thought for sure we would have to put her in daycare after my 6 weeks of disability pay---so we are truly blessed to be able to make it to 6 MONTHS instead!!!

May was a crazy month!! I went on business travel for the first time since Fionna was born! I was gone 5 days!!!! I missed Fionna terribly and called home every chance I got to hear her making noises in the background!! I also packed lots of pictures so that I could start working on her scrapbook that hasn't even been started. Well I only got 5 pages done but hey thats 5 more than I had!!  Then when I got back from that trip we had one week until my little sister was getting married! So there were lots of last minute preparation to complete and shopping to be done! Somehow we managed to get it all done and the wedding was amazing!! But boy am I glad that is done---weddings are alot of work lol!

Fionna has been eating oatmeal, fruits, and veggies for a month now!! Henry and I have started making Fionna's baby food! It is not that much cheaper, which is why we tried it in the first place, but we feel it is healthier for her as there are no added preservatives or fillers, just fruits or veggies and water!! I was worried she would turn her nose up to the fresh stuff since she had been eating the jarred stuff for a month but she eats it like a champ---woohoo!! It is a little bit of work but it is kinda fun---makes me feel more motherly if that is possible!!

Summer is fast approaching and I am hoping that we can juat lay low and relax enjoying our free time with Fionna!! We may make a couple small trips to visit family but nothing major is in the works--thank god lol!!!

That is the update for now!!

Hectic Times
posted on 04/25/2009

I know I was doing so well posting updates all the time but now that I am back to work and Henry is home with her part time during the week, the weeks just seem to be flying by. And our weekends have been filled with big events as well.  First we had Fionna's Baptism, then Easter, then it was my Mom's 50th Birthday, and now this weekend is my sister's bachelorette party in Orlando. I am hoping that next weekend will be a quieter one and I can get caught up on house cleaning and just spending some quality time with my family :)

Fionna is going to be 4 months already next week!! She is getting so big and so LONG!!!! I have already had to move her into her 6-9 month onesies because the 3-6 month ones are too short for her!! She is even almost out of all of her 3-6 months clothes. I was folding all of her clothes that don't fit her anymore and reminiscing about how little she used to be and the fun times we had the first 3 months when I was home with her all day everyday :( I miss being home with her all of the time and seeing all the new things she can do and try to do!!

May is going to be another busy month for us. I will get to have my first Mother's Day :) Then the next day I go on business travel for the entire week!!! We will see how Henry does alone with Miss Fionna for an entire 5 days hehee!! I know he will be fine because he is great with her----I am worried about how much I will miss Fionna though!! I will bring lots of pictures and maybe I can even get some work in on her scrapbook while I am alone in the hotel in the evenings (that is a good plan I will have to make sure I pack my supplies). Then when I return I will be helping my sister with last minute wedding details because she is getting married on May 23, 2009! We have family coming into town for that too :) Whew it's going to be another busy few weeks then it should settle down a bit because we have nothing planned :)

Fionna Rolled Over!!
posted on 04/07/2009

Well Miss Fionna is growing  up so fast!!! My mom has been watching her the past two weeks while they are in town and yesterday while she was with them, Miss Fionna rolled over from her back to her belly!!!

Fionna has been trying hard lately to roll over and could get up on her side (well part of her body anyways) So Henry and I knew that it would be soon that she would get all the way around and sure enough she did it. However, Fionna didn't want an audience because she waited to try this out till no one was watching her---so no one actually saw her do it----she was simply on her back on minute and then on her belly the next!!

I am hoping to see her in action sometime soon :)

No Longer a Newborn!
posted on 04/03/2009

Fionna is now 3 months old which means she has transitioned from the newborn stage to the infant stage....When I read this it hit me like a ton of bricks---I never really paid much attention to the transition then all of the sudden she was there and it made me sad :( My little girl is getting so big!! She is starting to talk or "coo" all the time and she can now play with some of her toys and grab them. She fixates on things too!! But the best is those smiles that she shoots us :) It melts my heart!!

Today we went and had Fionna's 3 month pictures taken, she did amazing but I have to say it definitaley tired all three of us out! But they turned out amazing---check them out in the Professional Photos Gallery!

Tomorrow we will be celebrating Fionna's baptism and in theory her transition into being an infant with her baptism and a reception that my Aunt Patricia has so kindly put together so be on the look out for more pictures soon!

One Week Back to Work
posted on 04/02/2009

Well today is Fionna's 3 month birthday!! It is hard to believe that our little princess is already this old but it is true.  This has been my first week actually back in the office 10 hours a day without Miss Fionna.....I know that i have to work to pay the bills and while being here at work does seem like a break some of the time---I still miss being home with my daughter all day long, seeing all the new things she can do or try to do and most importantly seeing that amazing smile of hers when she looks up at me. Well now that I have made myself tear up lets move on.

This weekend is a busy weekend for us. On Friday we are taking Fionna for her 3 month professional photos which we are also going to do some family shots as well (I am not happy with the way that I look at this point but I want to have these memories anyways). Then on Saturday Miss Fionna will be getting baptized. We have lots of family coming in town and can't wait for everyone to see how big she has gotten---they will be amazed!!!  Then on Sunday we have tickets to the St.Pete Grand Prix---while I am not sure if we will be bringing Fionna we just might if I can find something to cover her ears and block some of the noise!!! She loves being outside and being in the middle of all the action so I think she would have a blast if we do bring her :)

Well I guess I should go get some work done this morning!!

Mission Accomplished!!
posted on 03/23/2009

I have been saying for a couple weeks now that I was going to move Fionna into her crib at night to help her sleep better through the night! Well last night was Fionna's first night not sleeping next to me in her cradle since we brought her home from the hospital. I wasn't sure what the expect but she was amazing---I put her down around 10:30pm (I have also slowly been trying to move up the time she goes to bed trying to get her on a schedule that we will need to follow when both Mommy and Daddy will be working) and she slept straight through till 7am!! That is 8.5 hours!! My goal is to get her to bed by 8pm and up at 6am :) Here is a picture of Miss Fionna asleep in her crib and yes I took this picture in the dark, love my camera!! (what kind of Mom would I be if I turned on the light to take her picture lol)

Sleeping in my crib for the first time!
