Tonight as we were driving back from the restaurant, I said, "I love you, Meredith."  And she said, "I love you, Mama."  My heart melted! 

At the same restaurant she ate her entire plate of popcorn shrimp.  This kid can eat!

Adrien, Prameet and Anika came over to play this morning, and Candace and Hayes came too!  The kids had fun playing with Meredith's toys, and then ate some lunch.  It was so great to see Ani - she has grown so much!

Amelia and Graham (along with their parents) came over and played shortly before bedtime on New Year's Eve.  Their parents enjoyed a party a bit longer after all the kids went to bed.

This morning Meredith got to see what Santa dropped off at our house (since it was too big to go to Nana's house in Little Rock).  He rearranged the bonus room, and half of it is devoted to Meredith's kitchen and table and chairs.  She also has a little nook with her chair and all her books.  Meredith was really hungry when we first went to look at the kitchen, so we had to get some breakfast before playing with it.  It's pretty cool though!

We gave Meredith her spoon and fork from a dining set and she ate TONS of vegetables.  She's getting good at it!

Meredith is glad to be back home . . .  

Meredith had a wonderful Christmas!  She was so excited to see all the presents laid out in Nana's family room on Christmas morning - a stroller for her baby (and a bottle!), pots and pans, play food, blocks, more books, crayons and a coloring book, and a pink popper that she pushes all over the place.  She didn't eat Christmas dinner with the rest of us - she needed a nap - but she was a joy.

After that Meredith got to meet her Aunt Jan and Uncle Larry and Granddaddy and Nana Tammy's house.  She enjoyed watching Uncle Jacob and Aunt Melissa play Guitar Hero on the Wii.

Meredith impressed Granddaddy and Nana Tammy by saying the names of all the ornaments on the tree!

We had a big celebration and Granddaddy and Nana Tammy's house, with Aunt Brittney and Bobby, Gabe and Jason, Aunt Ashley and Aunt Melissa, Uncle Jacob . . . Meredith opened her presents, including lots of play food!  She enjoyed eating lots of food for dinner.

Before going to bed, Meredith set up her Little People Nativity set from Nana and listened to her new bear read "'Twas the Night Before Christmas."  She looked adorable in her red Christmas pajamas.

We got pictures taken with the whole Laney side of the family Tuesday morning.  Meredith was a very good girl!  She looked very pretty in her red dress.  She was glad to meet her cousin Gabe.

Meredith went to church . . . and was an angel during the last part of the service (we snuck in late) hearing Aunt Melissa sing "Go Tell it on the Mountain."  She got a little overwhelmed meeting so many new people after church though.

Meredith put her Care Bears in Nana's tree as decoration.

Great Uncle Bill and Aunt Linda came to visit, and Meredith had a great time.  She was very good at dinner, and she enjoyed the piano and puzzle book they gave her.
