29 weeks 1 day Well on Friday we had our first hypnobirthing class with Maxine. I think it will be $400 well spent. She put us into deep relaxation and we visualsed things that made it seem so real. Pretty cool. Now we have to listen to CDs to relax and recite affirmations to help keep me positive and relaxed about the birth. Only 7 weeks of work left now. Hooray! Mum has booked a one-way ticket to come over on Dec 19th. It will be so good having her here with us especially for Christmas. I am starting to get very excited about meeting our baby now. A bit over 10 weeks away now. Oh and also on Friday we recieved a Baby Bjorn from Brent and Mel in London. Dave already tried it on for size. Things are in progress for the baby showers too and the nursery is nearly ready to be started. We put the attic ladder in and I will paint it and Dave can put on the architraves.

28 weeks 5 days
On Wednesday night we had our first of two breastfeeding classes. And yes David came along too :) It was interesting. The video was kinda gross. I really didn't need to see other women's saggy old boobs. Tonight we have our first hypnobirthing session and I am actually a bit nervous about it. But I'm sure it will be a big help during labour.
As far as the baby goes, it is doing all sorts of twists and turns. I no longer can tell which way up it is, I think it changes through the day by the feel of the movements. I have been feeling very well and can only complain that after a long day on my feet that my back gets a bit sore. Otherwise I feel very well. The heartburn has settled down too.

28 weeks 2 days I had my first antenatal appointment last night. It was good as they didn't show any videos. Phew!!! And it wasn't too gory. I felt light headed a few times when she was talking about needles and the placenta stuff but otherwise I was ok. Dave did well too. Didn't embarrass me like he normally does with silly questions or smart arse comments. We just talked about the stages of labour and when to call the hospital etc. Then last night I dreamt I gave birth to a girl. I wonder if that is a sign? I weighed myself this morning and I have gained 8 kilos. I hope this isn't a big baby!!!

27 weeks 1 day Well we are now in the 3rd trimester! Hasn't time flown. I am really showing now as you can see in the photos but enjoying my big round belly even if it does get in the way a lot. The baby is kicking like a champion. Nothing painful yet but some make me really jump. I swear I felt a foot earlier today. I got some good news. My friend Jane and her husband Jonathan are using their contacts to help ship the bassinet over from Hobart. Should arrive this week. So excited about that and now we can start setting up the nursery. We got our new bedroom suite for our room and can start preparing our old furniture for the babies room. Nest week we have our first antenatal class at the hospital. That will be interesting but if they make us watch a birth I am closing my eyes! I don't need to see that to make me scared. My only complain this week is a touch of heartburn, but nothing some chewy tablets don't solve.

26 weeks 3 days Last night we had our 26 week appointment at the hospital. I had to drink a glucose drink then 1 hour later have some blood tests. I will get the results at the next appointment in 4 weeks. She also felt my belly and said the baby was head down and it's back is facing my right side, so it is the little bottom that I can feel on my tummy. Then she listened to it's heart. When she was doing this I was lying on my back on the bed and as she was pushing down I got really dizzy (weird because I've never been dizzy lying down before), so I had to roll on my side because she said it was compressing the big vein to the heart. Then she took my blood pressure and it was 80/50. After that I suggested that I lay down while she do the blood tests. After I had settled she took my blood pressure again and it was 98/60 so a lot better. Everything else is going well. Still getting leg cramps in bed and it is getting harder to get comfortable in bed at night but I am sleeping well and not having to get up to pee (yet).

24 weeks 3 days Well I think Little Landy definately had hiccups yesterday morning. Maybe it didn't like me sleeping on my tummy that night. I am certainly getting bigger all the time now and my clothes are all getting too small for me. I find myself holding and rubbing my tummy all the time and I am still loving the kicks. But sometimes they are a getting annoying like when I was trying to have a serious discussion with a collegue at work and all I could think about was the baby kicking me so hard in the tummy. Very distracting! Today the kicking has been even more. I swear it is practising karate in there. It is constant kicking and turning and now I am trying to figure out which bits are doing teh kicking. I will post a picture of the nappies I've been making. The housing is coming along really well. David has the week off and is busy renovating. We get carpet on Friday which will be brilliant and David is working on the new front fence. Mum will be thrilled when she see's the old fence gone. Oh and HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY Mummy!!

23 weeks 1 day Well I think the baby had the hiccups this morning. I'm not sure but it felt very much like it could have been. So cute. Really made it feel real that there is a baby in there doing it's own thing. I have been busy making modern cloth nappies for the baby. It should save us money and is better for the environment. Plus there are so cute and look so cuddley . Only 13 weeks of work left. Yippee! and only 17 weeks until we meet our baby. Will it be a boy or a girl. That is the mystery. We'd better get a move on thinking of names now.

22 Weeks 4 Days Last night I went to a modern cloth nappy making class. I bought a pattern to make the HoneyBoys nappies and needed some help learning to follow the pattern. The class was excellent and I even videoed the bits that I found hard. They even gave me the nappy they made to start me off. So now I am going to buy a sewing machine and the material and start a production line. They are as simple as disposable to use and better for bubs and the environment and will work out a lot cheaper in the long run especially as we can reuse them for the next baby. Plus they look soooooo cute. Even David was impressed with them and was shocked that I will be able to make them. I am very excited about this venture and can't wait to start. Everything else is going well. No complaints. Tummy is feeling pretty stretched now. Bizzare feeling really.
