Happy Birthday Grandma!
posted on 09/16/2009

Happy Birthday Grandma Patty!!!  I wouldn't sing to her while she was listening but Mommy got it on video.  She was really nice and gave me one of her birthday balloons though.  Thanks Grandma!!

We stopped into the Union to wish her a happy birthday and got to some friends and family.  I was being anti-social though.

We went with Daddy to a lead for work and instead of us sitting in the car waiting for him, he dropped us off at the school with a really cool playground.  Daddy said it was the same when he was a kid.  There were all kinds of places to run and hide in.  I kept climbing up to go down the slide because Mommy and Zia were going down too. Zia was in the front carrier having fun with us.  Too bad that park is in Newark Valley.  It's really a fun place to play and I didn't want to leave.

Busy Day
posted on 09/15/2009

I really overslept today.  Mommy had to wake me up at 10:15am!!  We were supposed to have a playdate at 10:30!  Mommy called Miss Jess and told her we were going to be late.

Daddy got up with Zia this morning, so Mommy got to sleep in a little bit too.  Another reason why we were so late.  Daddy made us pancakes and then we got dressed.

Drove out to Miss Jess's house to play with Myles and Marshall Baby.  That's what I like to call him.  We had a lot of fun running around and making a mess.  I had a really yummy Halloween cookie that was chocolate with orange frosting and sprinkles.  HMMMM!!

It was time to go when Myles was really acting tired.  He had his binkie and his blankie.

I had some quick lunch and hit the pillow myself.  Took a nice long nap and then we headed out to Sonic for a quick dinner.  We didn't eat in the car this time though because we had to be somewhere at 6pm.

Mommy watched Alex and Alyssa for a little bit while their Mommy and Daddy went out to Alex's school.  We had a lot of fun there too.  We played with all kinds of toys and I played with their dog Taylor.  We had the most fun making a cake.  We added "3 cups" (a quote from Sleeping Beauty) and ate lots of cake.

Then a quick bath, WonderPets and bedtime.  Except, something is wrong and I'm doing a lot of crying.  MommY, Come Get me!

Gymnastics
posted on 09/12/2009

Today was our first day of Mommy and Me Gymnastics.  I really got upset when we were leaving the house because I wanted Zia to come with us.  I didn't want her to stay home with Daddy.  When we were getting out of the car, I didn't want to go into the gym because I just didn't want to.  We got there the same time as Miss Cara and Sam and I was ok with going inside as long as Sam was with us.  I got to run around and play with Sam for a little bit.  Then Miss Abbi and Shayna got there and she ran around with us too.

Mommy showed me and Sam the big girls who were doing all kinds of flips and running around and swinging from the bars.  I was a little nervous but really didn't think they were going to make us do that!

I was ok while getting my socks and sneakers off but then a strange guy named "Coach" came over and told us to go sit on a piece of carpet.  They had some squares of carpet set up in a circle for all of us to sit on.  I didn't want to but when I saw that Mommy was doing it, I figured what the heck, I can too.

We stretched out our legs a little bit and did some rolling around to "warm up."  I don't get that, it was already pretty hot in the gym and we didn't even start yet.

The first thing we did was pick out a hula hoop.  I got a pink one of course.  Coach told Mommy to roll it and make me get it.  I thought that was a really cool game.  I was a running fool and even got other people's hoops for them.  I really liked it when the hoop would go in a circle, I laughed and ran in a circle after it.  Mommy said the smile on my face was just precious.

Then we went off and did some cool things on our own.  I got to walk the balance beams, there were a few of them.  I even did a "maze," where you climb up and walk a beam, run around the circle, slide down a slide, and do a summersault down the hill.

Sam and I got to jump on the trampoline.  I laughed when Coach Ashley told me to fall on my bottom, it's called a "C" drop.  I didn't get that you are supposed to fall on your bottom and then stand up again.  I had no problems just falling.

I got to run the "track" too.  It's a cool, really long trampoline.  When you get to the end, you do a summersault then jump off onto the mats, throw your hands in the air and say TA-DA!

Mathieu showed me how to jump into the "pit."  I thought it was really funny but it was really hard to get out.

I had a major fit when we tried to leave.  I finally calmed down and put my socks and shoes back on and had a snack and some water.  We are looking forward to next weeks too.

Playdate with Aiden
posted on 09/10/2009

Miss Danita had a baby last month and we went over to see her today.  Her name is Madelyn.  She slept most of the time we were there but we got to see her pretty eyes right before we left.  She woke up to have a bottle and Zia got to play with her for a minute.

