My gestational diabetes test was a couple weeks ago and everything came back where it was supposed to...whew! Next doctor's appointment is on 2/6 and then there are only about 8 weeks before the baby arrives! We are getting closer to figuring out her name, but nothing definite just yet! Hopefully we have it figured out before she gets here...We are both growing as you can see by the pictures (week 30) and sleeping is getting more difficult by the day! Good practice for the first few months!

Other than that, the baby moves around quite a bit and Rob enjoys antagonizing her whenever possible. Just kidding, but he loves to feel when she is kicking and likes to "tap" back to let her know he is there. He can also be found reading fatherhood books before he goes to bed on most nights and lately has been asking some interesting questions (not sure if the books are a good idea!).

My mom threw a fantastic shower this afternoon! It was a lunch at Caffeine and there were about 20 people who came. It was so nice to see everyone and celebrate. After lunch and delicious cupcakes (red velvet and cream filled chocolate...yum), we opened gifts and had some time to catch up. So fun and a big thanks to everyone! Especially my Mom! ;)

My mom felt the baby kicking for the first time which was exciting! Now Grandma/GiGi/MiMi/YaYa/Nana just needs to decide what she wants to be called.

We've been busy getting ready for the shower tomorrow. Can't wait to see everyone!

The baby got to experience her first unofficial Christmas! After a long day of cooking and eating we were both wiped out and soooo full! Can't wait for her to be here next year for her first real Santa encounter!

I have been feeling the baby moving around for a few weeks now, but wasn't really sure if that is what it was because nobody else could feel it. On Thanksgiving morning Rob could finally feel her moving around in there. What a great surprise!

Just went to the doctor’s office for our sonogram and we are having a GIRL!!! So excited to finally know. Watch out boys, this one is going to be a heartbreaker! ;) Now if we can only decide on a name.

[Note from Rob] When the doctor told us it was a girl, Tash screamed excrutiatingly loud with excitement.  Hilarious.

Talk about a let down...we had an appointment yesterday and were hoping to find out the baby's sex. Being 19 weeks and 2 days doesn't cut it with health care since you are supposed to be 20 weeks for my plan. So, after a little negotiating, we are going back on Friday instead of Monday. Friday never sounded so good!

On the plus side, we got to hear the heartbeat again which was great! Everything sounded good and is progressing on schedule. :) And we have a new doctor (again) that we met for the first time.

Provided the baby cooperates...we find out tomorrow if we are having a boy or a girl! This is such an exciting time for us and it will make everything seem so much more real. Maybe then we will finally start making headway on names and of course the shopping flood gates will be open!
