It has been a loooong time since I have written in the journal. I have become a car seat safety freak as some might call it. I am a regular visitor on carseat websites.

Sarah is 5 years old now and 120 cm tall/47.2". She is weighing in at 19½ kg/43 lbs. Her torso is 18". She has grown 3 cm/1.2" in the last 2 weeks. But it all went to her legs. She doesn´t get that from strangers. I have long legs too. I was curious how she would fit in the Multi-Tech car seat, which is her baby bro´s seat. he is 2 years old and 89 cm/35" weighing 12½ kg/27½lbs. I don´t know his torso length yet.

I took these photos of sarah today, and before you say anything: She is very happy in that seat and this is a swedish carseat which has different limits for child height and weight due to the very different design of the seat.

Plenty of clearance between the headwings and her shoulders. This seat is not outgrown before the tips of her ears are level with the top of the headwings - even if it means that the harness falls behind the shoulders.

HURAAA Sarah doesn´t want to wear diapers anymore!!!!! She has had 2 accidents after loosing the diapers

She hates it when Mathias picks up a toy. She steals it from him. She just started horseback riding!!!!! Yes, she rides a pony called Lasse on a local riding school. She loooves Lasse sooo much.

She has allways been a quite girl.

Mathias is very different. He would not listen to a "no" word until recently. he is just too curious. He keeps asking "a det?" (What´s that?) and points. He loves his walker and knows how to manuveer it. But there are days where he walks into walls with it and doesn´t want to turn it. This is when he becomes a bulldozer and gets mad when he discovers that the walls neither fall, nor do they move an inch, which makes him mad.

He has startet to let go and stand on his own for a few seconds. he is so proud of himself.

It has come to my attention that I have not written in journal since February. OOPS.

Well so much has happend since February.

Sarah is currently undergoing examinations for Autism. I highly doubt that she IS autistic since she likes to play with Mathias, comfort him when he is sad as well as playing with a couple of other girls aged 4 and 5. But it is rough. She does lag behind in some other fields such as language. She has a bit of a hard time understandning what´s being said - and not in a naughty way. This explains why we got her the Britax Regent other than the price. The only seat that harnesses to 80 lbs is the Britax traveller Plus which costs a staggering amount of 7000 dkr. We got the Regent all the way from the USA with USPS International Express and a fee for the Danish customs department for 2600 dkr.

She is just a quite and sensitive girl.

Mathias is completely opposite. He can fall down from something and not learn from it. He´ll do it again a few seconds after. He is all over the place and into everything - especially the things that he isn´t supposed to touch. He is walking with support right now and both commando crawling and doing "real" crawling and rolling as well as pulling himself up on everything.

Anyway, Sarah is 4 years old now and Mathais is 1. Mathias had more birthday cake on his clothes, hands and face than in his stomach

The things I say

Have become fairly funny lately. Like a few weeks ago, when my mom and I went to a local babystore in order to have a look at a bigger carseat for me (I am tall for my age: 98 cm. and 2½ years old). When the "carseat" man came down towards us. I looked at him and said "KVAJ" (fool) out really loud. Well, both him and my mom thought (hoped) I meant to say "Kaj" which is the name of my favorite teddy bear. He is a frog, and they have him in that store.

And from a toilet visit just before bedtime: My recepy for a good toilet visit:

"Boelser, diz and Peter Peal" (Poelser, tis & Peter Pedal) ( poo, piss and Querious George).

Also I have "BRAS" meaning "RUBBISH/CRAP" for breakfast. What I really mean to say is "FRAS" meaning "Cereal"

"LULULULULU" alas "Guleroedder) meaning "Carrots".

"Big Belly"

YEP, that´s what I say several times a day in the daycare center. And I pad my belly when I say it. I don´t have a big belly. My mom has a big belly. She says there is a baby on the inside of it. But I haven´t seen no baby yet, so she is just talking nonsense. And remember, that all the toys in the house BELONG TO ME - end of discussion!!!!!

By the way, the front page photo of me: That is me and my mom exercising my ballance and muscles. Both my  "oldies" roll me and the ball ofcause round and round in a circle small and big. Also the roll me all the way back and all the way head down, so that I can touch the floor with the palm of my hands. They hold me by the hips then. It is FUN and jumping on it like Tigger in Winnie The Pooh jumps is even more fun.

The photo of me on dad´s legs works almost the same way. Only with this excersise, I have to squeeze hard with my inner thighs. Then daddy lifts me all the way up, while he is holding my hands. And all the way down again as well as from side to side and all the way forward over his head. He can do this fast. My mom is too "fat" to do this.

Sometimes he lifts me up, so that I can get a firm grip around his hips with my legs. He holds my hands and then he rolls me down, so that my head is turned 100% downward as well as outward. Then he spins round and round or takes me for a short walk  inside the house ofcause..

I have been SO generous for the past few days HE, HE, HE.

It is DECEMBER 2006 = It is almost christmas, and I get one little present every day this month. Guess what I have given my mother for the past few days?

Mornings from 5am!! That is not the best present so far . NOPE, last night I slept beautifully from 8.15pm-3.00am. After that I was fresh as a bird. Did I forget to tell you, that my mother hadn´t slept at all, since she went to bed until I woke up???? Well, she hadn´t. I did spend like 2 hours in their bed pushing and kicking a little bit. I araely do this - REALLY! On top of it all, I wanted to take TWO teddy bears with me to the bathroom, when we got out of bed. I am only allowed to take ONE. SO, I just screamed the house down, and THAT woke up my dad.

My mom decided to call it a day off for the both of us. She was exhausted. She is pregnant again you know, so she gets more tired than usual.

At 7am I dropped my head on the couch, so my mom put me to bed. I didn´t want this ofcause, as I was watching Tom & Jerry. But this time, she did not pick me up, and I fell asleep quite quickly. I slept for 2 hours.