I spent most of my time running around the house watching Aiden throw his toys around.  I tried to get him to do what I wanted but he's a boy and will do what ever he wants.

He was playing with Zia and of course I wanted to lay down too.  Mommy tried to get me on the other side of Zia but I was over here.

Johnny Only
posted on 09/09/2009

Grammie and Grandpa left late Monday afternoon.  We had a good visit and we have more photos to upload from the weekend.  Don't forget to check those out.

Today is Daddy's Birthday. 9/9/9!!  Happy Birthday Daddy!

Mommy and Zia woke me up early and I really fought to get dressed.  Mommy decided we didn't have to go if I didn't want to but then I found my very favorite pretty was clean and I was psyched to get dressed and head out the door.

We met up with Melissa and Braedon, Julie and Alexis, and Cookie and Michelina.  Johnny was all set up for a luau!  Johnny and the Only girls were wearing grass skirts and leis.  I got a few leis too.  Even Zia got one.  We did the limbo under limbo sticks, Mommy went with me too.  Zia sat with Cookie so she wanted to help me out.  Then we did follow the leader through hula hoops.  The coolest part was Ring around the Rosie.  We all danced in a circle and fell down every time.  I was really singing too.  I was between Julie and Alexis.  I really had a good time.  You should have seen me singing Highland Park.  I'm really good at it now.  Then of course, we ended with the bubbles song.

After naptime Zia and Mommy and I played in my room.  I found a new hiding spot...  under my crib.  I kept trying to hide from Daddy but I wouldn't stay under there very long and of course, I couldn't stop giggling.  Zia was playing with the stage (as usual, she loves to look at herself) and I found some long lost animals under my crib.  I love playing up there.

Mommy took me down the gym to sign up for gymnastics too.  She showed me what the girls (and boys) were doing.  They were running and jumping and walking on a balance beam.  Miss Julie is going to teach the class and it's a "Mommy and Me" class so I don't have to do anything without my Mommy.  Zia is going to stay with Daddy too so it'll just be me and Mommy.  I'm really looking forward to it.  We can't afford the class, but we need to do something a little bit structured.  Check back here Saturday to see how the first class went.

Grandma and Grandpa Knapp came over tonight to give Daddy his birthday present.  I really got crazy when they got here.  You should have seen me running and yelling and just being crazy.  I was pretty embarrassed because I had to do a time out for hitting mommy in the face.  I just get carried away sometimes and I forget to be nice.  Mommy said I'll learn eventually.

I've learned the Happy Birthday song.  I'm really good at it!  We sang Happy Birthday to Daddy on Sunday when everyone was here and then I sang Happy Birthday to Miss Maria on Monday and I'm starting to practice so I can call Grandma Patty next week.

Grammie and Grandpa's visit
posted on 09/06/2009

We are having a good long weekend so far!  Yesterday, we played all day long.  I spent most of the day outside running around with friends and my Grandparents.  Mommy made me come inside because the mosquitoes were biting.  I got a bunch of bites all over my body.  Mommy's not really happy about that.  We need to find a better bug spray that we can use on me.  The one she has is the one she used when she was zookeeper.  It's full of chemicals and doesn't smell very nice.

Today, we got up and just hung around the house and played some more.  Right around naptime, Uncle Keith, Aunt Alyssa and Cousin Jakey showed up.  I didn't have a nap at all before we went to the zoo and it kind of backfired near the top of the zoo.  I got really cranky and didn't want to listen to anybody.  I rode on Mommy's shoulders for awhile.  Even Zia was pretty tired at that point because she wouldn't sleep in her carseat either.  We both took naps in the car on the way home.  I got a short nap when Daddy carried me upstairs.  They woke me up after less than an hour so we could eat birthday cake.  I sang Happy Birthday to Daddy and we ate his football shaped cake that I helped Mommy make.

I ran around with Jakey and Uncle Keith all night long after dinner.  We did laps around the house.  That's our thing.  One of these days Jakey will actually play with me.  We shall see.  We got too many photos to put up here so check out the photo section for September 2009 for all the fun from this long weekend.

Thanks to Keith, Alyssa and Jacob for coming to visit and thanks Keith for all the photos.

Cereal
posted on 09/04/2009

I got to feed Zia some cereal today!!  I was really excited but got jealous because I wanted some.

Photobucket

Mommy told me to go ahead and try it.  Yuck, it wasn't very good.  Mommy and Daddy both laughed at the funny face I made after trying it.  I don't know why Zia enjoyed it so much.

Mommy put up the pictures on Zia's journal page.  She did really good!
