Grandma Patty invited us over for a birthday breakfast today.  I got up early and got dressed, had my "cupa" and off we went.  I was only shy  for a few minutes and then I opened up.  Skully has a bunch of really neat things to play with and I got to open a few presents.  Check out the photos to see what I got.  Thanks Grandma!!  I was really excited about the cake.  It was a personal size, Mommy called it a cupcake... but it's still cake.     YUM!  I have to work on blowing out candles though because I almost burned myself with the candles this morning.  I know how to blow on my hot food, Mommy is confused as to why I won't blow on the candles.  Plus, I was covering my ears because I was a little nervous about everyone singing some Happy Birthday song.  When we got home, all I wanted to do was play with my balloon  and my puzzles. I show Vicky how the phone and keys work too. 

I met Sophie again today.  I keep forgetting that Grandma has a cat.  I learned her name is Sophie today.  I even said it clear as day.  Mommy said it was the cutest thing.  I kept forgetting though and called her Vick.  She wouldn't come over and sit with me like Vicky does, but at least she came out to see me.  Grandma showed me how she likes to have her back scratched and I tried but she kept running away.  So I just kept trying to scratch my own back, Mommy's batteries died on the camera so she can't show you that cuteness.  But believe me, I was cute! (did you know that my new word is "cute." It's so cute."  ) 

Mommy said some exciting days are coming up next week.  I wonder what she's talking about.  I know she's told me, but I really don't understand yet.  We'll keep you updated.

We stopped and got another potty ring today since we have two toilets in the house and only had one potty ring.  Mommy didn't want to run up and down the stairs if I had to pee and the ring was somewhere else.  Since I got a bath after lunch today, I didn't get a chance to sit on the potty upstairs before getting dressed.  Mommy was getting me ready and asked me if I wanted to go potty.  I said yes.  So off we went to the bathroom, Mommy went first because she's pregnant   and then she helped me get nakie.  I sat down and just a few seconds later I went pee pee on the potty!!!!      Mommy said tomorrow we are going to try going potty a lot and see how I do and if maybe I'm really ready to try to potty train.

Mommy got me up and we had breakfast and instead of playing or laying around, she got me all dressed up and off we went to have my 2 year old pictures taken.  Daddy got up and went with us too.  I didn't so as good as I did back in Halloween time.  I really didn't want to do what they wanted me to.  Typical Terrible Twos I guess.  We did get a few cute pictures for Mommy's collage and we got a free 8x10 so Mommy is content with my pictures.

Usually when Mommy and Daddy are working in the kitchen, they send me on my way to play or watch a movie.  Today, Mommy asked me to help her!!!    She had all kinds of ingredients laid out on the counter, pulled up a chair for me to stand on and started measuring things out.  First I got to dump in the flour, then the baking powder and something else, I forget.  She gave me a spoon and told me to mix them up.    She wouldn't let me help with the eggs though.  I did get to mix in the vanilla and add the butter.  She really gave me a fright when she started the electric mixer though.    I really didn't like that.  Once it stopped, I came back to help.  Mommy had some chocolate chips and asked me to put the bag into the bowl.  Well, I had a better idea.    I reached into the bag and grabbed a handful and popped them into my mouth!!  YUM!!   I got really mad at Mommy when she told me I couldn't eat any more.  She dumped the bag into the bowl and gave me a spoon.  I helped her stir everything up and then I started eating the batter.  Mommy said that's her favorite part of baking too.  That's why we don't do it very often.  The end result was way yummy!    I wanted to eat more, but Mommy said no, we can have some more tomorrow.  SIGH, I love cookies. 

It was time for us to get out of the house since we didn't go anywhere or get out of our pjs at all this weekend.  We went to the mall so Daddy could get a new belt and I did a lot of running around.  I lost my freedom privilege at JCPenney's though.  I wouldn't listen and cried because my Mommy was mad at me.  After I got my punishment of staying with the stroller the rest of the time, I was free to hold Mommy's hand and I was a good girl after that.  Mommy was proud. 

