I am so happy to be OUT of PGN and going HOME!!!!

As many of you know I arrived yesterday to foster Zack until we could get him home. Yesterday was perfect with Zack, he was lovable and all smiles and giggles. He slept from 7:30pm till 3:30am and then needed to be changed and wanted a bottle.

The FM was feeding him every 2 hrs only 4oz, which is crazy!!! He is now at 6-8oz and not every 2 hrs  LOL I will have to start all over again with the ceral and baby food as right now he will NOT take it!! he will spit it at me and throw his bottle. So he was going backwards.

He has grown but only in length, I plan on taking him to see the Dr maybe later this week. I want a current weight and length on him.

I had my meeting with PGN today and all went GREAT!!! The director is a wonderful lady...REALLY!!!  I had to wait about 3 hrs to be able to see her but that wait was so worth it for us. I was nervous and scared to go into her office to say the least!! LOL We talked about Zack being sick and she read the Dr medical report, she asked if I knew he was sick and did we still want him anyway, she then smiled as I answered yes, we didn't care we love him no matter what and want him home to get the care he needs. Then she wanted to know where our Notary was, she said we paid him to work our case why wasn't he there instead of me, he should have been there with me if not for me.

She had someone run and get our file, it was down stairs. She then went through our file and looked at alot of things. She showed me pictures of Zack's birthmom and Zack together from the BMI(you know I was crying already). She then started looking at all of our pictures of our family and house. She asked if we could build her a kitchen like that....LOL

She kept a document off to the side and I kept trying to see what it was, BUT ya know I can't read spanish  LOL the only thing I could read was PGN on the top  LOL

She asked me questions as to who had been taking care of the baby, how was the foster mother paid by me or someone else, was there a contact between us and FM, where the baby had been staying, what I did for a living, where we lived and what city and where was my husband still in the states. I answered everything honestly. And invited her to St.Louis  LOL

She then held up the peice of paper and said you might want to frame this.... I thought it was another KO!!! BUT it wasnt, it was her signed approval for Zack. She didn't make us fix the previo that we was told we had, maybe we didnt have one.. maybe thats what all the questions was for.. who knows!!! I was able to get our file today from PGN and hand deliver it to Attorney!!!

She wished me luck and even gave me a hug!!  LOL  Zack is NOW our son!!!!!!

We are looking at 5-6 weeks and we will be HOME with Zack!!!! I am so happy we made the choice of me coming here, it was the best choice we could have made for us and Zack!!!

I will take some pics tomorrow and get them posted for you all... These last 2 days have been quite busy!! to say the least.

I wanted to Thank Debbie and Kevin for watching Zack for me today!!! It was a life saver!!!

Well today was my last day at work until October 13th....It was one of the longest days....I thought it would never end  LOL  It was also one of the saddest days and I'm sure Joe (new MIT taking my place thought the same thing about the long day) He was so happy to be getting out of there at 4, BUT better start getting used to ong days....LOL   BUT things had to be done before I left  LOL  I couldn't just leave without doing what I was suppose to do  LOL

I really think between Joe, Tamara(my asst) and P-Nut(chrissy my shift leader) the store will be fine!!! I'm just scared ya know???

Well tomorrow we are having a get together before I leave, I'm sure my brother had to work so he won't be there, neither will Steve's brother....But it will still be nice with the small group!!!

Sunday Carolyn, Matt and Clay are going to stop by before I leave and before they return to GA. It will be fun seeing them again as I'm sure Clay has grown so much!!

And as all of you know me, you know I will repack the suitcases a million more times  LOL

I do look forward to meeting Kevin,Debbie and little Hannah next week as they are living there too and hopefully Kimberly, Lannie and Ozzy the following week as they are coming for a visit. I have talked with these families for a while as they are also with our worthless agency. Stacy I hope to see you soon too!!!!

Well off to get out of this uniform that I won't have to see again for 3 months  LOL

Tomorrow Zack turns 13 months old, this has been such a long and hard journey to getting him home...and we still have a long way to go from here!!! I am just praying that me going will push/shove someone to do the right thing!!!

I will post more after we get settled in down there.

