I'm almost 6 months old.  I love to laugh!  I am sitting so good and can play with all my toys while I sit.  I have a new standing table that I like to hold and stand at.  I am still trying to crawl.  Now I can go backwards on any floor not just the slick wood floors.  I also get up on my hands and knees and rock.  Mom and dad got a gate to block the stairs, after some friends who could walk came over and showed her how much fun it is to go up and down the stairs.  Also I have almost grown out of my infant carseat, so we ordered a new one.  We are going to Cozumel to Scuba Dive in 2 weeks!  Mom says I'm not old enough to dive so I might have to settle for swimming in the pool.  I love to swim!

We have had many changes in the last month. My mom went back to work 3hrs a day and grammy comes everyday to watch me. I had my first meal (rice cereal), this way I can last the 4hrs mom is gone, since I didn't want a bottle.

I love to play on the floor and in my jumperoo. I can push myself backwards on the wood floor, I can sit and play with toys at the same time.  Also I think I can crawl, so when I am sitting I push my self forward and land face first on the floor.  This means mom keeps lots of blankets around for soft landings.  I love to take baths with dad in the big tub.  I swim, splash and play with my rubber ducky.  I can roll over left or right from my back to my tummy.  I don't seem to see the need to roll onto my back since now I can scoot across the floor backwards on my tummy.  Mom has had to put lots of stuff out of my reach because now I can grab everything in front of me and it all goes in my mouth.

 Enjoy the pictures!

You can tell we've been busy, its been about a month since our last entry.  Aurora can sit up now, and is quickly learning to catch herself and rebalance.  She still only likes to roll to one side (back to stomach).  She can push her whole chest off the ground when on her stomach and is enjoying tummy time a lot more now.   We had to get her a jumparoo recently since she loves to stand and we got tired of holding her up.  She is also grasping toys better and reaching for them when they aren't offered right to her.  Everything goes in her mouth and despite a month of chewing like crazy and drooling no teeth have popped up.  She loves to talk, yell and scream, she is trying out all her sounds and comes up with a new one every few days (right now it's a high-pitched scream).  She even chats with other babies!

We had her friends over for a playgroup last week and had a blast, she loves to watch other babies.  Also we joined a mom support group and a playgroup to keep us entertained.  She takes the best naps after playgroup.  Unfortantly she no longer sleeps through the night.  She is waking every 1-3 hours.  Despite this I am determined to breast feed her until 6 months exclusively and we are proud to say we are still loving cloth diapers!

Well as  you can see from her recent photos, she is cheering on MSU women's Basketball team for Tuesdays NCAA tourney game.    Oh and of course learning to hold a hockey stick!

Aurora can now roll over from her back to her stomach, with ease on one side.  She has rolled from her stomach to back 2 or 3 times but still struggles with this one.  This mean she gets super frustrated and looks like a stranded turtle when she rolls to her stomach and can't get back.  She is talking a ton as well. We here an occasional MAMA and Sean says she said Agua one time.  ALso her first tooth is breaking through her gums, the sucky thing is that since she is getting a tooth so soon it is still hard for her to hold a teething ring.  This means she teeths on my hand or thumb and drools all over the place.

Mom has been proud of me this week.  I can roll on my side (not quite all the way over) and I am liking tummy time more and more.  Also I can hold a toy and bring it to my mouth to chew on.  Mom think's I am teething, because I am drooling like crazy and chewing on everything.  Also it seems to be waking me up at night.  I haven't been quite as good of a sleeper the last few weeks.  My sitting balance is getting better, I can sit in the boppy and on the couch.  My favorite person to chat with is Grammy Gail.  She comes to visit and I tell her all about the world and what's going.  Don't forget to check out my new photos!

Mom turned 30 last Monday, so we had a beach party today to celebrate.  I had lots of fun and played with Dean and Matthew.  I got to take a nap on Aunt Suz and she brought me a new monkey book to read.

I had a big day on Friday.  I went to playgroup at my friend Dean's house.  I had fun watching all the kids run and crawl around and play with toys.  Some of the other kids were curious about me and came to say hi and pat me on the head.  Next was my doctor appoinment and my first shots.  Ouch they hurt and I sure told mom that.  The doctor told my mom that if I missed a meal it wouldn't hurt me since I weigh 14 lbs, oh and I'm 23 inches long.

Friday night I went to my grandparents house and met uncle Ken and Aunt Jackie.  I had a 10 minute conversation with my Grammy Gail about my day with lots of expressions, smiles and coos.

My mom also wanted to report that I slept almost 9 hours last night and I have started to go to bed at a more reasonable hour.

I haven't rolled over again yet, Mom is still waiting.  But I can grasp toys, my Grandma got me a rattle that is the perfect size for my little hands.  I can hit and kick the hanging toys in my gym also.

Mom says I am growing fast, I can't wear any of my newborn clothes anymore.  Even some of my 3 month clothes are tight, but I blame that on my cloth diapers.

I rolled over last Saturday but it was by accident ( I was mad, that no one would pick me up).  My mom hasn't convinced me to do it again.  But I can hold my own weight when standing and sitting with balance help from mom or dad.  Mom keeps me busy in my gym everyday so soon I will be rolling over.  I worked out so much yesterday that I slept 7.5 hours.  My dad couldn't believe it.
