Myles and Marshall

Miss Jess called last night and invited us over to play today. I love playing with Myles. He has a cool stuffed puppy that I love to carry around. It makes Myles jealous though. We run all over the place and are always really crazy! I found his recorder but Mommy took it away from me pretty quick. Boy is that thing LOUD! Shortly after we got there, we had some pizza and crackers and juice. Mommy is thinking we are going to have to have them come to our house really soon because we always go there and we always have lunch there. We have to repay them somehow. Marshall is almost a year old now and boy you should see him run around behind his walking toy. He's fast! Zia is going to be doing that soon too I bet.
Today was a little rough on us though. We both a had bad case of the "mines" and "gimmes." We really didn't share very well today. I also got a bit of an ouchie when we were playing with their laugh and learn kitchen. I got hit in the mouth with the door from the fridge. I'm ok though, it only bled for a second but I keep talking about it. I won't let that die down anytime soon.
We also have a hard time remembering things when we go there. EVERY TIME we leave, we leave something behind. We finally got our blankie back that we left there last year and then we leave my slippers there. Mommy didn't want me to bring them but I insisted and then we forgot them. Maybe one of these days we'll remember to check for stuff before we leave.

What are you thankful for? Leave me a message and let me know. We'd love to hear from you.
What am I thankful for?
- Daddy's computer, he puts all my favorite movies on there and I can watch things without commercials.
- Mommy, she plays with me, helps me bake cookies, gives me good food, lays down with me at night night time and for being so fun.
- Daddy, he works hard so Mommy can stay home with me and Zia.
- Vicky, for playing with me sometimes and sleeping with me at night so I don't get scared.
- Disney, for making all the princesses for me to adore.
- Time Warner Cable, for On-Demand and the DVR. I can watch some of my favorite shows even when they aren't on tv right now.
- that we can have good food, heat, a home and health insurance when a lot of people don't right now.
- that I'm a healthy girl. We had our first H1N1 shots last week.
- toys and books to keep me occupied when Mommy won't let me watch tv!

We've all been pretty cooped up in the house again lately so since it was a relatively warm day we decided to go on a hike. We drove up to State Park (where Mommy and Daddy got married) and started to get some fresh air. This is what we saw without even leaving our car.

We started off around the lake and I was checking everything out.
LOOK! A CROCODILE!! (At least that's what it looks like to me)

Mommy found me a walking stick pretty early. Good thing we had it too. I didn't really need it, but it saved Daddy TWICE from falling down while I was on his shoulders.

We didn't really see much of anything on our trip, but Mommy did find this bug hanging out in the sunshine.
I wonder what was living in that hole?

Taking a quick break.

I thought it was pretty cool to pile up the leaves and sit in it. I did this no less that 5 times!
We took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up without a bridge. We had to cross a little stream, good thing there were some downed branches to walk on. Mommy slipped a little bit and got a foot wet, Daddy did a good job of walking across and carrying me. I was kicking and screaming because I wanted to walk!
Mommy thought this tree looked funny. It looks like a giant goose walking (without a head).
Another break.

The trail is 1.6 miles long. Boy it sure seemed like longer!! I got tired and cranky half way through. Thank goodness for my Daddy's shoulders!
Mommy couldn't help but laugh at my butt crack. Like father, like daughter!
LOOK! LOCH NESS MONSTER!!

We had a good time and are glad we walked around the lake the way we did. We started with the "hard" side first. The second half of the hike was mostly flat and no climbing so it made for an easier walk out especially since I was so tired and on Daddy's shoulders the rest of the way. Daddy told me I could play at the playground for a little bit after our hike. I was so tired and hungry but I had to play. Worked out good too because Zia had to nurse. Mommy said we'll do it again sometime. Hopefully when the temps are a little warmer.

We got a last minute invite to a birthday party for Moriba. I have gymnastics with her little brother, Sam. I like playing over there because she's just as obsessed with the princesses as I am. They are everywhere in her house! I was most excited about the cake though.

While everyone was watching her open presents, I was playing with the toys.

After we got home, Mommy and I went to Target to get my snow pants and snow boots. I can't take them off!

Since it's getting so dark so early lately we've started movie nights. We'll all get together and make some popcorn and watch a movie. Tonight, we watche The Wizard of Oz for the first time. I thought it was ok. I really didn't sit and watch very much of it except when I was eating my most yummy, favorite treat, POPCORN!

We've all been cooped up too long and it's only November. So we all piled into the car and went to do some errands. Daddy had to stop and fill out some paperwork at a big building which was our first stop. Zia slept for much of the time there. Then we went to Toys R Us. I found all the toys for my wish list for Santa. Mommy will get that set up soon, I want everything of course! Mommy said I was very good and didn't beg for anything and is happy that I'm still happy "window shopping." (Mommy's note:: she was none the wiser that we bought her a Christmas present!) Then we ran over to Guitar World because Daddy had broken a string and needed to replace it. Then we went to Wegmans. At this point, it's past my lunch time and about nap time and I'm ready to blow up! I did good for most of the time and had some goldfish crackers to keep me happy. We checked out WKids and I'm really excited to try it in a few months. I can go when I turn 3. Mommy said we'll set up a playdate with some friends who have already been there to help me make the transition into going someplace by myself. I don't do very many things without my Mommy!
-----------------------------------------
Now here's a note from my favorite Mommy::: I finally decided it was time to take down the crib. Sonyea hasn't slept in it for a long time now and it was just collecting toys and storage. It served us well and Zia has her own crib set up in Sonyea's room that it was just time to take it down. It's officially in the dumpster because we lost a few pieces in a move and it just really isn't that safe for a new baby. We are giving the mattress to a friend who is getting ready to have a baby boy in a few weeks. Really, I'm ok with it but it's incredibly sad to know that my baby is almost 3 years old. Now we just need to find some mattresses for the big girl bed so she's not sleeping on the futon.

Zia is still feeling pretty poopy and the weather is great outside so Daddy decided to take me on a date today.
We went to the zoo. They are closed for the season already but since today was such a very nice day outside they opened up and let people walk around.
Daddy likes to do things differently, we went up the upper path and checked everything out from the top down. I was cool with that though. I had my snacks to keep me happy. We saw all my favorite animals and even got to play on the playground. Except I fell off one of the climbing areas. I landed on my head but I'm ok!
We even stopped at Burger King for lunch but because I'm still sick I didn't eat anything. Mommy is hoping I feel better soon because all of us being sick for so long is tiring.
