Farm tour
posted on 07/01/2008

Today, our friend Ashley had a birthday party for her son Andrew who turned ONE year old today.  They live on a milk farm and have lots of cows!!  We had so much fun checking out the babies and the mom-to-be's and the big girls.  I ran around moo-ing the whole time.  I was a complete spazz checking out the babies.  Mommy felt so bad because they were all afraid of me.  I running around like a crazy girl moo-ing!  I met a new friend Seleen and had fun with a bunch of old friends.  We hope to be able to go check out the farm again sometime soon.  It was too cloudy and cool and a little bit rainy so we couldn't go swimming.  We also had yummy pizza and cupcakes and sang happy birthday.  What a great playdate!  Don't forget to check out the pictures for some of the fun.

Busy weekend
posted on 06/29/2008

The start of a busy weekend took us to Great Grandma Kay's house on Saturday for a Knapp family picnic.  We got to see alot of our family and we were sad that alot didn't make it either.  It was really great to see everyone again.

Daddy took me and Mommy along with Grandpa John down to the creek behind the house.  We had never been down there before and it was really cool.  Mommy took my shoes off so I could walk in the water.  I had to have daddy's help though because it was VERY slippery.  It was really cool.  I got to see a real, live wild toad too.  Mommy picked it up so I could see it close up and it peed on her!  She wouldn't let me touch it though.  Maybe when I get older.  I also saw a bunch of fish too.  We played on the swing set and ate lots of great food.  We wanted to hang out longer, but I got really, really cranky because my nap was so short in the morning.

Sunday, we went up to Dorchester Park for the Southern Tier Mommies family picnic.  We got to see alot of our friends there!  We even got to meet a few new people.  I mostly walked around and checked everyone out.  We ate some more great food too.  Everyone brought something to share and the brownies were awesome!!  Mommy didn't get very many pictures because she was too busy talking with her friends.  Towards the end, I checked out the slide and learned how to climb the ladder by myself and go down the slide all by myself.  Mommy was helping me until Daddy told her to stop and then whoosh, down I went all by myself.  What fun!!  I got really sad when we had to leave, but I really needed to take a nap.  Mommy isn't happy though because I slept the 20 minutes home and then was up the rest of the day/night.  I bet bedtime is late tonight too.  Boy will that make Mommy very unhappy.  She has been trying to watch a movie that I won't let her watch.

This coming week will be very busy as well.  Mommy has phone calls to make and errands to run on Monday, Tuesday we are going to tour a real live farm, Wednesday is a playdate and one of Mommy's old friends is coming in for the wedding along with Grammie and Grandpa Ron, Thursday is getting all the details done and Friday is wedding day!!!  It will be tons of fun!!  Mommy will try to update the page if she has a few minutes each day.

The wedding is fast approaching, Mommy is starting to freak out and I'm just going about my normal everyday routine.  Whatever that is.  My sleep schedules are all thrown off and I'm sleeping a lot.  Mommy wants to switch me to one nap a day, but it really isn't working out.  By 5pm I'm ready for another nap and that's too late Mommy says to take a nap when bedtime is 8pm!  We'll figure something out eventually!

Corn on the cob
posted on 06/25/2008

Since it was such a great hit in Philadelphia, Mommy decided to buy some corn on the cob for our dinner tonight.  I ate it all up!!  Mommy cut my own cob so I didn't have to share.  I ate it like a pro, but then I decided I didn't want it anymore.  Mommy cut the kernels off the cob and I ate them all up. I also ate 2 big pieces of homemade buffalo style chicken pizza.  YUMMY!!  It was Anchor Bar hot sauce too.  It wasn't so hot.  Mommy didn't put the jalapenos on my slices though.  She said they weren't that spicy either, but Daddy was sweating.  FUNNY!!

Another cookout
posted on 06/21/2008

Today, Grammie and Grandpa Ron came with us to the Serfass' for a cookout.  I was really surprised to see Great Grandma Kay and Roger there, also Grandpa John and Lois were there!!  Uncle Johnny came, and even our friend's Yvonne and Brian and the kids came.  We had a great time eating great foods and jumping on the trampoline.  I really didn't care for it much, so I went to hang out with Grammie.  We swung on the tree swing.  That I like.  We tried to stay for a bonfire, but I was too cranky and that made Mommy cranky so we left.

Thanks to Elisa and  Brian for the great party!!

