Daddy left yesterday and I was up half the night!  So after sleeping in longer than expected, Mommy got the last minute packing done.  Daddy wasn't going to be ready for us until after noon, so we ended up taking our time packing the car and heading out.  We ran into some rain and I napped for half the trip.  It wasn't a long drive really, an hour and a half isn't too bad.

Mommy parked the car in a huge field and packed me into the stroller.  Daddy met up with us with the wagon so we wouldn't have to carry the stuff Mommy brought.  I got to ride on a big bus and I didn't even have to sit in a car seat.  Mommy said not to get used to it.  I don't remember it from last year, Mommy said we rode that bus alot last year.  This year, we decided to camp right at the festival so we didn't have to worry about going back and forth.  It was awesome!

Once we got to the campsite, Mommy had to help Daddy raise the camper.  I was not happy, and no matter what anyone said to me, I was just cranky!

It was finally time to pack up the wagon and head out to listen to some music.  We walked around for a bit and then put up our chairs at the infield Stage.  It was a lot of fun.  I got to run around and meet new people.

Getting ready to leave
posted on 07/16/2008

Hello to all my loyal visitors!!!  We have been busy doing laundry and making lists and packing for our GrassRoots weekend!  It was so much fun last year, we are venturing out again this year.  Daddy left already with the camper and is sitting on the side of the road in line waiting for them to open the gates so we can get a good camp spot onsite.  This way we don't have to take the bus back and forth, we'll have everything we need right there waiting for us.  Mommy is still packing and doing laundry and I'm sleeping for the night.  She said she can't do anything when I'm around.  I don't know what she is talking about, we play all sorts of games and I'm always running around the apartment getting into trouble.  Mommy and I will be leaving late morning and picking up water and then driving up to meet Daddy.  We will be back late Sunday.  Mommy hopes to have a montage made of all the cool things I do by next week.  If anyone needs to get in touch with me or Mommy or Daddy, their cell phones work up there.  Everyone have a great weekend!!

Tried a new park

We planned a play date with the local mommies again today and got to meet TWO new mommies and three new kids!  The one lady has EIGHT KIDS!!  We can never complain about one kid and a dog again!!  The park has a really cool sand box that I didn't like at all.  I wouldn't touch it with my hands and Mommy, that crazy lady, took our shoes off and made me walk in it.  She buried my feet in it and I couldn't move.  Daddy showed up for a minute and I wouldn't even go over to him because I didn't like my feet in the sand.  We had some drinks and snacks and then got changed into my bathing suit.  At that point, I ran away and ran right into the carrousel.  Mommy didn't want to go, but I did.  She doesn't like them because they keep going and going and going.  I even got bored halfway through and pitched a fit because I couldn't get down.  After it finally stopped, we went into the pool area and I freaked out in the pool too.  It was only one foot deep so I could stand up in it, but I didn't realize it.  I wouldn't put my feet down, I had no problem sitting on Mommy's feet while she sat on the edge though.  It's ok though....  Maybe some day, I'll be ok with it.

Pool Party
posted on 07/12/2008

We got an invitation to a pool party at our friend Amy's brother's house.  They had some good food and lots of kids running around playing.  I was a very scared to be in the pool, Mommy made me stay in for awhile.  Then, something strange happened.  I saw my friend Nicholas with his feet in the pool and splashing and he was having fun.  So Mommy put my feet in the pool and then I was splashing too.  I then inched down and sat on Mommy's feet as they were in the pool and I was bouncing around and splashing and loving it.  Mommy jumped in and I was just a playing, swimming, splashing fool!!  After awhile though I got really cold, my lips actually started to turn blue!  I got out and then just ran around the pool, back and forth.  It was a lot of fun and I got to meet some really cool people.  Mommy put the pics up in the picture page for July.

Grammie and Grandpa Ron went on a ghost tour in Gettysburg and Mommy asked me if she thought they saw any ghosts.  My reply was "baaaa."  I thought she said "goats" not "ghosts."  I'm so silly!

The wedding is over, the vows were said.  Everyone had a great day. Thanks to everyone for the well wishes.  We wish everyone could have been there!  The weather was perfect, bright sun shine and low humidity and nice temperatures.  Sonyea was pretty clingy the whole day.  She did great in Mommy's arms though.  She danced with a lot of people and mingled ok for a little bit then as long as she was in Mommy's arms she was fine.  Mommy said OUCH!  We have a few pictures, but we'll give you a teaser...Photobucket

Once we get all the pictures in, we'll make a montage so it doesn't take up too much room on the site.  There will be a ton of them, we promise. You might have to take a day off from work to watch the whole thing.  Pictures from everyone, everywhere!

An old friend

After a frantic day of cleaning and head aches, Mommy left with me with Grammie and Grandpa Ron for awhile so she could go see Teresa and Elizabeth.  She met them at the airport and took them to their hotel and then they came back here to meet me.  Mommy worked with Teresa in Sioux Falls and met Elizabeth when she was just a few days old. Mommy used to babysit her and play with her and now she's 6!!  She used to call her Lizard.

Tonight, while watching Grandpa and Mommy blow bubbles, I thought I'd give it a shot.  I BLEW A BUBBLE ALL BY MYSELF!!!!!  I was so proud and Mommy was so happy.  YAY!  Then as I was hanging with Grandpa, he spilled the bubbles all down my leg and in between his legs.  He's a silly guy.  Good thing we keep bubbles all over the house.

I was really really tired and just wanted to go to bed but we had to have dinner which Mommy admits was pretty late, even for us.  We hung out for awhile and then ran around outside in my diaper.  That was fun, Mommy said not to get used to it though. Once I started falling down a lot, I came in and had a bath.  Gave everyone kisses and then off to bed.  Mommy said it'll be another busy day tomorrow.  On the agenda, errands for the wedding and the zoo and bowling!!!
