Ok...major slacker.....

thought I should update:)   Seeing I havent in ages. Well, we had Olivias sister come along...Rebecca Vicki was born on November 17th at 1201pm.  She was a water birth and it was pretty quick...6 hours all up, no drugs, no tears.  So all in all it was fantastic.  So life has been pretty busy in the past 2 months with my two girls.  Olivia loves her new sister and gives her loads of cuddles and the occassional wack!!!!  They are both growing so fast.

Thanks to my Aunty Linda who has reminded me that I havent updated in ages, so I better get on to it!!!!  I am 35 weeks pregnant with Olivias little sister.  We have a name but its a suprise!  Olivia is now 18 months old.  Shes an entertaining little girl with a fun personaliity.  She has a firey temper like her old man and has just mastered temper tantrums.  Shes still not the best sleeper in the world but what do you do???  Shes got 16 teeth now, she can walk run and just about jump.  Shes starting to string words together and calls herself a cheeky girl.  Shes so cute!!!

Shes back to the hip specialist in 2 weeks as there are some concerns that she is rolling her hips in.  Her feet turn inward quite a bit too, so hopefully they will give us some answers.

Other than that, we have been cruising along.  Looking forward to meeting the new bub in about 5 weeks and we'll see how Livy goes with her new sister.  Should be interesting!

Well, I know i have been really slack...what is it, 4 months since my last post????  So much has happened since then.  December Olivia started getting teeth, now she has 8 and her molars are coming through.  She started crawling at Walkerville over new Years and walked 2 weeks after her 1st birthday.  We got married on April 12th.  I am 10 weeks pregnant..due in November.  Wow, thats a lot!!!  Olivia says a few words, mum dad, bird, dog woof woof, ta, hello bye bye and babbles a fair bit.  She went from sleeping through the night to waking every night since new Years.  we have managed to stop night feeding and no more sleeping with us.  Its been hard and we are tired, but hopefully getting somewhere.  I went back to work 2 months ago and Olivia is at family day care 3 days a week.  I think thats it.  i will put up some recent pics when i get home (at work now).

Wow I have been slack...almost 2 months this time.  Olivia is now HARNESS FREE:) We got the good news late in Novemeber and its been busy busy since!!!  She is rolling and rolling and sitting and moving...not quite crawling, but almost there.  She gets into everything.  Shes just cut her first tooth..only a few days of sookiness for us:)  She says dad and laughs at us when we try to get her to say mum.  She had her first sleep over a Nanna Duffies house....and screamed halfway through the night!!!

She had her first tantrum last week in the middle of the shopping centre...all over a banana.....what have I got to look forward to?????

Other than that, shes a great kid, shes easy going and shes happy.

Whats been happening in the last month???? Olivia is frequently rolling, back to front, front to back.  She can sit unassisted for about 30 seconds and she loves it on her tummy now.  She can shuffle across her play mat to reach her toys, but she finds that very tiring.  We are giving her 2 meals of vegies and fruit a day and soon we will be introducing meat.  She loves her food, which is great.  Her sleep is getting much better, at worst she wakes up once over night and she still has one big sleep during the day along with a few cat naps.

I am enjoying not being at work, although what I do now is full time.  Am busy running the house, looking after Olivia and planning our wedding....we are getting married in April so have much to do!!

we went back to the specialist yesterday to see how Olivias hips are going.  We were hoping to be harness free, however, the ball of her hip hasnt grown enough for them to be satisfied, so its another 8 weeks of night time harness.  Her hip is stable and stronge.  The doc couldnt feel any clicks, so thats a good thing.  We had to buy a bigger harness...again, coz she just keeps growing.  While I am sitting here, shes yabbering away (she can say dada) and shes scooting around on her back.  Kind of like a crab.  We get her weighed and measured on Monday which will be interesting, seeing shes started on her soilds... oh she hated the farex, but I convinced her to eat the avocado, so thats it.  Avocado for breakfast!!!  Will start introducing some vegies soon:)

Ok I have been VERY slack writing here, we are just cruising along happily.  Olivia see the specialist at the end of the month and hopefully we can be harness free alltogether.  I actually dont mind it now, its part of our routine, but I am sure Olivia will be happier sleeping without it.  Shes sleeping beautifully, awake at most once per night.  Since the harness has been off during the day, shes spending heaps of time on her tummy and today she attempted to crawl...she pushed herself almost a metre along before cracking it.  And since last Friday, shes rolled from her tummy to her back about 6 times.  She loves to stand and look around too.  Shes starting to say dadad/didi and it looks like she may have some teeth on the way (grizzle guts) shes chomping and dribbling and the gums are red.  Our next major thing to do is to start her on solids....i have a few weeks to prepare, but shes watching us eat and practices her chewing mouth...its so cute!

Six weeks came and went for Olivia to have her harness off for baths.  We were supposed to give her 20 minutes a day, but we saved it up and gave her two longer sessions a week.  Itwas great to see her have so much fun.

Went and saw the specialist and although the hip has gained good coverage, its still unstable, so for the next 8 weeks, Olivia wears the harness at night and it comes off during the day.  It took a few days for her to work out her legs, but now she kicks them about, constantly.  Shes getting much better on her tummy and is able to sit up on her arms for about 5 minutes.

Sleeping is getting much better too.  For the past 3 nights, she has slept through and that makes for a more functional me!!!

I am enjoying her squeels and her cooing.  She absolutely adors her daddy and gives him great big smiles and laughs.  We are just working on teaching her how to say dada... cant wait!!!!
