I am ONE!

My birthday is in 2 DAYS!!!!!  Yah!!!!

Well my fever went back up on Friday and the doctor called to say that they found ecoli in my urine cultue!  YUCK!  My Daddy picked up Amoxicilon for me to start on Friday.  Well, I took 3 doses of the medicine and then broke out in a rash all over my body on Saturay night.  I went to Urgent Care on Sunday morning and we found out that I am allergic to Penicilin.  They gave me a new antibiotic and I am now really feeling better.  I still have to take my medicine for another 5 days but I m feeling MUCH better!

Being sick is NOT fun at all!  I started getting sick on Sunday night.  I went to bed at 9:30 p.m. (woke up at 12:30, ate a bottle- which is not like me and went back to bed) and slept until 2:00 PM- YES, in the afternoon.  When my mom came in I was extremely hot so she took my temperature.  It was 101.6.   I have never had a fever before so she was worried about me.  She called the doctor and they said to give me Motrin and give me lukewarm baths every 30 mintues.  My fever went down and then spiked again later.  I slept a lot that day and didn't have an appetite.  I refused to eat or drink.  I went to bed for good at about 10:45 p.m and slept until 11:30 a.m.  I had a temperature of 104 when I woke up!  The doctor was called and since I hadn't been eating or drinking, they wanted to see me right away.  When I went my fever had broke due to the Motrin.  They checked me out and we were there for 3 hours!  They had to draw blood from my arm and use a cathater to get urine from my bladder.  I was completely dry so I had to wear a bag home to collect my urine.  It was uncomforable and not fun!  When I finally went pee many hours later... of course only a small amount of urine actually went into the bag,not enough for the test.  The next morning when I woke up I had a 103.4 temp so we went to the doctor for them to collect more urine.  I was exhausted from that and from being sick.  I slept all the way to the doctors and all the way home.  When I got home I then slept from 2:30-7:15 p.m. and went back to bed at 9:45p and slept until 10:30 a.m.   I had a 102 temperature when I got up and my mom gave me more Motrin.  I had a fever up and down that day and finally kept my fever down in the evening.  This morning I woke up with NO FEVER!!!!!  The first day without a fever since Sunday!  I was really cranky so I ate and went back to bed.  Hopefully I am on my way to a good recovery just in time for Mother's Day and my birthday next week!  One week and I will be 1 year old!

I am getting more and more confidence in myself and I am starting to walk.  I have been taking steps here and there, but I really started tonight.  I will do it on my own without anyone trying to get me to do it.  I am not walking super long distances, but it is so much fun.  I walk from the table to the couch, from the couch to my daddy or mommy, so many places!  The more I do it, the faster and better I will be able to do it!   My mommy and daddy are so excited and proud of me.  If you haven't seen the video of me walking... check it out!  I love to watch it too. :)

I learned how to crawl last Wednesday (March 5th)!  I had been getting up on my hands and knees but only rocking and now I know what to do to get around.  I am ALL over the place now!  My mommy and daddy turn their heads for a second now and I am gone!!  It's pretty neat!  If I see something I want, I am there! 

I also learned how to pull up to a standing position which is sometimes dangerous!  I have fallen a few times, but now I kind of know how to sit down carefully from a standing position.  Since I know how to crawl and get to a standing position... naptime and bedtime have become quite interesting... sometimes I play until I go to sleep and other times I am standing and walking around the crib.. other times I am doing this and screaming! 

I LOVE to walk in my walker and chase Mollie.  It is so much fun!  When do you think I will be walking on my own???  Vote what you think on the poll on the homepage.

I got my first stomach bug.    I started throwing up after my bedtime routine on Wednesday night and I couldn't eat anything.  I went through 3 different sets of pajamas and threw up on my daddy and my mommy.  Thankfully, Jesus helped me sleep 8 hours in my bed without throwing up!  When I woke up in the morning I ate a bottle and threw up.  At that point my mommy and daddy knew that I was sick.  At first they thought I was having a reaction to the dinner I ate.  I slept a lot on Thursday and seemed to be getting better and then I started getting diarrhea.  YUCK!!!  It didn't make my tummy feel good.  To top off all of that, I am cutting my top tooth now and BOY does it hurt!

 I passed the bug to mommy and she was sick on Saturday and then daddy got sick on Monday.  My Gramma even got sick and I only saw her on Wednesday for a little while.  The only family members that didn't get sick were Mollie and Simpson.  Boy were they lucky!!!
