Gigi over at the house posted on 11/08/2008
I finished decorating the tree and Sam has already taken several ornaments off a few limbs. I need to remember to sit him far enough away from the tree next time!
Grandma Jewel came over tonight and we had such a great time hanging out with her. I made her famous spaghetti for dinner and it almost tasted like her spaghetti, but I was missing a few key ingredients.
Sam showed Gigi, mom and dad how he likes to eat his sweet potatoes and carrots. He loves eating real food and makes a 'mmmm' sound when he likes what he is eating. It is so cute and funny. I did learn this week not to leave the bowl of food on his tray when I get up to let the dogs outside. I did that and came back to find rice cereal all over the place. Ha!

Yard Sales? ...oh yeah posted on 11/07/2008
Sam and I went to a neighborhood down the street this morning because they were having a huge neighborhood sale. I have never been a big yard sale fan because I do not enjoy driving all over the place trying to find a good deal; however, I found two really cute things for Sam and it only cost me fifteen bucks. I will have to post pictures of them soon.
We didn't do much else today because we needed to recover from yesterday.

Busy Day! posted on 11/06/2008
Sam and I were sitting around when dad called to invite us to meet him and Gigi for lunch. I packed a few things up and off we went to meet them in Alpharetta. We had a really nice time and Sam sat in a restaurant highchair for the first time. I didn't have the cover with me, so I threw caution to the wind (big step for me) and tried not to think about the germs. He was so happy and proud of himself for sitting on his own. He kept smiling and talking to dad and Gigi as if to say 'look at me" Oh, and there was a little girl sitting in another highchair at the table next to us and she kept waving at Sam. I told him to be sweet and smile, but he is not allowed to have a girlfriend until he is 30!
We were on our way back when Sean called and wanted to meet us for lunch because he left early for the day. I didn't have the heart to tell him we just ate so we met him at O'Charley's. Sam and I just kept him company, and Sam entertained us with spoons again.
Sean started to clean out the garage and we decided to put up our Christmas tree today. We haven't decorated it yet, but I am glad it is up even though it is so early. I love it!
I was making dinner for some friends tonight and Sam was in his highchair growing impatient with me for taking so long. He actually fell asleep in the highchair - I felt so terrible, but it did give me some extra time to finish dinner for everyone.

Planting flowers posted on 11/05/2008
Sam and I went to the nursery up the road and bought some pansies and dirt for the front yard. I was going to plant them tonight, but I am just not feeling it today. I really need to order my tulip bulbs soon so I can get them in the mound out front.

Election Day posted on 11/04/2008
Sam and I headed to the polls this morning around 10:00 and we didn't have to wait too long to vote. We met a really nice lady in line and she owns a horse farm down the road from us and offered to give me riding lessons. She even said Sam could start coming when he is 2 years old, but I think that is too young for him to be on a horse. I'm excited because I have not been on a horse in about five years, but I honestly do not know how I am going to squeeze it in my schedule. I am already stressed out trying to juggle my PT work, Sam, the boys, the house, etc.
After "we" voted we headed down to the park for a walk. I put Sam in the baby carrier and I certainly had a nice workout. He is up to 22 pounds. We took a break on a bench swing and I gave him a bottle. We sat there for about 20 minutes and did a little people watching, which is something he enjoys so much. He is such an observant little fella.

Family Visiting posted on 11/03/2008
Sean's parents came to see us this past weekend and we had such a great time. We went shopping on Saturday and then went out to dinner. Sam has a new favorite thing to do - play with spoons during dinner. I think he dropped around 6 of them under the table. He is so fascinated with them.
Sam was very excited about the new truck book PawPaw and JuJu gave him. He really enjoys looking through books now and also likes to help flip you the pages.

Sam and I headed to the polls around noon today and I was pleased there were only two people in front of me in the line. I was in and out in ten mintues. You can't beat that!
We are going over to mom and dad's tomorrow and also will go visit Gigi too. Tomorrow is going to be crazy because I have so much to do!!!!!!!
I am looking forward to Thursday because I will have help at the house during the day. We are hiring a babysitter to be with Sam twice a week for a few hours each time. It is really going to help me stay on top of my work and also for me to keep up with the house. I am unable to function when the house gets out of order - weird but true.

Yummy pears and another vaccine posted on 11/01/2008
Sam had to go back today for the second part of the influenza vaccine. I had them weigh him to see how much he has grown - he is up to 23.10 pounds. Love it!! He cried for a few seconds after the shot. I hate that part!!
I gave Sam pears today and he seemed to like them more than apples.
Today is also the one year anniversary of when my Grandma Marge passed away. We can't believe it has already been a year. We miss her so much and are so thankful we were able to spend time with her just a few weeks before she passed away. God really blessed us!
