JOURNAL We got our COCposted on 10/11/2008 It has only been 3 weeks since we came home, so you can imagine how surprised I was to see the envelope in the mailbox!!! COC means Certificate of Citizenship. Now we can move forward with getting his new MO BC and SS card and file the form to get all his paperwork back.... If anyone reading this knows the name of that form could you please let me know...I think it is 884, But I'm not sure.... Comments (2) Home 2 weeks posted on 10/04/2008 We have been home 2 weeks and things are trying to work themselves out. Zack has now started not wanting to stay asleep at night, he takes his afternnon naps pretty well and sleeps for 2-2 1/2 hrs. At night he is up about every 3 hrs or so. We have went out and bought "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" I have been reading this and I hope I find something in there that will help us ALL get some sleep. We had 1st Steps come out and talk with us, they are setting up evaluations with a P/T, O/T and also a Nutritionist(per my request), They are also going to contact Delta Gamma which helps children with Visual Issues. They have their own P/T, O/T and S/T on staff. I am so happy we live in St. Louis with some of the best Children's Hospitals in the world and we are so close to both of them. Zack is becoming so loving and actually will lay his head on Steve's shoulder now, which I'm happy he is starting to do this. I swear the other day I heard him say mamama, as most of you know his favorite word is dadada... not that I think at this point he is putting names with objects...I really don't think he puts the two together yet. Our Agency has REMOVED us from their forum, alonf with 2 other families that we know of....I think they don't want us telling the truth to other families and don't want to let everyone know exactly how STUPID Sally really is....I swear when you look at a dictionary and see "blonde Ditz" it has her picture. The head Director did call me and we discussed Sally at great lengths and how I feel she should NOT be in this job position. Enought mumbo about them, I have posted some new pics of Zack... So I am posting it here for others to read.... I just wanted to add a few things after reading all the post these last few days.
We all signed with Faithful to preform a Service/Job, which I feel was not fulfilled.
If I had wanted to do/complete an Adoption on my own I would not have payed alot of money to an Agency. I had to move to Guatemala to ensure our son's health, where was Faithful during this? Is this not what we paid the Agency to do?

We was also told by Faithful that there would be a fee reduction due to the special needs child we do have(that we was lied to about for almost 11 months)where/what happened to that? I know Rosita and Aby stole all families money, BUT Faithful is the one that signed a contract with them. It was the Agencies sole responsibility to ensure their facilitators was preforming thier jobs as outlined in the contract they all signed.
I have read so many times that problems didn't start occurring until May 08'.. I have to disagree...It started in late 07' and nothing was ever done about it... even though complaints was made several times by several families. There was always and excuse for them or "this is happening to other Agencies also" well we did not sign a contract with another Agency we signed with Faithful Adoptions. The corruption that alot of families has had to endure is beyond what we signed up for. It was Faithful's facilitators that was contracted that did this to families, shouldn't Faithful be somewhat responsible for this instead of trying to place the blame elsewhere?
We have an appointment with Asst. Professor of Pediactrics at Cardinal Glennon Tuesday and IF we find out any of Zackary's conditions could have been prevented by proper care and nutrition, which Faithful did not ensure he had nor push for him to have, we will be discussing this with Sergey(if he will take/return our calls this time) and our Attorney personally.
We find it very sad what all of our children have had to and are living through because of mismanagement of cases and families. The Latin America Adoption Program is/have been VERY poorly handled and managed.
I always see emails asking families to pay for this or that where does Faithful Adoptions start to fulfill their part in this and helping their families that if NOT for Faithful would NOT be in this very rough spot trying/fighting to get thier children home?? The financial responsibility should not JUST fall on the Families... They/We all signed in GOOD FAITH to have Faithful preform a job and when things feel apart it was Families trying to pick up the peices to make sure their children would come home at some VERY high cost involved. I feel Faithful should be partly financial responsible for this mess going on since it was thier contracted facilitators and or Coordinator that caused all this harm to families. It is not the families problem if this is a small Agency, or their isn't any adoptive parents signing on right now...Word of mouth travels fast no matter what Country adoptive parents chose.
As you are aware the US Embassy IS now asking Adoptive parents about their process with thier Agency...I myself did not lie to them and told them what had happened with us/with out hurting the other children/parents we have grown very close to behind us.
Mayra deserves ALOT of credit here.... She has been a Godsend to us and many other families. She has done more for us than any Faithful employee...and for her I am forever grateful Comments (5) Almost over!!! posted on 09/18/2008 We picked up Zack's Visa today at 1pm, then came to the Marriott for our last night in Guatemala... Just think in 12 hrs we will be in the air and on our way home... I still can't believe we are going home... Steve keeps asking if I am going to cry.... well to be honest ....YES I probably will...I dont know if it be before we leave or after we are in the air or when we finally get home... I have opened the blog back up so others can see what we have had to go through with this crappy Agency we had...Ya know we still have seen none of the refund they was suppose to give us back from Agency fee's that we was told we would have before bringing Zack home... and probably NEVER will...Sally is bitching about Salary cuts!!! Well she never did anything anyway for the money she was receiving ..Here families have had to fight every step of the way because of THEIR CORRUPT facilitators THEY hired and now want families to DONATE so the FM's can be paid...I feel the Agency should take up this slack since their Facilitators is the ones that stole all families money. We have heard "PLease Donate" more times than we can tell you... IN otherwords sucker send us more money for a job we arent even doing!!! I can say the USE asked about our Agency and I will say I told them what I thought... BUT did NOT tell them EVERYTHING!! because that would NOT be fair to the babies behind Zack coming home... BUT when that last child is HOME shit will hit the fan I promise that!!! I will tell them everything and about all the corruption on Faithfuls families...I made this promise months ago that I would not just let this lay...Lannie and Kimberly I know your with me on this!!! Faithful Adoption should NOT be in this business!!! And Rosita and Aby along with Mario should be behind bars for along time for what they have done to our children and these families lives. The best part of this whole process of course is Zack but also some of the wonderful people we have met and connected with...and also for God sending Mayra and her family into our lives to help us bring Zack home!!! Comments (7) RESULTS BACK IN GUAT(UPDATE) posted on 09/16/2008 We just received an email from FEDEX the results have been delivered to USE as of 10:22am ..YAYY!!! I have emailed them and hope and PRAY all will work out... The results are back in Guat.... it has taken from Friday till today to get them back here, they are not yet at USE...and the FEDEX web site says they are not due there till tomorrow... ggrrrrr When did it start taking 5 days to get results back?? I always thought they was overnighted? and if shipped out on Friday they would arrive back in Guat on Monday... WRONG!!! So we are thinking there is NOWAY we will get a Wed appointment now... we might get one on Friday since USE don't do appointments on Thursdays...And IF we get one for Friday we may have to wait to get Visa on Monday... which means we wouldnt fly out till Tuesday..... The horrible thing is we have his IA Dr appointment set up for the 23rd at 10am.... because we thought this would be plenty enough time for us to get home...BOY was I wrong!!! We did have the IA Dr email us a copy of the appointment in hopes this will speed up USE or we will be allowed to get our Visa the same day..I know at this point I am grabbin at straws... BUT I'm so ready to go home!!! I have emailed work, actually Jenny to see if I can take my other 2 weeks ... I can't just come home and drop Zack off with a lady he doesnt even know and she knows nothing about him either...Can you imagine what his little mind would be thinking?? This will give us time to get Grandma and Zack knowing each other before I go back to work. Will update again as soon as we hear something from USE!!
