My son (also named Vincent) is now 9, almost 10 years old. In reading your post, I remember having some of the same feelings. Being further along down the road, I can tell you that he's a great kid. I wouldn't change a thing about him for anything in the world...except I hope he'll be able to have kids of his won, if he wants to some day. And, I have faith that will be possible too. Email if you'd like to see my Vincent! Your boy is as cute and cuddly as can be! Thanks for sharing him with us.

Helloooh fellow travelers - welcome to the wonderful world of biological diversity or variation. Mutation is the quick step to genetic evolutionary change. The idea that we (humans) might know what's best (eugenics) is pretty darn presumptuous.
We've been xxy for only 2 and a half years. We were just "odd" before that - or as a fertility doc told us, you're just a Down syndrome person.
But, here's the GREAT NEWS lotsa lotsa KS folk are just plain fine in the same way that xy and xx are just fine.
So get ready, lean back, and enjoy the ride.

Care`--I read your journal--and it is truly inspirational. I know God is with you all--watching over your Warrior and Jake--and giving you and your husband incredible courage. And thankfully, peace as well. Your strong faith is sustaining you. I am proud to work with you.
