Okay, so not new clothes, but Meredith has a closet full of summer clothes (a lot borrowed from cousin Kendall and our friend Shea) in sizes she couldn't wear yet.  But while some are still a little too big, Meredith is filling them out MUCH better now.  So now she has lots and lots of cute outfits from which to choose.  (Probably a good thing, since she's only made it home from daycare in the same outfit in which she arrived twice - she needs lots of costume changes!)  More pictures in different outfits will be forthcoming, I'm sure.

Meredith will have smile "conversations" with me now - it's so much fun to see her delight!

Meredith started going to the Primrose School this past week, as Ginger went back to work (half time for now).  Her teachers are Ms. Cato and Ms. Hale, and she gets lots of hugs and cuddles!  Paul, Collin, Garrett, William, Ellery (our neighbor), Avery, and Riley are in her class.

Meredith got to see more of her neighborhood friends this week, at play group on Wednesday where Catalina had a baby shower (she's expecting a little girl) and at Kim, Sid and Tyler's going away party. 

We decided to try giving you a bottle of formula – and you took it no problem!  You ate very quickly, 60+ oz. in 10 minutes at 8PM.  Later on that night, when I was feeding you at midnight, you vomited – hopefully it didn’t upset your tummy!  And it wasn’t until Thursday at 10:30 AM that you had a very, very messy diaper.

You had a pediatrician appointment . You weigh 7 pounds!  You are 20 ½ inches long and your head circumference is 36 cm.  You are in the 5^th percentile for weight and the 25^th for length and head circumference.  You are doing great – on track developmentally.  Yay!

You woke up to eat at 1:45A and went back to sleep without a problem.  You woke up again at 5AM, but Daddy gave you a pacifier and that kept you until 5:30.  I fed you at that point, although you only ate for 15 minutes.  I put on your mobile and you lay quietly for a little while, but were awake when Daddy left.  I got you up to eat at 7, but you weren’t much interested in eating at all.  Then we went on a walk around the neighborhood, and you went down for a nap.  I expected you to be hungry by 8:30 but you kept on sleeping.

You were fussy between 2 and 4 today – I thought that maybe you didn’t get quite enough to eat.  It took a while to calm you down.  You went on 2 strolls today, one in the morning with Mommy and one in the evening with both Daddy and me.  Amy Makepeace brought dinner and a cute bunny bib for you.  I downloaded new pictures of you.

You settled down to sleep well – yay! 

This is the day that we were expecting you to be born!  It’s hard to believe that you’ve already been around for 3 ½ weeks, although it’s also hard to remember a time when you weren’t in our lives.  Monday was the first day that it was just Meredith and Mommy at home, without Daddy or Nana.  It’s definitely different, and Mommy is getting used to your schedule.  So many people have come to visit you – it’s incredible!  Everyone is so nice.  Uncle Drew sent 2 strollers to you today – I couldn’t believe it!  It was a very nice gift.

You were fussy between 7:30 and 9:30, and then you fell asleep – until 12:30!  I meant to give you another feeding, but you seemed to be okay.  You slept again until 5, and then we both went back to sleep until 8.

Your first dinner out, at Muss and Turner’s with Daddy, Mommy and Nanna.  You were so good – not a peep all dinner!
