6 Months! posted on 04/06/2008
Time flies! It is great to see all the changes that happen from birth till now. Jordana can sit on her own, crawl backwards and entertain us in so many ways. Although she has big soft cheeks, people say she is quite petite. We are going to the Dr. on Wednesday so we'll see how she is doing.
How did we spend her 6 month birthday?? We had friends (Jen, Pat, Kyle & Andrew) over for pancakes!!! Then we went to the zoo (Jordana's 2nd time), since we all got in free. Jordana was up for some of the zoo and Kyle and Andrew even sang to her!!! We walked around for a few hours and then headed home.
Randy, Jordana and I went out for dinner and of course Jordana got more compliments!!! I know her fan club agrees how cute she is!!!

The past few days! posted on 03/30/2008
Jordana has been busy. As an update, she can definitely sit up on her own, for quite some time now. She even puts out her arms for balance.
On Friday, we went for dinner at Bubbie and Zaidie's. Jordana then slept over till Sunday morning (while her parents took off out of town on Sat.). Bubbie was thrilled to have her all to herself for 2 nights. Best of all, Jordana sleeps thru the night for Bubbie, maybe good luck will continue tonight.
We picked Jordana Sunday morning and took her to our neighbour, Riley's 1st birthday. Of course, everybody thought Jordana was so cute. Jordana took a ride in a car at the party. Will post the picture when we get it!
After the party, we came home for a bit and then took her to see Grandpa Nick. He seems to think that Jordana has grown since last week when he saw her.
One more week till her next check up. I wonder how much she will weigh then, I don't think much more than last month!

Sleepover at Grandpa's! posted on 03/20/2008
I had my first sleepover at my grandpa's (or saba). He put pillows and chairs around his bed so that I would be safe. We both slept well! Of course we listened to music and watched some TV. I only had one toy to play with since my dad forgot to bring some with. Next time, I hope they bring a bag full!!!!
It's funny watching grandpa shave. He puts this white stuff all over his face, kind of looks like Santa Claus and then it eventually disappears.
I guess I will sleep there again! I also heard I will be sleeping at my uncle's soon too!!! Everybody wants me to sleep over!!! My parents must be so lonely and bored without me!

Teething? posted on 03/14/2008
Jordana seems to be different ever since her Dr. appointment, 2 days ago. These 2 days feel quite long since she is very fussy, unsettled and just not herself. Most noticeably this is at night. My guess is that she is teething. She drools more, has a cough, wakes up screaming during the night and is difficult to put her back to bed. Really, I can't find much that calms her. Her usual toys, don't help so much. She's had some Tylenol and tried a teething ring, which sort of worked last night. I find that when she knaws on my fingers, it is much harder than it used to be. I sure hope teeth come in soon, so we can all have some relief!

Check Up posted on 03/12/2008
Today Jordana had her 5 month check up. Everything is good! She is growing nicely and the Dr. wasn't upset about her getting her ears pierced. Jordana had another shot today, she cried for maybe 30 seconds and then was fine! We then had lunch with Bubbie and Zaidie, which everyone enjoyed - just not the food!

Soon! posted on 03/08/2008
It seems like Jordana will crawling soon. She is constantly turning on to her tummy and sometimes rolling back on to her back. When on her tummy, she is always rotating almost full circle. It also looks like she is moving backwards. Her legs are in position to crawl, one higher than the other. She still love to chomp away on her thumbs but also grabs her toes or even just her "cotton toes" in her sleeper. Jordana is more vocal, having lots of conversations with herself and we try to join in!!!! We are going for her 5 month check up on Wed.

Pretty Ears! posted on 02/28/2008
I got my ears pierced today. My mom was nervous and bubbie was excited. I am not sure who cried more, me or my mom. I felt fine seconds afterwards and especially when I got my bottle!!! I got little pink studs. I will post a picture later. I came home and played in my exersaucer and mommy keeps saying "peek a boo" to me. I think I am starting to understand, because I am starting to laugh when she says it. Right now, I am sucking on her wrist as I am typing my journal!!!
