Ben is such a big boy now.  He has many teeth and getting some of his molars.  These have caused him some tummy trouble and we hope they are all in soon. 

At Ben's 1 year check up he made the charts--the percentile charts that is.  Up until now, he wasn't registering but now he is as big as 10% of the other kids his age.  Way to go Ben.  He is growing and continue to amaze us daily. 

At our trip to see the Dr. for the ear infections, we weighed in at 19 pounds.  I guess table food is agreeing with him.  Thank goodness we went ahead and got the bigger car seat.  Looks like we will be needing it sooner than later. 

Ben only has one more round of his monthly RSV shots.  This is a good and bad thing.  We are so glad he doesn't have to have these shots anymore, but they were helpful.  Also, I will miss not having the nurse give us monthly updates and assure us he is healthy.  Nurse Nancy is very nice and takes such good care of Ben! 

At his monthly RSV appointment, he was almost up to 16 pounds.  He is back on cereal (had some stomach issues) and doing well.  He is eating well and likes it.  We will try a few different cereals before moving onto Veggies or Fruits.  His stomach isn't ready for those yet. 

At the December checkup with his RSV nurse, he was almost 15 pounds.  He is getting so big and heavy--It is so hard to carry that seat and him around.  I don't know how you ladies with big babies do it. 

Ben continues to grow and grow.  The Dr. said he is up from the 3rd percentile to the 20th percentile for weight.  He is still in the 3rd percentile for height.  Who are we kidding--he isn't going to be a giant.  Look at mommy and daddy for heaven's sake. 

Ben has his first ear infection and we went to the dr.  At his appointment, he was up to 12 pounds.  We hope the ear feels better soon. 

Last Wednesday we went for a weight check and Ben has gained another pound.  I am sure now that at a week later, he is even heavier.  He just is so cute! 

At a weight check on Monday, the 18th, he was up to 6 lbs. 6 oz..  He is a "lazy eater" so it takes a lot of work to get him to finish eating.  He just wants to go back to sleep--except at 11:30 at night! 

They have upped his feedings to 50cc which is 2 oz. every 4 hours.  He is taking most of the bottle, but sometimes he gets too tired to eat.  He is doing well and continues to gain weight. 

Benjamin was born weighing 4 lbs. 1 oz.  He later dropped down to 3 lbs. 10 oz.  He has been eating on his own from a bottle and gaining a little each day. 

However, he is now saying many things--sometimes on demand and other times just once.  His regular words are:  duck, truck, dog, and ball.  He has said sauce a few times while exploring in the fridge.  Maybe we have a budding chef on our hands. 

Ben sleeps and chews on that thing nighlty.  I need a replacement so I can wash it every now and then. 

Ben is usually taking a bath near 7:30 and then getting bottle and bed by 8:00.  We are not always on this schedule, but it seems to work for now.  He naps about 45 minutes in the morning and anywhere from 1-2 hours in the afternoon. 

Not sure if he is going to be a rocker or just likes to say "No".  He will shake his head to music and just for fun.  We are trying to relate it to "No".  Not sure if we are getting though--oh well, it is still cute. 

First tooth on the bottom left (if looking at him) came in today.  He won't let you look at it, but if you catch him while eating, you can see it. 

Ben is sitting up a bit on his own.  He likes to reach for toys and topples over a bit. He is making good gains.  I think he will be doing it on his own very soon. 

Ben is slowly bending and getting his legs up.  He has been pulling on his toys a last night, he put his big toe in his mouth.  Yum!

Sunday, February 1, 2008.  He was sitting up on the floor and reached down to grab a toy.  He found them and now seems to notice them more often while sitting up.  He hasn't pulled them up while he is laying down, but maybe soon. 

Ben was a super traveler on our 10 hour car trip to Indiana.  He slept most of the way and was just happy as a clam while we were there. 

Sunday January 11th--he was just laying on the floor in the den and rolled to his stomach.  He pushed up on his hands and then rolled back over onto his back.  Go Ben! 

Ben has several pacifiers, but after many tries, he comes back to this one.  Thanks aunt Christa, I think you got it for us. 

Aunt Michelle sent us a CD with fun children's songs.  His favorite is "When the Saints Go Marching In".  He really kicks his feet and waves his hands. 

He has been putting his hands in his mouth for a while now, but a few weeks ago he began looking at them.  He is trying to hold his bottle at times too.  Well, at least his hands are touching it. 

We went to Boo at the Zoo when grandma Anita and aunt Christa were in town visiting.  The animals were not out though, so it might not really count. 

Today was the day Ben was to be born.  He wanted to come much earlier. 

Ben's hair is dark brown, but he has very light eyebrows and eyelashes.  We aren't sure what color they will turn out to be. 

Right now, he is weighing about 3 lbs. 4 oz. 

Erika's friend from work, Julie, is having a little girl three days after.  We wonder who will make an apperance first! 

Our baby is 26 weeks old--6 1/2 months!
