JOURNAL A new friend at school!posted on 09/15/2007 We found out that Meredith's friend Amelia will be joining her class in October. And her across the street neighbor Graham will be in the class across the hall. She has lots of friends at school! We feel really comfortable with Meredith at Primrose - we've gotten to spend time with the teachers and have seen how much they cuddle and love on Meredith. It helps make going back to work a little easier, knowing that she is in good hands! Miss Anandi came over last night and we all went out to dinner. Meredith was a very good dining companion. AND she slept from 9 to 2:45A, and then until I woke her up at 6:30A! Today we're tailgating for the Georgia Tech game, and hopefully Meredith will get to see a little bit of the game tonight. We're looking forward to a visit from Uncle Bill, Aunt Linda, Shelia and Delbert tomorrow. Comments (0) From her teachers at Primrose: posted on 09/11/2007 Meredith had a wonderful day. She showed us those beautiful bright eyes today! She is a doll! Comments (0) A Big Weekend! posted on 09/10/2007 On Saturday, Meredith went to her very first tailgate. She looked adorable in her "Bizzy Bee" outfit and sun hat. The family strolled around campus, and Daddy got her 2 Georgia Tech onesies so that she's official. Betsy held Meredith for most of the tailgate, through which Meredith slept. We didn't attempt to go to the 1:00PM game - too much sun! We went to Amanda and Dean's housewarming party later that day. Meredith got to meet Hayes and another little boy and check out the Matthew's very nice house. Betsy's sisters Leslie and Carrie, and Carries husband Chris came by with dinner on Sunday and to spend some time with Meredith. Comments (0) Grandparent's Day posted on 09/07/2007 Meredith wants to wish you a very happy Grandparent's Day! There was a "program" at her school today, and the teachers asked me to sing "You Are My Sunshine" to the kids and guests. Since all of Meredith's grandparents live far away, we were sorry that you couldn't be there, but I can give you a private concert when you come visit :-) I spent about an hour and a half in her classroom, and it was really nice to talk to her teachers and some other parents. She is very well cared for at Primrose. Comments (0) A New Cousin! posted on 09/04/2007 Meredith's cousin, Ryan Alexander Clopper, was born today! She can't wait to meet him. Comments (0) Primrose Update posted on 09/04/2007 From her teachers today: Meredith has grown over the weekend! She was awake this morning and was very attentive and alert when we talked to her. Comments (0) A Long Weekend posted on 08/31/2007 Ben and I are both off from work today, so we get to play with Meredith. Meredith and I met Kelly and Amelia at the new Starbucks next to our neighborhood (it's great!). Comments (0) Is She Sleeping Through the Night? posted on 08/30/2007 This is a question that parents of newborns hear a LOT . Since Meredith was so little when she was born, though, and she's only 2 months old, it doesn't seem like she's going to be ready to do this any time soon. But last night she ate at 8:30P, and she didn't even stir again until 4:30A! At that point I gave her a snack without unswaddling her or changing her diaper, and after 5 minutes she went right back to sleep. We had to wake her up at 6AM to get her day started. Yay! An (almost) uninterrupted night's sleep! I don't know if she'll make a habit of this, but it sure was nice last night. Ben weighed her this morning and she was 9 1/2 pounds! We hear that 10 pounds is the magic number, so we'll see. And she looks so cute in her clothes - it's a very good thing. Comments (0) |
