MONDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER

Well the extension is almost finished!!

We moved back to the house last friday after almost 4 weeks down at my mum and dad's.  We had a lovely time with them.

On friday i spent the whole day cleaning the new kithchen and washing all the items for the kitchen eg glasses, plates, pans....it took me from 12.30 till about 8pm! I also managed to clean new bathroom and stock it up too.

I'll be added more photos to my extension slideshow when i come across the cable to transfer photos onto my laptop.

Joanne came over today and she is 21 weeks pregnant by her dates and 22 weeks by the scan.

She is looking so pretty, pregnancy really suits her. i've been taking bump photos and videos of her so i can make her and chris a nice dvd of the pregnancy and the baby once he or she is born.

At the weekend ross, owen and i went with my m and d to the laichmoray. Ross was so good.  He sat well in his high chair and ate sausages, chips and peas.  I had roast chicken, dad had a tuna salad and mum had a panini.  It was very nice.

Ross is 22 months and owen will be 20 weeks tomorrow.

Ross has been saying so many new words and little sentences over the last month

Not a choo choo is so funny

Tree, mama all the time when he calls me which is lovely because he took a long time to say mama, he called me nana and things like that before!

He now calls dad da da for grandad which is cute.....poor dad, ross hit him on the nose yesteray afternoon with a hard book which skined his nose and caused it to bleed! Ross was concerned for his grandad and looked worried, poor wee man!

The living room was painted in lemon pie colour yesterday, it looks lovely.  The hall is to be finished and the kitchen has to be tiled and painted also.

Back from Lossie

SUNDAY 24TH AUGUST

Got on fine with move down to Lossie. Took a while to unpack but managed everything except for my clothes. Had a nice chinese and then John went back up to do some scraping in preparation for new heaters in living room and bedroom.

MONDAY 25TH AUGUST

Owen slept till 7.30 then he had his bottle. I then had my shower and after that gave Ross his bath. After Owen was also bathed we went to tesco and boys were both very good. Ross was funny, he kept pulling off Owen’s socks!

Mum and dad phoned and they are having a lovely holiday. Then went on a walk tour in am which they enjoyed. After they had lunch in the sun by a lake. They went by train, bus then walk and then got the train home again.

I went up to visit cats at night and they were both there. The house looks really different. The kithen/bathroom almost look like the extension at the front with it down to floorboards and nothing else. I took some photos.

TUESDAY 26TH AUGUST

Owen slept till 7.30 which was good. John left for elgin at 8 to see cats etc.

I had busy morning, washed and hung out washing, hoovered hall and cleaned bathroom and livingroom. Ross ate all his dairylee sandwich for lunch. They both went to bed just after 2 so I’m having nice time on computer, even without my internet!! Lol

Mum, Dad, Jo and Chris went up mountain today but didn’t go on cable cars as been on them before. Jo and Chris went up on a ski lift to another part of the mountain. Mum and Dad met nice couple from Edinburgh and spent evening with them.

WEDNESDAY 27TH AUGUST

Owen slept till 7.30 again and then Ross got up and we did breakfasts and baths!

I managed to do some more washing again.

In the afternoon we went to visit Alison and Aimee. I took her some nice jeans and pink top which alison liked. Ross played well and was good. A|ison not liking ward at all, there is no staff and are working with no other trained nurse on a lot of shifts. She has a temp post working with the district nurses which she is enjoying. Jayne is pregnant with her second baby and is due in February which is great news.

Mum and Dad walked round lake in the morning and then played crazy golf, mum said Dad was the best!

They bought some presents in seefeld in the afternoon.

THURSDAY 28TH AUGUST

Had to wake up both boys today as still sleeping at 7.45….typical as I would normally have left them a bit longer so I could rest in bed but I had to get up to get ready to visit Paddy.

We got there at 10.15 and stayed till 12.40. Ross was good and played with toys. Paddy chatty and good company. Owen good, smiling and had a bottle before we left.

It’s now the afternoon and their both sound asleep.

Mum and Dad took train to Garmish in Germany this morning. The weather has been lovely and warm all week. She bought lovely shoes in a shop not far from station. They had a snack and then went for a look around.

