| I'm starting to work on facial feature names with you and today when I was changing your diaper I asked you where your nose was and you immediately grabbed your nose and said "no, no" It was so cute and nasally b/c you had a firm grip on your nose! Now we need to work on eyes, mouth, and ears!

| It actually snowed in Baton Rouge!! We got about 4/5 inches. You were excited to be outside, but not so sure about the snow. It was pretty hard for you to walk in.

| It took me a minute to figure out what you were saying. You can tell it more by inflection than by pronunciation. I usually tell you 'no,' but your siblings always tell you 'stop.' Now you are saying it back to them. You will fuss and bang your hand and say a sound that seems like Stop. I even saw you start to get into the movie cabinet and then say your stop sound a few times and then hit yourself on the thigh and emphatically say stop. You were fussing at yourself!

| There is a few things I could record here. You love to have me sing. If I am holding you and start singing you will lay your head on my shoulder and hum along and then pop up and look at me and then slam your head on my shoulder again and hum some more. But I also noticed last week when we were driving in the van that you went crazy when Stephen's favorite Ghostbusters song came on. You were kicking your feet against the seat and clapping and bobbing your head with a big old smile on your face!

| The Mattson's were here and you had pulled up to the coffee table and let go and took two steps before you plopped on your butt. After that you were constantly trying.

| Clapping some. Not too consistently and not sure exactly when the first time you did was. I know it was within the last few weeks. Really like playing patty cake and signing 'more' both of which are me helping you clap.

| You loved splashing in the waves and eating the sand. You were even an angel and took a nap on the beach. We went to Santa Rosa outside of Destin.

| You waved goodbye to Grandma when she was going back to work from her lunch break and definitely made her day! Sometimes you scrunch your fingers in and sometimes you wave your whole hand around.

| I couldn't believe it! First you pulled up to your knees and were trying to get something from the shelf under the couch sidetable and then a little while later you pulled completely up to your feet holding onto the couch. It was a lot of work but you did several more times by the end of the day. Aunt Susie is so happy that you are doing all these "firsts" at her house!

| For a few weeks you have almost sat yourself up as you were crawling around and stopping to look around you, but never quite figured out that if you pushed a little bit farther you would end up sitting up. A couple of days ago you figured it out! Now I find you sitting up all over the place and all of the time. You crawl around and then find a toy and then sit up and play with it. So many new accomplishments this week and all at Aunt Susie's house!

| I was getting pretty frustrated trying to nurse you b/c it was like a wrestling act. You wouldn't stay still and just nurse so I decided w/ the move coming up that it would be good if you would take a bottle. So I tried one with you and you took it easy. I laid you on the floor and you held it yourself and drank it down. Guess we are beginning to wean...

| We went swimming this evening with Gabriel and Jonah (and their parents!) at the Davis's pool. From the first moment I put you in the water you kicked back in your floatie in the ultimate lounge and looked like you loved it. You kept trying to chew on your float and we were just hoping you wouldn't pop it! After lounging for a while you got pretty good at moving around on your own. You were better at kicking your feet and moving than your older sister!

| Not totally sure of the date. Sometime over this weekend you started doing so much better sitting up. You can almost push yourself to a sitting position, but don't realize it yet. But I can put you down in a sitting position with some toys and you hold it until you decide to move and then you roll to your belly and take off after whatever caught your interest.

| Today was the first time we have been to the doctor b/c you were sick. You have a nasty cough and you could hear it all rattly in your chest. Dr. David says you probably have a sinus infection, but for sure you had an ear infection in one ear and the makings of one in the other. You are such a good baby. I didn't even know you had ear problems b/c you were sleeping and eating fine, no fever, and for the most part happy. So now you are on your first antibiotic- Amoxicylin. (the pink stuff) You take it really well.

| While we were at Aunt Becca's I watched you moving around on the floor and a toy kept pushing away from you. You dug your elbows in up under and pushed forward. Now you are army crawling. Not all the time. You still roll alot, but you are moving forward when you want to.
You also have your walker figured out. You follow us now instead of just pushing backwards all the time.

We were at Chelsea and Shane's and you were laying on the floor in her living room trying to follow Ava with your eyes while she walked around you and that was it. You rolled over from your back to your stomach. That is harder because momentum doesn't carry you over. You have to get over your shoulder and elbow. Now you are even trying to scoot. Well, almost. When you are on your belly and looking at something you dig your knees and toes in and almost seem to be trying to push off. Won't be long know until you are chasing after these sibs.

Nathan was sleeping through the night and then stopped sleeping through the night. It was suggested that maybe that meant it was time for cereal. Well, Mommy really wanted her sleep so yesterday she bought some cereal and tried it with you for the first time last night. You did great. You didn't spit it out or even make weird faces. You especially liked chewing on the spoon once the cereal was over. And you slept through the night!!

I think this was the first day you did it. You are really talking to your mobile or anyone who will listen with lots of little gurgling noises and a few hard 'B' sounds. There are now lots of raspberry and blowing spit bubbles included. It is so precious!

| We are having to work on timing issues with you and your sister Lexie in the same room, but you have spent the last 3 nights in your bed and done great. It doesn't wake her up when you cry for your early morning feeding.

You slept from 8:30 p.m. until sometime around 4. When you went to sleep that early I thought you would get up for one more feeding, but you didn't. We have gotten better timing over the last few nights. You have been going down between 9 -10 and then sleeping until 5 - 6 a.m. Very nice!

| Jessie was here and Daddy was gone. It was evening and I went to lay you in the crib on your belly to go to sleep, but you weren't ready to go to sleep and you were mad enough that you rolled over. I went back in there to check on you a few min. later since you were still crying and there you were flat on your back and screaming up at the world. You have been rolling over ever since as long as the surface is hard enough that you are laying on. We'll have to see how long it is before you roll from back to belly...

There have been one or two times w/ a slight chuckle that we thought was a first laugh. But tonight Daddy was tickling you and you laughed several times. Mommy got it on video. You are ticklish around your collar bones, tops of your knees and on your back.

Actually you have been smiling for about the last week. I'm can't say what day or time the very first smile was. But you love being talked to and will light up and reward the talker with a big grin. You are so beautiful and you melt me with that smile!
