Update from Buffalo

Quick update from Buffalo... we are having a great time. Sonyea is acting much better than she did the last visit. She napped in the car on the way here, she played great with Grammie and is loving being outside. She is running up and down the street, we are having issues with trying to keep her OUT of the street though. That's Grandpa's job! We have some awesome pictures and we'll upload those when we get home. The concert was awesome, the Buffalo Zoo was a great time. Sonyea showed off all her animal noises and is sleeping better here.

Happy Memorial Day

Sorry about the lack of updates lately. Things have been pretty uneventful around here. We've both had lack of sleep. We believe it's due to the molars. One is completely out and another is ready to break through any second now. Have no idea what's going on the top though, she won't let us anywhere near those.
Today we had our 15 month Doctor's appointment. It went well. She's 29 pounds 10 ounces and 34 inches tall. Off the charts still but still at the same proportion she has since she was 9 months old. She knows a ton of words even though she doesn't say them and she can follow simple commands. Her newest one is when she's done with a bowl or dish or cup or whatever she'll go and put it into the sink for us. She'll run over and give you kisses if you ask and she can jump and dance... all the fun stuff. Wait until you hear all the animal noises she can make. She knows the duck, horse, dog, tiger, cat, cow, rhino, sheep... the list is growing. I have a bunch of videos to upload and some pics too. I'll get to them next week. We are getting ready to travel to Buffalo again for a concert. We'll be seeing Scythian Friday night. Really looking forward to that. We haven't seen them since the Irish Fest last summer. We really hope this trip is better than the last few. If she transitions well, we'll stay through Monday for the parade and holiday. We got our membership to the zoo in the mail the other day so we'll be hitting the Buffalo Zoo on Saturday. The new rainforest isn't opening until July but really looking forward to that. We are very excited to have the membership and can go to a lot of zoos in the area.
Quick reminder, for those who have yet to send in their postcards, please do so as soon as possible. We have to get the final head count to the caterer next week. I don't want to make a zillion phone calls. You know who you are!!

Garage sales galore!

Today, we went to the Tioga Terrace Neighborhood sale. It was cool. We ran into our friend Meghan and Amy's fiance Dave. We probably would have ran into more friends if we had stayed longer but Mommy and Daddy got what they were looking for so we decided to leave. We got a futon for the spare room so I can have a playroom. Then when Grammie and Grandpa come to visit they can use it and play with all my toys. Mommy is excited about possibly getting some of her living room back. I also got a new crib mat. Mommy has been wanting to buy one for a long time. I was basically sleeping on plastic that's why we used the fleece sheet so much. Now, I can lay on my regular sheets and still be nice and comfy. Thanks Mommy. She also bought me a really cute summer dress. It's red and white with cherries all over it. Mommy thinks we'll have to resew the bow back on. It's attached to a button? How strange is that? It looks pretty silly. It's all clean, so we'll wear it on the next nice day and take pics.
Since Mommy rearranged and cleaned the living room really good today, I can see out the windows without having to climb on the couch. Mommy is excited about that, but nervous I'll break the screens. She said I have to start listening better. Right now I'm being naughty and doing everything I'm not supposed to. I'll look at things and smile and look at Mommy and then touch them even though she said I couldn't. I'm a snot like that. I even found my giraffe chair. I was afraid of it for a long time, but now that I can climb by myself, I'm not afraid of anything. I climbed up in that chair a lot today and Mommy took a bunch of pics. Check them out!
Mommy is really feeling the spring cleaning crunch, so she's been hard at work. It is really difficult with me around though. I'm into everything and am acting so naughty sometimes Mommy can't get anything done. I went with Daddy to the grocery store today and Mommy hammered out most of the livingroom. The other day it took her many hours to get the two bathrooms done because I was always right there. Mommy had to wait until today to get the stairs vaccumed because I just wanted to climb up and down and Mommy didn't want me to fall.
I JUST PEED ON THE POTTY AGAIN TONIGHT!!! I'm such a big girl!!!!

Cute story

Mommy decided to vaccum this morning and I didn't want to help this time around. Usually, I'll sit in Mommy's arms and watch but I didn't want to today. So I ran into my room and closed the door and climbed up in the rocking chair. Once Mommy was done she came looking for me and I was sitting there rocking and sitting nice and cute and I waved.

We had a fun morning so far. Mommy is feeling a little bit better but we still won't be able to enjoy the nice weather yet. There will be more nice weather again soon enough.
We were coloring and we were playing with stickers and then I got restless. I climbed up on the couch and started harrassing Vicky.
 
Then because I grabbed her hair and wouldn't let go she growled at me. That is always mommy's cue to separate us. Before she could do so, Vicky bit me on the face. Mommy freaked out, this was my reaction...
All smiles!!!! If you look close on the right side of my face you can see the red marks from Vicky's teeth. Mommy was not happy with me for pushing Vicky so far, but even more upset that Vicky resorted to biting. We are all glad that it wasn't anything serious. We think that it was just a warning and for all of us. Don't let me push her so hard next time!!

Peed on the potty

Lately, I've been peeing on the carpet when mommy lets me run naked. I even had a very wet diaper after my bath on Sunday. So mommy decided that Monday after bath I was going to sit on the potty. Mommy got out my toilet ring and daddy sat me up there and I peed. I came running out all proud of myself!! I'm such a big girl now! Mommy said it's a huge start!!

Under the weather

Mommy and I are not feeling very well. Last night I was up a few times in my crib and finally mommy just grabbed me and we went into the spare room. We woke up for the day at 7:30am. Mommy was not happy about that. We both have sore throats and a bit of runny noses. I am not napping very well either today because of it. Mommy took a 3 hour nap this morning. Thanks Daddy for letting her. It made her feel much better. I'm working on my 3rd nap of the day. Mommy said it was too late in the day to take a nap, but I'm so whiney and miserable so she put me down for a bit. She really hopes that I sleep better tonight. Otherwise, Mommy is going to spend Mother's Day in BED!
We hope all the mommies have a great Mother's Day. Everyone needs to take the day off, make all the daddies do all the work!!!
