We went to see another movie today at the theater.  Mommy and Daddy had a few free passes from last year and decided it was time to use them.  I get in free because I'm 2.  It was a lot of fun, full of talking puppies too!

When we got up this morning, Mommy said if I ate my breakfast and  got dressed without a fight, we'd go and do something fun.  That usually means a park or a playdate or a playground.  So, I ate my poptart, got dressed and headed out the door.

The parking lot was still being torn up and prepared to be paved so we had to walk to our car.  It was parked around the block and we had to duck through some guys surveying and the loud trucks.  Mommy said she was glad we went out for the day.  Those trucks are too loud and the paving truck is very smelly.  She said me and Sister have sensitive lungs and don't need to breathe that crap.

So we are driving, and driving.  Then I have to go potty.  Mommy said I needed to hold it because we were almost there.  As we were pulling into the parking lot of the zoo, I noticed and yelled out "OOOHHHH ANIMALS??"  I'm really loud too.  Mommy brought me and Sister to the zoo!!  I was so excited I forgot I had to go potty and just wanted to go inside.  I almost got upset when Mommy took me to the potty but I did have to go.

Once inside I got to run around and remembered where everything lives.  We saw something new today too.  We went over and saw the giant tortoises.  They were boring though.  Just sat there.

Mommy and I were checking out everything and we've decided that my favorite animal there is the roadrunner.  Photobucket

It runs the whole time we are there and I like to run with it.  It makes me laugh.  Mommy taught me that the roadrunner says "meep meep" like the cartoon (whatever that means) so that's what I run around yelling.  Mommy said I'm hysterical.  We learned though, that the roadrunner actually hoots like an owl!!  Mommy did not know that.  She worked with that bird for awhile before I was born and she never heard it make a noise.  Also, while we were listening to that, we heard the crane making noises that Mommy had never heard before either.  She worked with birds like that in Nebraska for 3 years and here for 3 years and NEVER heard anything like it.  We got a video of it, but it's really hard to hear it because of all the background noise.

It was a good day. After nap, Daddy had to go to work early so it was just Mommy and me and Sister tonight.  I watched Aurora while Mommy made dinner and I really wanted to play, but since she was cooking I had to color and play with my toys.  Sister slept for most of it.  I was STARVING!  I ate my entire salad and my entire piece of lazagna. Yummy!  Mommy really is a good cook sometimes.

"Pretty"

My new favorite clothes are my "pretties."  I love to wear dresses now, at least that's what Mommy calls them.  I call them "Pretty."  Once I get it, I do a little twirl to show off how pretty I am.  I even call myself a Princess now.

Mommy got the pictures
posted on 06/03/2009

Since Daddy's phone was sitting right here, Mommy went ahead and grabbed the pictures she wanted off it.  Here's us girls with Great Grandpa Jacobs.  Mommy cropped it a little bit because the stupid dog was licking her butt in the picture.  Otherwise, Vicky would be there too.

When we went to the park yesterday and the geese checked us out, here's the first one::

Those two babies walked right up to us and were looking for food.  The one kept biting Mommy's finger, but she's the silly one who kept giving him her finger.  It was really funny when he kept trying to eat Mommy's ring.  It was very sparkly in the sun.

Mommy was teaching me that you have to not chase the big birds because they usually aren't afraid of people, see here::

The adults were hissing at us the whole time even though they showed the babies the way over to us.

The day before yesterday when we took my bike to the park, Mommy had to stop and nurse Sister so Daddy and I were throwing rocks in the water and then I found some flowers.  I was picking them for Mommy!

Humdinger and Otsiningo
posted on 06/02/2009

Mommy has been watching a tv show called Clean House.  Daddy doesn't like it, but Mommy has gotten the bug in her head to start getting rid of things. We cleaned out the storage closet yesterday.  Some things have been posted on craigslist and other things have been sent to the Salvation Army.  The only things left in the closet are holiday stuff, camping stuff, games, my bike and the vaccuum.  The stroller has been placed on craigslist.  Mommy is sad to see it go, but knows we have the new sit and stand so there's no reason to keep the old matching stroller.  We are trying to control the clutter.  Unlike the show it's going to take longer than 48 hours to get everything taken care of.  Especially when Sister needs to nurse every two hours and I have to play with everything asking "What's that?" Mommy hopes to get this place in shape so that if someone ever drops in unannounced she won't be embarrassed by the state of our house.  Even the upstairs.

