I can't pick an exact date, but sometime in the last month or so you started really using Mama and Daddy to call for us. It's pretty cute when you stand at the top of the stairs into Daddy's room and holler "Da-eee!" until he answers you. You will also holler for me when you are wanting out of the pack'n'play. Or you imitate the kids when they are calling me and telling me something.

Two nights ago you were still awake when I helped Stephen and Lexie brush their teeth. I put some kiddie toothpaste on one of Stephen's old toothbrushes and gave it to you. You popped it right into your mouth and started brushing away. I think you did a better job than the older kids. I thought you would just suck on it, but you were really trying to mimic the back and forth motion of brushing that you see us doing. Then you climbed up on the stool and had a little drink. The only problem was you didn't want to give the toothbrush back when i decided it was time to be done!

Today is the first time I saw your stand up unassisted. You have been walking everywhere, but crawling when you fall to the nearest something you can pull back up on. Standing up was the only thing holding you back. Well in the kitchen this evening I saw you go from sitting to kindof squatting and then you stood up - all by yourself! Now two days later I have seen you do it a few more times, but it will take some practice. You still crawl and pull up a little bit b/c it's easier.

You can play peek-a-boo yourself now. It is the cutest thing. I'll say, "Where is Nathan?" and then you will clap your hands over your eyes and then throw them down with this big old grin adn say your version of "Peek-a-Boo!" with all the right inflections. So cute!

We had your first birthday party today! It was LSU football themed. It was for 2:30 in the afternoon and lots of people came. Dreamy & Pop, Allison, Mr. Pascal, Aunt Karen, Chelsea & Ava, Grandpa & Grandma, Grandma Dottie, Papa Pete & Peggy, Aunt Jackie with Olivia & Lily, and the DePaolis'. You were pretty sleepy, but watched all of us sing to you and kept your eyes on that candle. Mommy blew it out for you and then gave you a piece of cake. You didn't go too crazy, I think b/c you were so tired. You ate some of it and then were trying to feed it to me and Dreamy and Grandma. You got some new outfits, a firetruck ride-on toy, and a big new wagon. All the kiddos got tiger tattoos on their faces and we had yellow balloons everywhere. You loved chasing those. It was a great party!

You are walking sooner than your siblings did. It has been about a month since you took your first steps and what progress you have made. Now you are walking all over the place. It has just been this past week that you have really been trying. Everyday you got a little steadier and now you can even pause and change directions. The only thing holding you back is that you can't stand up by yourself. Most of your crawling now is just when you fall/plop and then you crawl to the nearest thing taller than you to pull yourself up and try again. I'm so excited for you. Both of your siblings didn't start this process until their first birthdays, but you will be running by your birthday next week! The only drawback is how hard you are to hold. Now that you can walk you think you should be down and walking all the time just like your brother and sister!

You have more teeth coming in. There is a side tooth coming in on the left side next to your two bottom front teeth. There is also your other canine tooth on the top coming in. You already have three in on the top. Teeth or no teeth there is not much you don't eat! Makes Grandma nervous how much I give you.

You have the best laugh in the whole world and nobody can make you laugh like your siblings. You love it when they play with you. Especially peek-a-boo! You are also very ticklish. I wish I could bottle your laugh!
