Joanne and Chris told us last Friday the 11th July. They came round to visit in the evening and Joanne said that they had a surprise to tell us and then she laid down her ultrasound pictures! She is 11 weeks pregnant and due round about the 4th February 2009.
We are so happy for them as they have been trying for a baby since they got married in November 06.
Its wonderful news and hope that she has a happy, healthy pregnancy. I can't wait to be an Auntie!
My hair is much more greasy than normal, must be the changing hormones postnatal. No hair loss yet!!

Owen is 9 weeks old today! He slept from 10.30 last night until 8am this morning! He went onto SMA white on Sunday as he was very hungry and feeding every 2 hours....it's certainly worked! I managed to breastfeed Owen for the first 5 weeks which i really enjoyed but after a while he wasn't getting enough so i went onto bottle feeding. My first son, Ross was bottle fed and he has grown well.
My mum babysat the boys yesterday and i went shopping with Joanne and we had a nice time. I bought some foundation and cute slippers with little teddies on them!
I took her for lunch at Mezzo and i had lemon sole with prawns. Joanne had roast beef on onion bread and we both had hand cut chips. I had a lovely glass of shiraz and Jo had a coke as she was driving. I enjoyed our time out as it's great to get a break from the boys for a wee while.
She'll come swimming with Ross and Mum next Monday which will be nice. John will be on holiday also which will be good.
Boys both sleeping just now so i'm enjoying my computer time!
Kenny round with Warren doing extension.
Bye for now

Friday 4th July
Having a nice day in with boys. Poor wee Ross is still teething, he's got 8 teeth now and there are a few more larger teeth about to break through soon. He's quite hot at moment and still having diarrhoea although thankfully his bottom is ok just now. I just hate it when he's in pain with a sore bottom!
Wee Owen is still a bit hot after his immuisations and up at 2am till 3.30 then up again at 7! He normally only wakens once during the night.
Ian & Jean will be over to visit tommorrow afternoon which will be nice.
I bought a couple of photo albums this week so i'll have one for Owen and the other for Joanne and Chris's wedding photos and other family photos.
Owen hungry just now so have to go now,
Bye bye

Wednesday 2nd July
Owen had his first injections today. He had his checkup with the Dr first but we had to wait 40 minutes as she was running late... good job Owen is such a good baby or you can imagine what it would have been like in a hot waiting room with a young, crying baby! lol . His checkup with fine, then he went to see the Health Visitor for his injections. Poor wee man had to have 2! He cried for only a short time after and was very brave! He's been fine since so hopefully he won't have any side effects.
The extension to our house is coming on well. We only had 2 bedrooms so our new extension will be our new bedroom and the new bathroom. Our kitchen will be extended and knocked through to our bathroom so we'll have a dining kitchen and much more room! Definately needed. We'll also be able to get a tumble drier so that will be a novelty as we have a huge amount of washing with our 2 little boys! At the moment it can go outside as its summer but in the winter we had to use clothes horses all the time which took forever to dry!
Owen is now just over 7 weeks and doing well. A very happy baby who smiles alot!
Ross is almost 20 months already and is a pleasure. Such a good boy and very loving!
Here are some photos of the extension and of me, the boys and their Nana & Grandad.
Ross and Owen gave their daddy some boxer shorts and 2 lovely cards. I gave my Dad a nice green check shirt and some grey socks which he liked. We are going out to the LM tonight at 6pm for a high tea. Mum, Dad and Joanne and Chris are also going with us.
We had a lovely meal at the LM. Ross sat in his new booster chair as he's not keen on highchairs! He had chicken, i had beef and mushroom pie as did Chris, John and my mum had chicken korma, Joanne had roast chicken and my Dad had sausage, egg bacon and black pudding. Owen slept throughout whole meal.

My labour story!
I had a good pregnancy and went into labour 4 days earlier..... on my sister's wedding day! I was her chief bridesmaid and i still managed to do that despite being in labour all day. My waters broke at 4am that morning and back pains started 30 minutes later. I went to the hospital and was kept in for monitoring for 2 hours that morning. After that i had to get my hair put up and my makeup applied. I didn't have any stomach pains just intermittent back pains all day. During the speechs my waters were leaking alot but i tried not to stand too much. I didn't tell my sister until 9pm as i didn't want to detract anything from her big day. I even managed a couple of dances before i left to go back to the hospital at 9.30pm. The midwife kept me in for a couple of hours and then sent me home as i was doing fine......until i got home that is! As soon as i lay down on the settee the contractions were coming almost continuously, the only relief i got was to hold on to the bath! I had hired a TENS machine but that was a huge waste of money as i didn't even want to take it out of the box! We then went back to the hospital and the midwife was shocked when she examined me....I WAS 8CM DILATED, WITH NO PAIN RELIEF UP UNTIL THEN!! I was rushed to the delivery suite and took gas and air which was brilliant, the pains went and you felt like you'd had a bit to drink!! I didn't need any other pain relief and our darling son Ross was delivered 3 1/2 hours later at 5.41am.
