I'd like to think it's because she got a "move and crawl" ball on Monday, but Meredith is really working on crawling.  She gets a little frustrated when she doesn't actually move, but her knees are in the right place underneath her and her arms are out holding her up.  Get ready world . . .

Also, apparently a little stranger anxiety might be coming on.  Miss Lee said that they were interviewing a new teacher at school, and when she held Meredith, Meredith made it clear that she did NOT know who this was holding her!  We'll see how this goes . . . she was great with Grandma and Grandpa last weekend, but I'd like to think that she remembers them.

We had a great weekend with Grandma and Grandpa!  They taught Meredith the "uh-oh" game, where when she drops her toys (which happens often) they say "Uh-Oh!" much to her delight.  Meredith got some cute little outfits and showed off her bow.  She also showed off how she loves to sing "When You're Happy and You Know It."  She was busy moving around the room - not crawling just yet, but doing plenty of stretching and rolling and rocking.  Ben and Ginger got to go on a late Valentine's date on Saturday night while the grandparents babysat.  Meredith was an angel as usual and went right to sleep at her bedtime.

Today Meredith and Mommy played a fun game, where Meredith tentatively put out her hand in between my feet and I would surprise her and grab her hand.  She shrieked with delight for a good 10 minutes!  We're also working on clapping and waving - Meredith is working hard to mimic us.

We spent lots of time outside this weekend, enjoying the nice weather.  Amelia and Meredith got to have dinner together and play - Meredith liked stealing Amelia's toys from her.

Meredith isn't crawling yet . . . but she is rocking her legs/bottom while her arms are out a good bit. 
We tried giving her some "solid" food - these "puffs" by Gerber.  Although Meredith puts absolutely everything else in her mouth, she refused to accept these.  She liked mushing them and throwing them on the floor though.  We'll try again later!

So when I picked up Meredith at daycare today, she was wearing a Primrose t-shirt.  She managed to have accidents in both her original outfit (the cute Valentine outfit Aunt Melissa got) and her backup outfit.  They say she gets to keep the t-shirt though.

Time to do laundry!

We had a great trip to Little Rock to visit Nana, Aunt Melissa, Granddaddy, Nana, Uncle Jacob (who insists on being called just Jacob), and got to introduce Meredith to Aunt Brit, Jason, and Miss Elsie.  Nana showed off Meredith at her work, everyone showered Meredith with gifts, we got to see Uncle Jacob play in a basketball game, ate lots of good food, and generally had a great time.  Meredith did pretty well on the drive up and back, but I think she's going to be a little off for a few days!

Meredith showed off her sitting up skills and how well she's using her hands.  And of course she looked very pretty and smiled a lot.  She loved all the attention!
