Well Raleigh goes for his next Doctor's appt. on Monday. It's just for a weight check-up but I'm sure he's fine. He is so chubby! He ate 37 1/4 ounces yesterday. That's the most so far. He actually wanted that much. So his appetite is increasing. I know he is also getting bigger by the fact that yesterday we had an "incident" with the diapers not holding well. So it's time to go to size 2. Roy and I are have decided we now have to go through his clothes and put up some. I can't do it. It's to sad to think that he has already out grown stuff. Never to be worn again. We need to go ahead and have another baby so I won't feel sad. (until he/she grows up too.) However, I thought that desire for a second child would have gone away by now but it hasn't. Not just second but third too. :) Oh well! We have to wait. We still don't know if we can build here in a few years or if we are going to move. I will let you know how is check-up goes. I think if the Doctor says he still needs to gain weight, I will punch him. I don't want an overweight baby, I want a healthy baby and that's what I have.

Well 10 more days and Raleigh will be three months old! Because infant clothes are worse than women's clothing his clothes don't fit. Most are too big, some too small, and a few fit perfect. He goes in on the 15th of this month to get a weight check. I'm sure it will be fine b/c he is a little fattie now! :) He spent his first night away on New Year's! It was so hard for me. He stayed w/ Aunt Sallie and if she would have let me back out I would have! I cried for an hour when he left. I didn't want to go out but I did and I had fun. I was so happy to get him back though. We took a nap and I kissed him a whole bunch! He is sleeping right now b/c I forced him to eat a lot of milk! Raleigh has a tooth already. Okay, well kinda. You can see a tooth wanting to come through on the bottom. It has been there for 2 weeks. I can't believe how much he's growing everyday. It's truly amazing!

Well Christmas is finally over. Raleigh got so many goodies. Lots of books, clothes, and toys. Roy and I spent a whole day just taking them all out of packages. So many twist ties and tape. I can't wait till he can enjoy them all. Roy and I had fun playing with all the fire truck stuff. Thank you so much to everyone for his gifts. We love them all! Raleigh will be spending his first night away from Mommy & Daddy this Sunday. Aunt Sallie & Uncle Buck are coming up to keep Raleigh for New Year's. I think Roy and I are going to paint the hall and trim, and hopefully just spend some us time. I don't want Raleigh to go! I know I will miss him too much. As you all know I am not a morning person but when I get up at 7 and go get him and he just smiles and smiles at me it makes worth it. I love him sooo much but I know Aunt Sallie does too and Roy and I want to spend time together. I think it's important., however I think Sallie will probably turn her phone off b/c I am going to call all the time. Raleigh woke up sick Christmas morning. He is congested. We have vick's baby rub and Roy is bringing home some nasal spray. Hopefully he will be better soon. He is still happy and smiling though. If any one has any advice please let me know. (Roy's a bigger baby when he's sick!)

Raleigh had his first Christmas this weekend. He slept through most of it but he got some cute stuff. He has been eating his 6 ozs. He doesn't want to but he does. Not much spit up either. Right now he is napping. (Thank God!) As he gets older it gets harder and harder to do stuff. He doesn't take many naps at all!

Well Raleigh had his first round of SHOTS yesterday and it was worse for me than him, I think. He has been doing great. Very little fussiness and the swelling is going down already. He was to small they said so we are going to have to feed him 6oz. every three hours. He doesn't like that much but the Dr. gave us reflux meds to help. The Dr. said to add prune juice in every feeding, give reflux meds 3 times a day, mylicon every feeding, and tylenol every 3 hrs. till Sat. I feel that's extreme. Roy and I made a decision to wait and see how he does with the 6oz. and if he spits up a lot then we will do meds. (It really seems to help when you hold him upright during and after feedings. Also to stay still.) I've read that it goes away and already has been getting better. The prune juice really hurts his belly so we are going to see how that goes. He went 9 days w/out a BM so we had to do a suppository. That was not fun but he went and today after every feeding he has gone also. As parents we are choosing to take a less drastic step.I hate to put all that in his little body. We may have to start supplementing. Even though I am pumping plenty and he is eating it, if his weight still doesn't come up then we will have to use soy milk and formula. He goes back just for a weight check-up in Jan. then his 4 month check up in Feb. He did really well at the Dr.'s. He is just petite I'll say. He has been far ahead in his developmental, social, and cognitive skills. He was doing most of it 2 weeks before they said. He loves to smile now and follow you with his eyes. Thank you to everyone who cares for Raleigh. It means a lot to us. I'm sure he will gain weight soon. I am packing him full of milk. It's going to make the Holiday's hard but it will be okay. I will update more soon! Merry Christmas!

Everyone seems to really like Raleigh's Christmas card. That's great! I love them too! This Friday starts our Christmas celebrations. I can't wait for Raleigh to experience Christmas. Next year he will enjoy it more. Roy and I have to celebrate Christmas with my family(twice) , his family (twice), Pat, Lee & Ash, his work, my dad, and the church. All while trying to start our own family traditions. Christmas day is just us and no one else. Also every year Roy and I have been together we buy an ornament that means something to us. This year we have a silver rattle and have started Raleigh on the same. He has a giraffe baby's 1st Christmas w/ his name. I will do one for every year and when he's older he can have them for him, his wife and children. I think it's a great idea. Roy and I have 7 ornaments! Raleigh has his 2 month dr. visit on Thursday. He will be getting shots and I'm scared. I will post all of his info! BTW- You can signup for updates from this site. So you know when to come back!

Well I am so glad that everyone likes Raleigh's website. It is so much easier than emailing everyone. The pictures are what take forever. Just wanted to let you all know I will get Raleigh's Christmas cards out this week. Also, I am going to pick up his one month pics tomorrow. I will scan them soon. He is so precious. I swear that no one can prepare you for it. It is the scariest, greatest, and most rewarding thing I've ever done. I can't wait till all of our friends and family have their children. Raleigh has so many that will be close in age. Raleigh is 7 1/2 weeks old and just amazing. He watches his mobile now and thinks it is amazing. He gets mad when it turns off. He rode the four wheeler Sunday for the first time and fell right asleep. He was so warm and bundled up he didn't want to wake. He got his picture taken with Santa and he slept right through that too. He only screams when no one is around. I actually got on camera him spitting his pacifer out and putting it back in. He has done it for almost 3 weeks and it is so cute. We love you all and hope to se you all for Christmas, if not have a good one!!
