Hi from Buffalo

Hi everyone!! We are having a great time in Buffalo. Mommy finished the Harry Potter book today. What a great book!!! I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I won't make any other comments but that it was such a great read. Mommy will be reading it to Sonyea once she's old enough to understand the imagination of the series.
Sonyea has been having a hard time napping because so much is going on around her and she's in a new place. She's sleeping overnight though so at least she's getting her rest.
Grandma Marlene took Sonyea to visit her friend Cindy today. She is a pediatric nurse and they put Sonyea on the scale.......... she's a whooping 19 pounds 12 ounces!!! Can you believe that? Such a happy healthy baby we have.

We are getting ready to go camping. Mommy is really nervous, Daddy is really excited and Sonyea has no idea what is in store for the next few days. We are sure everything will go smoothly, but fear of the unknown is a crazy deal.
Our friend Gracie had surgery on her cleft palate yesterday. She did great! She looks good too. What a difference. The doctors did a great job and we are really happy that everything went well. She was beautiful before, and even more so now!

Only a couple more days to go before Grass Roots and Harry Potter!! We will be camping out from Thursday to Sunday. We are a little nervous, but we'll manage just fine.
Mommy is really excited to read the last Harry Potter book. She hopes to get it as soon as possible. She won't be reading it to Sonyea just thought because she hasn't heard any of the other books. She'll read them in due time and when she's old enough to understand.
Sonyea spent all day Saturday with Grandma Marlene and Grandpa Ron. They went to a craft fair and bought the cutest poncho. Sonyea will get to wear it this weekend because the nights are supposed to be pretty chilly. Will get pics up when we get home. Probably won't be until next week though because we have to travel to Buffalo to pick up Vicky. She is spending the week there because we don't have a dog sitter for her and kenneling her is out of the question.
Please, don't forget to sign the guestbook and feel free to leave comments on the journal areas. Hi to everyone we haven't talked to in awhile.

I'm sorry there hasn't been many updates lately. We haven't had much going on and this past weekend Grandpa Ron and Grandma Marlene came to visit. (Check out the July photos for the fun we had).
Sonyea had prunes the other day. She loved them but mommy didn't like the poop that came out the next morning. YUCKY! On another food related note, she had some ice cream again Sunday night. She was diving for the cup for more! She really liked the whipped cream too. I know BAD MOMMY!!
We also went fishing at Uncle Dean's ponds again. Daddy caught some fish, Grandpa Ron "snagged" a fish on the side, and Mommy was skunked again. She had some nibbles though. Last weeks haul of 9 fish is now a dream.
We had lots of fun showing off the pavilion where Mommy and Daddy want to have the wedding at State Park. Both Grandma and Grandpa really like it and are cool with the ideas. We are looking forward to planning it.
Sonyea has been very good for the visits. Being a total ham as usual. She still has her cranky times. Yesterday, she was SCREAMING, we didn't know why. After about 10 minutes (which seemed like an hour) she burped and was fine. all that for a stupid gas bubble. Poor baby!

We saw the best fireworks show tonight. It was at Highland Park in Endicott. Man, it was the best!! We are going there every year for the 4th. Next year when Mommy and Daddy get married, we are going to be sure all the guests go with us from the wedding to that park for fireworks! Maybe we'll have to rent a bus.
They were so so loud, and we were sitting so close, there were parts of them that were hitting the ground in the parking lot that we were sitting next to. The finale fireworks were shot from just behind the trees where we were sitting. It was amazing!! And believe it or not, Miss Sonyea fell asleep a time or two. She was actually sleeping through some of the loudest parts. She was watching for a little while. She was so tired.
