When I woke up this morning, Mommy said Happy Thanksgiving.  We watched the parade and had cinnamin rolls for breakfast.  Mommy said we couldn't eat a lot of breakfast because we were having a huge lunch/dinner.  She wasn't kidding.  We were late getting to Grandma Patty's because I took a late nap.  Mommy and Daddy had to wake me up so we could go eat with family.  Uncle Johnny was there, Grandpa Skully, a friend named Jonathan stopped in for a minute and one of Grandma's neighbor friends.  Everything smelled so good.  I warmed up by putting on a bib and playing with toys.  We got all set in my high chair (we love that thing!) and started eating.  I ate a lot of mashed potatoes, mashed rudebagas, turkey, rolls, cranberry sauce, green beans and chocolate pie!!!  I ate a ton of everything.  Mommy said she's never seen me eat so much in one sitting.  Mommy is very excited that she didn't have make a baby mush.  I can chew things now and I hardly choke on stuff anymore.  Mommy knew I just needed some practice.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!

It's time for Thanks!  Here's a few things we are thankful for!!!  In no particular order.

• That Jimmy works and makes enough money for me to stay home and raise Sonyea. 
• That my mom (Grandma Marlene) has taken on the stress and management of Grandpa Jacobs.  If it weren't for her, nobody would be helping him out.
• That we have a great roof over our head and much good food on our table every day.
• That I have great friends!  They may live all around the world and not close enough to hug, but they are my friends and I love them all!  February Babies ROCK!!

Happy 9 Months Sonyea!!!

It snowed last night.  We got all bundled up and played. We built our first snowman.  She didn't know what to make of it all!!  We made a montage, it's on the front page for now.  Or you can see it on the movie's page.  Saves room that way! 

Oh...and not to jinx anything, but she's been napping for over an hour now!!!  YAY!!!

I will NOT take a nap. There is nothing you can do about it.  You can lay me in my crib and I'll just cry big ol' tears!  You can put me in my swing, but I'll cry even harder.  You can give  me all the teething products in the world and I will not take a nap!  You can't make me.  Mommy said something about wanting to "beat me senseless."  She's been telling all her friends to do that to their kids forever, and nobody would do it.  Now Mommy sees why.  It won't do any good. 

At the moment, I'm behaving myself.  I'm being cute and playing and letting Mommy have a few minutes. I refuse to let her shower though.  That's just not right.  Why should Mommy have some peace and get to take a nice, steaming, hot shower?  All she wants me to do is sleep.  I don't know what she's talking about.  I was up at 5:30am today, isn't that enough sleep overnight?  Pshaw! 

We are sorry we haven't updated things around here lately.  Mommy is really busy with me.  I just won't nap like I used to.  We don't know if it's because I don't need as much sleep during the day, or if it's teething, or if something else is wrong.  I have been sleeping much better overnights lately. Mommy is afraid to jinx things though. 

I haven't been eating very well either.  Mommy thinks I'm just not liking things pureed anymore.  Yesterday, we went out and bought some big girl snacks.  Some baby fruit rolls and string cheese.  I had some string cheese this morning for breakfast because I didn't like the cereal mommy made me.  She made regular cereal but put chunks of pineapple in it.  I had some of it and I was done.  Mommy has no idea why I was done.  But the string cheese was really good.  I ate most of it.  Mommy was pinching off pieces for me.  I still can't get the food from my hand to mouth open mouth, so mommy helps me with it.  While we were at Wal-Mart last night, I ate an entire baby fruit treat.  Yummy!!  I kept biting mommy.  That's what she gets for putting the food in my mouth, but I like when she does that.  I keep missing. 

We had KFC for lunch yesterday, I did so good eating bites of chicken and baked beans.  I had some mashed potatoes and gravy, but I wasn't really a big fan of it.  Mommy doesn't know why, something about it being the best part of the dinner!  I am still having formula bottles which is good, because it relaxes me. 

I have started cruising everywhere.  If I can hold on to it, I can walk along it.  It's so much fun, but when I have to go somewhere it's easier to crawl.  I just drop down to my knees and off I go.  Mommy got really frustrated with me because I was pulling all of the recycles out of the box.  She moved it into the hallway, said something about "that'll teach you."  She's strange.  And my newest project is to get into that big white thing with the green thing inside.  There's lots of stuff inside.  I tipped it over once and mommy freaked out on me.  Telling me yucky!  I didn't see anything yucky.  Just some banana peels, some pineapple chunks, papers, a diaper.  Really, what's so yucky about all that??  Esh, sometimes I get so confused with my mommy!  She's on a mission to find a garbage can with a lid so next time I knock it over, nothing will spill out and make more work for mommy.  She doesn't like that.  Said something about having enough work to do around here. 

We will try to update things better around here.  I will try to nap better too so mommy has more "her" time, but I doubt that will happen. 

We picked up our pictures from Sears today!  They turned out so good!