A few days in Philly
posted on 06/20/2008

Last Thursday, we packed up the car and drove to Philadelphia, PA.  It's always fun to get away for a few days.  We finally found our friend's house, you may have heard of them before.  Scott, Maria and Andrew!!  love7  We packed up right away and walked a few blocks to a yummy little place for some lunch.  Andrew ate my pizza because I didn't want any.  I had a few french fries.  We walked over to the park which is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THEIR HOUSE!!!!  dance  I wish I had a playground right across the street.  We played on the slide and climbed some stairs, swung on the swings.  I chased around some pigeons but Mommy yelled at me.  Then the strangest thing happened, Mommy and Daddy left!!!  nnf_yikes  They left me all alone with them.  I had a good time though.  We played with all Andrew's toys and then we had some dinner and I ate corn on the cob.  Mommy said she has those pictures, but they are on Daddy's phone so we'll get them uploaded later, he's at work.  After dinner, we walked over for some gelato.  I've read all about them eating it and I've wanted to try it too.  I finally got my chance.  We shared some yummy stuff!!!  I was pretty upset when it was bedtime though.  I was really tired because I took a very short nap and I was really missing Mommy and Daddy.  Once I finally fell asleep, I slept through the night.  Maria and Scott were happy to see that!  They said I'm LOUD!!!  I should be a great singer because I have a loud set of lungs.  sing   When I got up in the morning, there was still no sign of Mommy or Daddy and I was pretty confused.  We played for a little bit, had some milk and next thing I knew, MOMMY AND DADDY CAME BACK!!!  We had some breakfast, I changed into one of Andrew's outfits because Mommy didn't pack my bag very well and off we went to the Philadelphia Zoo!!  What a great place!!  It's very big, lots of people, and a lot of animals that Mommy has never seen before.  She was pretty surprised.  It's a great zoo and if you get a chance to go, GO!  We loved it.  Check out the video page for the montage.  Mommy will upload a few of the pictures off Daddy's phone later.  So don't forget to check back.

After the zoo, we travelled a little bit to a place called Tony Luke's for cheesesteaks with Wiz.  Yup, that's how you order it.  They put cheese wiz on their steaks.  I was a weenie and didn't try it though.  I had french fries.  Mommy said I have to get back on track and start eating good food again.  I don't know what she's talking about.  Cheerios and french fries and chips ARE good foods.

The ride home was very sad for Mommy.  She really likes hanging out with her friend, Maria and can't wait until we can see them again!  I also didn't nap on the ride home like they thought I would.

When Mommy and Daddy left, they went to go see Pearl Jam in New Jersey.  I'm glad I didn't go because they got back to the hotel very, very late and I wouldn't have had any fun there.  Thank you to our friends for letting us visit and for letting me spend the night!  We hope one day to return the favor!!

Working on the camper
posted on 06/12/2008

We went to work on the camper today.  I got to swing on the swing and play with Raven and run around.  I still don't understand why Mommy won't let me play in the road.  It's easier to walk on than the grass.  Come on Mommy, just for a little bit??  I really had a temper because of it.

The camper is pretty cool.  Daddy tore out the carpet and the toilet.  Mommy wanted to keep the toilet, but because it doesn't work without electricity or water, it'd be useless for GrassRoots so they tore it out.  Mommy hopes to put storage there.  It really does have a lot of storage though.  It's going to be fun camping when it's done!!

Walking
posted on 06/11/2008

Mommy got sick of my crabbiness tonight so we packed up the baby doll and the stroller and went to play outside.  I really get side tracked with all the cars and motorcycles on our busy street.  As I was walking the baby doll in her stroller I had a hard time keeping it in a straight line.  Check out the pictures, I ran into the fence a time or two.  All I really want to do is run in the street but Mommy won't let me.  We had to take a break for dinner and I just wasn't having that.  I pitched the biggest fit because daddy put me in my chair and so I threw my food on the floor.  I didn't want to sit in the chair, so I wasn't going to eat!!!  Mommy scarfed her food down so we could go back outside.  We stayed out there until 8:30!!!  Mommy wanted me to take a bath, but I just wasn't interested.  So I pitched another fit while daddy changed my diaper and my clothes.  I went to bed right after that.

While we were on our walk, I got to hold the leash and walk Vicky for the first time.  Vicky is such a good dog.  She followed me along (as long as Mommy was right there) wherever I went!  I ran into a family at the church down the road and told them all about it.  They commented on my beautiful eyes (like always, we never get tired of hearing it) and what a great story I had to tell.  I refuse to talk to Mommy's friends but I have no problem telling the complete strangers all about my fun days.  The picture of me walking Vicky is on Daddy's phone.  We'll get that up as soon as possible.

I killed my first animal today...  Mommy was not happy with me!  There was a fly hopping along the sidewalk and so I decided to check it out.  I'm a kid afterall, that's what I do.  He hopped away and I tried to point at him, but did it really hard.  I smooshed him fast and hard.  Then a little bit later, I smooshed an ant.  Mommy said because they are small doesn't mean they insignificant, she said I have respect the animals around here (but I love the birds and puppies everwhere) because they have just as much right to be here as I do.  Mommy said she'll continue to teach me that lesson for a long time.
