Time to Give Thanks!

A cold day in Buffalo

A really cold day it turned out to be. It was very, very windy again today. We went to visit Great Grandpa Jacobs. Where he lives now has a really, really cool fish tank. Mommy said she's still working on getting me one. I'm looking forward to having my own fish tank at home. I got to crawl around and make a bunch of people smile. I was so tired though that I cried when Mommy put me on Grandpa Jacobs lap. After a short visit we left so Mommy and Daddy could celebrate their Valentine's day. I stayed with Grammie and Grandpa Ron for the rest of the day. They said I had fun. Grammie even gave me a bath. I ended up being so tired, I finally went to sleep in the crib and slept there allllll night long!! Mommy said she was very proud of me and very happy that I slept in the crib because she needed a good night's sleep just like I needed it really bad. We are both getting over our colds and Daddy isn't feeling good now either.

Party in Buffalo

today we got up bright and early and loaded the car for my birthday party in Buffalo. The weather was really windy and poopy, but we made it just in time to play. We hung out at Grammie's house and when Beth and Jess and Kayla came over we had some yummy dinner. I haven't eaten that much food in over a week! Yummy, I love pasta!! Then after cleaning up we opened presents. I got a really cool boat with animals in it. I love the baby elephant. I like to put it next to the big elephant from the train. Actually, I like to mix and match the animals now. Mommy said I'm starting to get "too dang smart!" I also got a really neat puppy that sings songs and tells me where his body parts are. Kayla got this really pretty shirt and shirt combo. Mommy said I can wear it this weekend for the party if it's not too big just yet. Grammie also got me some really cool clothes too.

I started to get really cranky because I didn't take a nap except for a short one on the car ride here. We decided to eat some cake. I was a little weirded out by the hat and fire they put in front of me. Mommy lit the candle and sang really fast. She was afraid I was going to grab the fire so they sang really fast I got to dig in. I was really dainty at first with the frosting and yummy cake, but then I just dug right in. The cake was really cute, Mommy decorated it with her own two hands. She was a little disappointed with how it turned out, but I think she's crazy. It was perfect!!! We also had some ice cream. Yummy! I didn't know birthday's were all about food and fun. I can do this all the time!

She's feeling better. Seems to be pulling on her ears a bit more though. We are continuing the amoxi and tylenol and ibuprofin. Her spirits are high and her activity level is much better than mine. I am not handling this cold as well as she is. My ears are full, my nose won't stop running and I'm exhausted. Makes for a difficult time being a good mommy. I know she'll forgive me this time.

Oh no!

Her little cold has turned itself into a double ear infection. Poor baby is so tired all the time. Her poor nose is running so bad it's raw. We went to the Doctor because she was feeling so crappy.

Feeling even worse....

Happy Birthday Grammie Marlene!!!!!

I am definitely not feeling very good. I'm not eating, I'm not drinking much either. Mommy is thinking of getting me some pedialite tomorrow if I don't up my intakes. I'm not running a fever, but my nose is running really, really bad. I'm also coughing and sneezing a lot too. I was up really early this morning crying. Mommy finally got me calmed down by rocking me in her chair and then we slept in Mommy's bed for a short while. I did nap really good today though. This coughing keeps waking me up too. Mommy feels really bad for me because I keep whining after I cough. We didn't go visit Aunt Leslie tonight because of the weather and my cold. We may have to postpone tomorrow too. We shall see.

Not feeling so hot.....

As a matter of fact, I'm feeling pretty sloppy. Mommy keeps having to wipe my nose and I keep sneezing and coughing up nasties. Mommy is afraid it's a cold... I also refuse to nap this afternoon. <blah>

Another playdate

Our new friends Cara, Sam and Moriba came over to play today. Sam is just a few days younger than me. Moriba is 3 years old. She was fun to play with, I handed her balls and watched her play catch with mommy. Mommy said we are going to hook up with them again. Maybe Sam can teach me how to walk since he's a pro at walking all over the place. It was really weird for me to have other kids playing with my stuff. Nathan doesn't count because I know him. Mommy said I'll become friends with them after a few more visits.

Aunt Leslie

Mommy went out with her friends tonight and I got to go play with Aunt Leslie, Uncle Gary and Elizabeth. Uncle Gary said I cried 75% of the time. That made mommy pretty sad, but she really enjoyed her night out. She said it's good for us to be apart some times. I guess it wasn't too bad because they want us to come back next week. It'll be more fun because I'll know what to expect. We are very thankful that they will play with me. And yes, my favorite toys are the cell phones!! Maybe next week I'll bring my own, although it's not as fun because mine doesn't beep or light up.