FRIDAY 29TH AUGUST

Mum and dad enjoying their last day in Austria. Played crazy golf in the morning and mum scored 53. They went for a walk around the lake before lunch and then had a coffee prior to rest in the afternoon.

I was busy doing washing today, also bathed boys, cleaned kitchen and hallway and our bedroom. Boys went to bed after 2 so I’ve had a nice rest watching tv and now updating my journal.

I’ll go home tonight to visit rooney and rufus. It will be good to see my boys. Also it will be nice to see how the house in coming on.

We’re going to have a takeaway tonight which will be nice.

MONDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER

Had a nice week last week with mum and dad when they came home from Austria.

This is the first time I have updated my journal.

They all had a lovely holiday, it was warm every day.

Last week we had a few takeaways which were nice. We went to tesco together last Sunday with boys and I paid for half the teas.

Ross and Owen caught my cold so have been a bit off colour the last few days but seem ok today.

I took mum to the mezzo restaurant on Saturday which was lovely. Mum had chicken curry with homemade nan bread and I had crab and prawn linguine with handcut chips. It was very nice.

I bought mum some tights and toilettries and dad 3 boxes of nicorette for having us stay. John and I will be taking them to the 1629 for nice meal soon.

We have been down in lossie for 2 weeks now and having a nice time. Mum and dad are a great help with the boys..

Ross will be 22 months in 4 days!

Owen is now 4 months old and doing so well!

He is such a good baby and still not requiring weaning. I’ve bought some baby rice for when he does though.

Ross’s new words

When reading thomas the tank engine he will say "that’s not a choo choo!"

He says baa baa for sheep and moon. Car key is another favorite.

More and done have been said a lot along with no!

He’s having a nap just now and so is Owen.

The house is coming on well. Heating fitted last week and working well. The shower and screen also fitted. Kenny has almost finished the kithchen which looks lovely.

We have finished the horrible scraping! The painter is going to do ross’s new room and the hallway this week.

New floors fitted in hall and kitchen. We have still to buy the laminate but have ordered the kitchen lino and the carpets.

Joanne will be 19 weeks pregnant tomorrow and is doing well, bump growing well.

She has her scan on Thursday. She brought home the doppler so she and chris could hear the baby’s heartbeat.

It was very nice.

We gave dad a Wii for his birthday and he was delighted with it.

Saturday 23rd August ( dad's birthday!)

Amanda and Richard came to visit in the evening which was very nice.  They have been married and trying for a baby for the last 4 years ( just like John and I) and are now almost 15 weeks pregnant, she's due on the 17th February.  They stayed for 2 hrs and enjoyed seeing Ross and Owen. They are staying a silversands just now.

Sunday 24th August

We've spent the last week scraping walls!! I don't enjoy that very much...it's ok to start with but i soon get bored.

We're moving to mum and dad's today for the next 2 weeks as the new central heating and kitchen renovations are taking place from tomorrow.  It was lots of work packing up all my clothes and the boys clothes last night.  I've did more tidying up and cleaning out the bathroom today and the car is packed ready to go later.

Joanne had her 16 week midwife appointment last week and heard the heartbeat for the first time which she enjoyed.  Her bump is growing now and she looks well.

This is my last entry for a couple of weeks as we don't have broadband in lossie but i'll update it when i get back. sound of music

Extension coming on
posted on 19/08/2008

As you can see from the slideshow our extension in coming on.  It started 18 weeks ago, 3 weeks before Owen was born.  The bathroom is almost finished, just to have shower fitted and tiling completed. I bought lovely silver bath mats etc and accessories yesterday.

The bedroom has been painted, have to buy border and carpet.

We're moving down to my mum and dad's on Sunday as the new heating and kitchen work is being started next Monday.  The kitchen is being knocked through to our old bathroom and our new kitchen is going in.

Rooney and Rufus are staying here and we'll be visiting them at night to feed and play with them.

Mum, Dad, Joanne and Chris are going on holiday to Austria on Saturday for a week but we'll still be staying with them the week after as there is alot of decorating to be done...living room, kitchen, hallway and ross's new bedroom (our old one).

Going to see Mamma Mia with Mum and Dad tonight which should be good.
