Meredith pulled herself up on the railing on the top of the stairs, reached over and then stepped to meet her arms, and then crawled up the stairs to the bonus room.  Oh my goodness, we are never going to be able to leave her for a second!  We're starting to cruise!

On Saturday Meredith went to her friend Zen's 1st birthday party.  There were lots of babies there, and Meredith really enjoyed playing with her balloon.

Meredith has been practicing her crawling everywhere, and also working really hard to pull up.  She can pull up to her knees and pulled up to standing on our hearth in front of the fireplace (we have it babyproofed, I promise).  She is quite active!

Meredith also enjoyed eating watermelon today.  Yum!

So on Monday, Meredith crawled forward, with purpose, quickly - we can put the sticker on the calendar :-)  She went after the remote and when she got there she was so proud of herself!  She's also doing a lot of trying to pull up lately, and likes standing on her own (holding on to something) . . . she decided to do everything at the same time, I think!

No shots at the 9 month appointment - hooray!  Meredith is healthy and happy, doing great developmentally and growing well.  She is 28 1/2 inches long (75th percentile - do you think she'll be tall??), 18 pounds, 5 ounces (40th percentile - all caught up!) and her head circumference is still 90th. 

Meredith was such a good girl this year, and the Easter Bunny took note.  Meredith enjoyed playing with her basket and eggs and reading her nursery rhyme book.  She also got a new stroller, a swimsuit, hat, sunglasses, and coverup, PJ's, and some onesie and pant sets. 

She wore her pretty dress and went to the church nursery, which she doesn't always enjoy.  We had Easter lunch at Max's house and Chance was there too - the babies had fun together.  There was so much excitement today that Meredith really didn't want to take a nap!

We were excited to see that Meredith used the "pincher grip" (her thumb and forefinger) to pick up a puff (sort of like disolvable Cheerios - a gift from Chance, how nice!)

This weekend Meredith also started doing the "army crawl" - scooting along on her tummy and pulling herself forward with her arms - as well as more crawling backwards. 

We went out to dinner tonight and Meredith charmed everyone in the restaurant!  She was in a fabulous mood today and smiled at everyone.

At Primrose today there was an "Spring" Bonnet parade.  All the children of all ages wore bonnets of their (or their teachers') creation and paraded down the halls.  All the little babies had tiaras/crowns - too cute!
