I was able to get an appointment with my doctor today after having missed my appointment last week, thanks to the hurricane. I am 1cm dilated!
Im soo excited! I am also measuring a week bigger than what I am. My doctor discussed inducing me at 39 weeks (Sept 28th) b/c she seemed to be just a bit worried about the baby being too big at 40 weeks. I told her I would think about it and let her know next week. Other than that, Madilyn's heatbeat and everything else was perfect! Now if I could just get rid of this puppp I would be even more happy!

I had that best baby shower this past weekend! I got just about everything that I needed. I have the best family and friends. I've been having so much fun putting the finishing touches on Madilyn's room.
I had a doctors appointment Monday and when we listened to Madilyn's heartbeat she got the hiccups! It was soo cute! I actually got to listen to her hiccup for a few minutes. My doctor was laughing! She said it isn't often you get to actually hear them hiccup when you listen to the heartbeat. Everything checked out fine. Madilyn is doing great...Much better than her mommy at least. Sunday was not a good day. I fell in the kitchen. My foot fell off of my flip flop and down I went. I twisted my ankle pretty bad, but luckly I did not fall on my tummy. I caught myself on my hands and knees. No more flip flops for me until after Madi comes! To top things off...I've developed a pregnancy rash on my tummy and my doctor said there isn't really anything I can do to heal it. I've been taking aveeno baths and applying lots of lotion, and that seems to give me some relief for a while. But it is really bad. Im soo uncomfortable. It's a painful itch. Im hoping it will go away soon so I dont have to suffer with it for the rest of my pregnancy. Other than all of that, I guess things are ok. Im just soo ready to meet my little angel! I start going to the doctor every week after my next appointment in 2 weeks! Im looking forward to that! It means it's really getting close and it wont be long now before Im holding Madi in my arms!

YaY! Madilyn listened to my little pep talk I gave her and she turned into the head down position! She is also face down making it hard to get a good picture of her....but I'm just glad she turned! The tech said at my next appointment to let them know that we did not really get to see her very good because of her position and they will try again. But from what we could see...I think she is soo cute! She has chubby little cheeks! So maybe we'll get another 4/d ultrasound and I can get some better pictures of her! Go take a look at out little angel!

Well, I had my doctors appt. today. The doctor asked me if I've been feeling the baby move more lately and I mentioned how I've actually been feeling her move less. That concerned her because she said that I should be feeling more fetal activity now...not less. So she wanted to do an ultrasound just to make sure everything was ok. She said that if there isn't enough amniotic fluid, that could be a reason that the baby isn't moving as much. So we did the ultrasound and they measured the fluid, and everything looked normal. What they did notice however, is that Madilyn is breech (head up instead of down) and her feet are straight up infront of her face. Dr. Paine said that this would explain the decrease in fetal movement. Other than that, Madilyn is perfectly healthy. She said now the only thing she is worried about is if Madi does not turn by 35 or 36 weeks, I will have to have a c-section. Now Im soo nervous because I definitely do not want a c-section. Im really hoping to be able to go natural. Dr. Paine said she will check Madilyn's position from now on at my appointments. I go every other week now so Dr. Paine will be able to keep a very close eye on her. Keep us in your prayers please!

I had my glucose test today! I was not looking forward to it at first, after hearing how horrible the orange drink is that you have to drink. But I have to admit...I thought it was actually good! lol But then again...there is not much that does not taste good to me these days! I should have my results from that by the end of the week. Other than that, it was business as usual. Madilyn has a strong, perfect hearbeat! I go back in 3 more weeks and then my doctor said she wants to start seeing me every 2 weeks after that. Two trimesters down...only one more to go!!

Im just a few short months away from meeting Madilyn...I can't believe it!

Wow! I can't believe it! A little girl on the way! We are soo excited. It is a great feeling to finally know what we are having. Todays appointment went great! Madilyn looks great! She is as healthy as can be. The doctor said that she is actually measuring a little bigger than what they expected for her to be at 20 weeks. She was 12oz and normally a 20 week old baby is 10oz. It either means that Im a little further along then what they think, or Im feeding her well! lol. The ultrasound also gave me a due date of Sept. 29th! We are half way there to meeting our little angel!