We stopped in a few of the kid's stores to look at clothes for baby Zia's coming home outfit.  Mommy found the perfect one and will post a picture of it on Zia's webpage later.  She just needs Grammie to find a pair of white tights for her... 

We also stopped into Claire's because something caught Mommy's eye but she wouldn't show me.  I did find a really cool Cinderella toy that Mommy said I couldn't have because I'm too little for it.  But it was really fun had a pony in it and everything. 

It was lunch time so we went to a new place that came highly recommended by Daddy's friend Nick.  It's called Five Guys and was really really yummy.  I was relatively good while we stood in line but Mommy kept saying "excuse us" and "I'm sorry" and that seemed to make it ok with people that I was being crazy and bumping into them.  I ate MOST of my cheeseburger and all my fries.  Mommy is so happy about that.  Usually I don't touch my food when we go out but Mommy was happy that I ate.  I also got to meet one of Daddy's old friend's named John.  I was so polite I stuck my hand out to shake his hand.  Did you know I knew how to shake hands?  Mommy thought it was so cute!!  Mommy has been teaching me to say "how do you do, nice to meet you."  She remembers when Jessie used to do that when she was my age.  If you get a chance to stop into a place called Five Guys Burgers and fries, do it.  Especially if you want a nice, juicy burger and some fries.  Much better than the fast food places!!  Don't go over lunch though so it's not as busy. 

First off, I want to say Happy Groundhog's Day to everyone,  the little poophead saw his shadow. 6 more weeks of winter.  Blah!!!

I really wanted to post about something strange that happened at dinner tonight.  Daddy got up and ran out to get something special for us.  While he was making dinner, I sat on top of Vicky's kennel making beautiful music with a pot and the spoon.  Daddy was very mad at Mommy for giving it to me.  She'll post pics later. They are still on the camera. 

When it was all done cooking, it was bacon and blueberry pancakes!!!  Breakfast for dinner???  What???  So weird.  I loved it though.  Fresh blueberries were yummy and Mommy split her bacon with me.  Mommy must really love me because she covets bacon!!! 

They promised me an outing tomorrow.  I really really really wanted to go to the grocery store with Daddy but since I'm still in my pjs from yesterday they wouldn't let me go.  It was a very lazy weekend!

You can find all the rest of the pictures in the February 2009 folder.  I kept taking toys in there and opened and closed the door.  Mommy even took a video.  She'll upload it later.  Keep checking back for it.

When I got up this morning, we got dressed, scarfed down some toast and ran out the door.  Vicky was such a good girl and jumped right into the kennel.  YAY Vicky for being a good girl!!  We went to see Johnny Only again today.  We hung out with Mommy's friend Heather and her daughter's Nicole and Caroline.  Corinne was also there.  We really like going. 

Mommy said if I was a good girl, we'd stop and see Grandpa John and Grandma Lois after we went to the DMV.  Mommy said they really need to get their act together there.  Nobody can tell you the same thing.  The one lady said Mommy had to bring in her title to change the name on the registration.... so hours later when Mommy went back, the lady said she didn't need that to change the registration.  Mommy is so ready to go Postal on the DMV... whatever that means.  ANYWAYS....  I was a great girl so we stopped to see Grandma and Grandpa.  Grandpa has a new toy called a laser pointer and we played with that for a long time.  I kept "eating" it and when I picked up my shirt, I could see the "bug" in my belly!!!  Mommy said next time, she'll make a movie of it, now that was fun.  We followed Grandma to Laura's place because she had made me a new hat.  It's super cute.  I got to play with her puppy and push buttons on the elevator.  Mommy said she is really proud of me for being such a good girl.  So we stopped and had some lunch together.  I ate my whole lunch. 

When we got home, Daddy was already awake so I didn't have to worry about being quiet.  I went down for a nice long nap and Mommy ran out and did some errands.
