"It's the most wonderful time of the year," or so the song goes. The holidays are upon us and, with just a few more days until Christmas, there's little time left for that last minute shopping and baking that needs to be done.
We had a nice Thanksgiving. The kids and I drove to the Davies' home for Thanksgiving lunch. After lots of yummy food and seeing that side of the family, we then drove to the Applebee home for Thanksgiving dinner. There was more yummy food and the kids had a great time playing with their cousins.
Our church had its annual Christmas program and dinner. There was great music and good food. The kids loved playing with the other children, and after dinner a "special guest" dropped by with treats for the little ones.

Reese has really enjoyed her time in Jr. Kindergarten. The teachers all speak highly of her and she loves it when it's her turn to be the leader. Her best friend is Evelyn and she tells me all about their recess fun on the way home from school. Her class sang 2 songs for their Christmas program. The first was religious about the birth of Jesus, and the second was a Santa song set to the tune of BINGO. Here she is pictured with Emma and Kaya.

December also brings with it Reese's Birthday. This year she turned 5! We celebrated with a family trip to Disneyland. She had so much fun riding the rides, having her face painted, and she even got a new princess dress for her collection. That weekend we celebrated with the extended family by going to the theater to see "The Princess and the Frog" and then had everyone over for dinner, cake, and presents.
Trent is just busy being a little boy. You will seldom find him with out a car in at least one hand. He even likes to sleep with them now. He loves riding his little tractor around the yard and causing all sorts of mischeif. His favorite response is "nothing" when asked what he's doing, but that's not usually the case. He loves playing the Smart Cycle and V-Smile, and he memorizes really well. He often walks around the house saying, "one player or two players? Use a joystick and press a handlebar button." He adds words to his vocabulary daily and is such a love.
