I had my first OB appointment today. David came along too. He checked my boobs and tummy and blood pressure. All good.
I had to have a blood test for my thyroid and the check to see that my iron levels aren't too high. And and a urine test because the pathology lost the result of my last one. And booked in for my 18 week scan.

He said I am fine to have the baby at the birth centre. Yay. So all is going well so far.

Oh and David's brother is measuring up for our new kitchen tomorrow.

8 Weeks 3 days

Yesterday we went to have our dating scan. We had one 2 weeks ago but it was too small to see anything. This time we saw it straight away. There was a baby in there!! What a relief. We saw it's little heart fluttering and we heard the heart beat. Nice and strong and fast.

My morning sickness isn't so bad at the moment. I can eat most things now and if I take my mind off feeling sick I bearly notice the nausea anymore. Maybe the morning sickness tablets are helping.

7 weeks 6 days 

First day back at work after my trip to Thailand. Thailand was great and I actually felt pretty good most of the time I was there. Probably because I was eating more than usual and therefore I didn't feel as sick. Tomorrow I have another dating scan at the hospital and David is going to come with me. Can't wait to see our little bubby on the screen. I hope all is well in there.

I told Stan at work today and I swear he nearly cried. He gave me a big hug and was really thrilled for me which was a great relief. Now I will just have to tell the big boss, Bob on Monday when he gets back to work.

4 weeks 

This morning I did my first pregnancy test. David was still half asleep when I ran in to the bedroom with the stick and announced that we are having a baby. The two lines came up almost straight away. I had the day off but Dave has to work. I when and bought a book called "Pregnancy for Dummies". I thought that was appropriate!

I can't believe that I am pregnant!  I keep going back to look at the test to make sure I'm not dreaming.