Since I've been doing so good on the potty, Mommy decided a bigger reward was due.  I woke up this morning with my diaper dry on the floor and my bed dry!!  Then I woke up from nap with my diaper dry!!  Mommy's a little concerned about poop though.  I didn't poop today and I seem to not want to do it in the potty.  She still put me to bed tonight with a diaper just in case.

My reward was to go to the Humdinger!!  I got a chocolate/vanilla twist and so did Mommy.  Daddy got a sundae.  Then we went to Otsiningo Park and I peed on the potty, did a little bit of swinging and then we went on a walk to see the baby birds and the water.

I'm obsessed with the river and lakes.  So getting me out of the swing was super easy with talk about the water.  It was pretty cool.  There's a pond full of Canada Geese and their babies!  As we were walking up to look at the babies, a group came over, lead by the mommy or daddy and then the babies came right up to Mommy and Me!!  Daddy has the pictures on his phone and we'll post them in the next day or two.  If you don't see them soon, remind Mommy!  There were two babies that were chewing on Mommy's fingers.  She figures that people with little kids are always feeding them even though they shouldn't.  Why else would this group of birds come over to just Mommy and Me??  They quickly realized that we didn't have any food and walked away.  The rest of the geese hissed at us.  Mommy picked up a bunch of feathers for me to show off and then showed me how to fly.  I even flew backwards waving my arms/feathers.  Then we did a lot of running and headed home.

It was a good outing, Sister slept through the whole thing!

Don't want to jinx anything, but......

I'm doing so great on the potty Mommy wants to leave the house today.  It'll have to wait until after nap time now but I have been doing great on the potty.  Mommy is really nervous about putting me to bed without a diaper on too.  She's read a lot of things that says just do it so that I can learn to hold my bladder while sleeping.  Daddy thinks we should wait until I'm in a big girl bed so I can get up and go potty if I have to.  Sometimes the littlest decisions are the hardest.

Mommy said she loves helping me go potty.  You should see the smile on my face when I start peeing in the potty!  She said it's way precious.  Also, the funniest part, is the "pee pee/chocolate dance" afterwards.  While Mommy is getting my reward (either chocolate chips or M&Ms) I run circles singing "chocolate chocolate" with a huge smile on my face.  Mommy's camera takes really crappy videos so we haven't even tried catching it, plus, I'm naked all the time.  Mommy thinks it would be weird to post me dancing naked.  Something about the "times have changed."

We've got some really cute pictures to put up, but they are still on the camera and I'm sitting in Mommy's lap hanging out and Sister needs to wake up soon to nurse...  Maybe later tonight Mommy will get a few minutes alone to catch up.

Potty!

The best part of potty training is the chocolate!!  I love chocolate chips.  They are the good kind too, milk chocolate!  I've been running to the potty all day long and haven't had any accidents at all!!  I still wear a diaper during nap and overnight but Mommy and Daddy are so proud!  Maybe tomorrow, we'll try clothes??

Mommy and Daddy have started working out and walking. Saying they need to lose weight, so today we went to the walking park by our house.  We have to walk through the bridge over the water and my favorite part about the water is getting to throw rocks into the water.  But when I say it, it sounds like "walk on the water."  First I threw some big rocks in with Mommy

Throwing rocks with Mommy

and then we walked some more and then I threw some in with Daddy.

Thorwing rocks with Daddy

It's really funny to hear the noise different size rocks make.  My favorite part is when you throw in A LOT of rocks at the same time.

I also got to meet a really cool puppy at the park. She's a retired race dog. Really big body with a small head and long tail. She was really friendly and not scared at all of us like a lot of Greyhounds are.
