First Photo Shoot posted on 09/06/2008
Today I went with my family to have pictures taken. It was exhausting, but we got some good shots. It was me, my sister, Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma and Grandpa Hodges. We had a great time. Make sure to check out the photos here on my website to see our cheesy grins. After we were done getting our pictures taken, we all went out to dinner at Red Robin. But I was so beat from all the pictures, I slepts all the way through dinner.

MY DAY posted on 09/04/2008
Today was the day I was supposed to be born. But unlike my Mommy, I'm early to appointments. Actually I was 9 days early, but today was my due date.
So tonight my Nonnie came over and guess what she and Mommy did to me. You're never going to guess...they dipped my hand and foot in INK! That's right, then they made me put my prints on paper, so they could do something corny like frame them or something. The funny thing was when they were hand printing me, my little armes were waiving around and I accidentially touched my face. Mommy said I looked like a little mini Hitler, because I had a little black smudge above my top lip. But lucky for me, it was a special kind of ink that cleaned up easily.
And if all of that wasn't torture enough, then they made me do a foot print in some clay. We had to re-do that a few times, I thought it was never going to end.

My first chiropractic adjustment posted on 09/03/2008
Today, Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Stansberry and I all went to get adjusted at the chiropractor's office. My big sister didn't have to go, because it wasn't time for a check up for her yet...so she stayed at home with a family friend.
Some people think it's weird that us little folks go to the chiropractor, but what the heck? We have spines and a central nervous system too you know! I had an adjustment in my back and in my neck. Other than that I was in great shape, much better shape than Daddy was.
My sister got adjusted when she was only a week old too, and Mommy and Daddy have taken her for regular adjustments ever since. They say she's been one of the healthiest kids they've ever seen.

My first doctor's appointment posted on 08/30/2008
Today I went to my pediatrician's office for the first time. I'm doing okay, and Mommy, Daddy and my Big Sister Elise all went with me. They weighed me, measured me, measured my head and everything. It wasn't very fun, and I complained most of the time about it. So don't worry, I'm the kind of guy that speaks my mind, and I'm sure they all knew that I wasn't too fond of what was going on.
Today at the doctor's office I weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz. and measured 19 3/4 inches. My head size measured 13 3/4 inches.

Hungry Hungry Baby posted on 08/29/2008
Today I was with my daddy and I started to feel the famaliar rumblings signaling me that I am hungry. I started to cry and daddy held me up on his shoulder. I started looking for something to eat, and found daddy's ear lobe. Tasted pretty good, however it didn't fill me up though.

Packin' My Bags... posted on 08/25/2008
My bags are packed and we're ready to leave early in the morning for the hospital. We are dropping Elise off at Nonnie and Papa's house for the week. They'll bring her up to the hospital to see the baby and to visit. Rodger has to work most of this week, although at least he doesn't have to go back to work until Wednesday night.
You know as I write this, little Levi sure is squirming around a lot. Maybe he's packin' his bags too. He must know it's time to move to a new location. So just like me, he's doing some last minute packing and cleaning! hahaha
This last week has gone by so quickly. It seems like every day I have been busy doing someing in preparation for Levi's arrival. It kind of feels like I'm getting ready for company...only this company is never going to leave...at least not until he goes off to college. That'll be awhile!
We're all excited to meet him. Since I'll be stuck in the hospital for a few days, Rodger's mother has agreed to update Levi's totsite. So check back often for updates, new photos, and if she figures it out...maybe even some videos!

Only one more day! posted on 08/24/2008
Only one more day until my beautiful son is born. I am so excited to meet him, and there are alradys so many people that love him. He will be blessed with a family and community of people who are waiting to love him.
Today Rodger's mother and I, along with Elise's many attempts at helping, spent quite a bit of time finishing going through his clothes, and setting everything up for the little guy. We went through and put all of his little clothes in orderly piles in his dresser, hung his little dress shirts, slacks, and jackets, and put his little hats and socks away.
When I look at his teeny tiny little clothes, it's hard to believe that one day my little boy will grow up to be a man. Rodger and I are ever thankful that the Lord has blessed us with this precious little one. We will do our best to raise him with true values and beliefs and trust that one day when he is grown and making his own decisions, he will make those decisions based on God's Word. Our prayer is that he will grow to be a Godly man.

Hard to believe... posted on 08/20/2008
It's so hard to believe that in just a few short days my little boy will be here. I feel him wiggle around and think, wow, it's not much longer until I won't feel that anymore. Instead, I'll be holding him and watching him wiggle, rather than feeling it. In fact, right now as I write this, he's doing the Funky Chicken Dance! What can I say, he's a late night party animal.
No, actually I predict that he will be a good sleeper. He doesn't wake me in the night with movement. Once I lie down he might have the wiggles for a couple of minutes, but then he settles for a restful night. I am very greatful for that.
Elise loves to feel the baby moving. In fact, sometimes he get's pretty violent with his movements, and if Elise hears me moan in agony, she says, "baby hurtin'?" When I tell her, "Yes, baby's hurtin'," she says, "oh, sorry Mama." Then she comes up and kisses my belly as if to make the discomfort go away. It's pretty cute. Sometimes she's say that she wants to feel and she'll come up and put her little hand on my tummy and feel the baby wiggle. When she feels him wiggle, she get's a big smile on her face.
She keeps telling everyone how she plans to share her toys with the baby. She's very excited for him to arrive.