I have posted some pics of our new home in Antigua, this is where Zack and I will be staying until we can bring him home. It isn't really large, but I thought it was very cute. We do have a small back yard to sit outside at the tables. I think Zack needs some fresh air anyway...LOL

One of our friends lived in one of the other ones and said this one had a roof leak (thanks Kevin and Debbie) I did ask about that (without naming who told me) and Paul said this has been fixed.

I have no idea how long I will be there, but we hope it is a short time. I asked Marco last night if when I get there if I could go talk with PGN myself and plead with them to approve Zack's case, I am waiting to see what he tells me. I have heard of this working for others... I mean what so I have to lose at this point?? Right now they are going back and forth about the case being actually KO of PGN...AS is trying to not let the file come out with a previo(KO) and he says PGN is being difficult about it... I think they are pushing to let us add the document with out the KO. I can only pray something happens soon.

I don't know what I am going to do with my time down there as I am used to working so many hrs at work....BUT I'm sure I will find something to keep me busy (Zackary)  LOL

Well I guess I'm all ready to fly out, I just need to finish packing my suitcase and I will be set. I do feel much better knowing where I will be staying.

As soon as we hear what is going on with the battle of wits over our file I will let everyone know.

Today was one of the hard days, as this marks the 1yr anniversary of getting Zack's referral he was 3 weeks 3 days old. I can not beleive a yr has passed and we still don't have him home. This is heart breaking to say the least!!!

We got an email from Marco today saying " YES you have a preview" like we was suppose to know this... last we heard was it was NOT confirmed yet!!!!

Mayra had told us that the document needed was already fixed as we are waiting... So now we wait for them to let our file OUT again, so we can start over in PGN!!!!! I am hoping that after the BMI it isn't as long of a stay.

I am so sick and tired of the whole process, it has really taken a toll on Steve and I... I just really want this to be DONE!!!

Steve and I have decided that I won't room with anyone, I needed my own space for Zack and I.

I fly out Monday the 21st at 5:45 am.... I am starting to get nervous and scared... BUT I know everything will be OK!!! Steve is starting to worry alot, and is scared I will get down there and be stuck...So be it!! I want OUR son HOME where he belongs and if this is how I have to do it, then I am going to do all I can to get him home to us!!!

They have no idea what a mama bear is like  LOL

As soon as I get confirmation on the apartment I will post pictures of it.

Happy 4th of July!!!

As many of you know we have been looking at apartments in Antigua for me to stay in when I leave in 2 weeks. I have been looking nonstop for something that we would be comfortable in. We (Zack and I) really don't need a lotof room. LOL  So we have been looking into some studio apartments. I got an email today from a gentleman down there with some photos of a really cute apartment that we really like. I am waiting to hear back from him on the cost and everything. We will have to see if there is a deposit on this, which I think there would be.

I am hoping to fly out the week of the 21st, I would have Luis pick me up at the airport and take me to the store to stock up and then off to get Zack and meet with his fm again and find out his schedule and stuff.

This is going to be a great experience for me, don't get me wrong am I a little scared? YES, being away from home and not really knowing anyone and I will have no help with Zack. But we are hoping that I won't be there for a long time, we are hoping maybe a month and no longer than 2 months. But right now we can only hope, that is what we keep ahold of to make it to the next day.

I will be taking the laptop and keeping everyone updated on Zack and what he and I are doing with our time. I will keep pics posted on him as well.

As soon as we find out exactly what apartment we are going to get I will post pics of it on here.

Now on to the BAD news: We found out that our file may be getting another KO for a document that Rosita had filled out. It has already been corrected and we are just waiting to see what happens.

Here is what our attorney is saying about this: “I’M WORKING ON HAVING THEM GIVE THIS CASE PRIORITY DUE TO THE HEALTH CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE MINOR, I HOPE TO HAVE SOON FAVORABLE NEWS.  AS SOON AS I DO, I’LL LET YOU KNOW”

 This is what AS is saying about all of this:  sounds like the attorney is trying to work on your case with some priority due to Erick’s health condition.  I also know that Marco is working on this too.

 I hope that you get good news soon!!!

 God bless and HANG IN THERE Kim, I know it’s difficult and hard, but I know that God is on your side and that He will not leave you alone on this journey.  What you are doing is beyond good and you’ll be able to see this through to the end, when you have Erick home with you.
