HERE'S A CRY FOR HELP!!!!

I won't take a bath anymore because I'm afraid of getting my hair washed.  Any and all suggestions are welcome.  Here's what we've tried already::

  • laying down on the kitchen counter forward and backward
  • laying down in the tub
  • a visor over my eyes
  • a washcloth over my eyes
  • having me dump water
  • a squirt bottle
  • a washcloth to wash/rinse
  • a specially made cup with a soft edge against my forehead (I won't even try this one)
  • laying down on Zia's bath ramp
Mommy and Daddy are tired of the fights even though we only wash my hair once or twice a week depending on the temperature/how dirty I am.

Friends again
posted on 09/01/2009

Daddy had to run out to Whitney Point today to do an estimate for one of Mommy's friends and they have a little boy who is almost 5, his name is Anderson.  We've met them before but it's been a really long time, so  of course, Mommy took me and Zia out to see them with Daddy.  I went off and played with Anderson for a little bit while Mommy and Daddy talked with Miss Cathy.  They have TWO really cool ducks!  We got to feed them bread and I helped put food in their dish.  They are really neat.  They also have horses in their back yard but we didn't get to see them.  Hopefully, we'll get to play with them again sometime.  Mommy and Cathy talked about meeting at the zoo before they close.  That would rock!

Button and New friends
posted on 08/31/2009

Daddy had to run a few errands this morning but afterwards we got dressed up and went out.  We stopped at Rec Park to ride the carousel.

Once you ride all the carousels in the area, you get a button and guess what!!!  We finally got our buttons today even though we finished the circuit two weeks ago.

Photobucket Photobucket I was so proud.  We also played on the playground for a little bit and then ended up riding the carousel FOUR times today.

Daddy's coworker at the zoo is Kevin.  He has a family with 2 little girls and they came over to meet us tonight.  We had a lot of fun playing.  We played chase, drew with the chalk, played with some toys, had dinner and stayed up late.  Kaitlin, was 4 and Elizabeth, was 7.  Their Mommy, Shannon is pregnant with a little boy due in December.  Half way through dinner, I decided I was done and went into the living room to play.  A few minutes later, I showed back up in the kitchen NAKED.  Mommy thought it was funny!!  I couldn't eat dessert because I didn't eat my dinner, but Mommy said I could if I ate my hotdog, I ended up eating TWO!  So, I got to have a brownie.  YUMMY!  Maybe we'll get to play together again sometime.

WE WON!!! and the Zoo
posted on 08/29/2009

Mommy bought a few Mega Millions tickets yesterday and we won!!!  TWO DOLLARS!!!  Only 352,000 other people did too.  I guess it's better than nothing.

Yesterday I asked to go to the zoo, of course we couldn't because it was too late, raining, and the animals were sleeping.  Mommy said if the weather held out today and I was a good girl we could go.

The first thing Mommy heard over the monitor this morning was "animals at the zoo."  I guess Mommy had to take us.  She doesn't mind because we have the membership, and I can run and sometimes even learn new things.  I saw a cougar for the first time today.

Mommy got to talk to Sheila, her old boss and Mike Janis the guy in charge.  They really are doing a good job there.  Everything looks great.  Maybe they'll get their AZA accreditation back.  They'll find out in two weeks.  Keep your fingers crossed for them.

We didn't see the whole zoo today because I started to get cranky once we got up top.  We headed home where I continued to be extra cranky and then proceded to NOT nap.  Mommy wasn't very happy with me.  But, Daddy had to run a few errands so he took Zia and Mommy and I laid in her bed.  I really didn't feel like sleeping so Mommy put Sesame Street on tv and I laid with Vicky watching tv and Mommy took a short nap.

I ate most of my chicken for dinner tonight and got to have some ice cream.  If Mommy didn't tell me about the ice cream I never would have eaten the chicken.  It really was yummy.  BBQ sauce mixed with OJ.  I wouldn't touch the peppers or the squash though.  Mommy wishes I'd just try it!

We are having major issues at bath time lately.  I just scream as soon as it's time to wash my hair.  It always ends a fun bath time.  Tonight I didn't even get a chance to play because Mommy tried some new things with me and I just screamed and screamed really loud.  Mommy got frustrated and just threw the water over my head.  Daddy helped me out and got dressed while Mommy finished in the tub with Zia.  Mommy asked me what the problem is and I said "ears."  Mommy thinks that I really have issues getting water into my ears.  She said if I just sit still on Zia's mat she won't get any water in there but I just won't sit still.  We need to find a way to take a bath and not get water into my ears.  Any suggestions???  We need all the help we can get.

We also need help with legwarmers.  We need everyone to keep an eye out for them and let us know where they are relatively cheap.  Since I won't wear pants and insist on wearing my pretties every day I need to keep my legs warm somehow.  Mommy has tights for me but thinks that legwarmers would be MUCH easier for running to the potty all the time.  Sooooo, we are on the look out for legwarmers for a 4T kid like me, the crazier the better too!!  Speaking of the potty, here's me using the potty in my doll house.  pottytrain5

Animals at the zoo
posted on 08/26/2009

We met up with our friends at the zoo again yesterday.  I really like going with Myles and Marshall so Mommy is sure to call Miss Jess when we want to go.  We were surprised to hear that Miss Heather and Donovan and Kait were going to meet us there.  We really like hanging out with them.  Kait is finally warming up to Mommy and really talks to her.  She also really likes Zia.  Donovan too, he's always asking to hold her just like I do.

Mommy really tried to get Myles into the picture but he just wouldn't lean forward.

(If you look close enough to my hair, you can see I'm wearing barrettes for the first time)  Mommy had to nurse Zia when we were at bear and I wanted to run ahead with our friends so Mommy said it was ok to go with them.  I went up the hill with Heather and Kait.  After I saw the tigers it was time to head back to Mommy so Miss Heather was nice enough to bring me down the hill.

Problems
posted on 08/25/2009

Mommy is so torn.  I'm having problems with my toilet learning.  Forget pooping on the potty and I've been peeing on the floor lately.  I ran a bit of a fever the other day and with medicine it came down and hasnt' been back since.  Mommy is worried that maybe I have an infection of some kind "down there."  Or maybe I'm just rebeling against my sister and my mommy.  Mommy has taken to putting me into "time out" when I'm acting up.  Maybe this is my way of frustrating her even more!! Mommy said she'll keep an eye on me for a few more days and see if we have to call the doctor.

--------------------------------------------

We got our last carrousel card today.  Next time we go to the zoo we can get our buttons!!  YAY!!

-----------------------------------------------

Stopped to see Grandpa and Grandma Knapp today.  I was a real brat for most of the visit but I warmed up after awhile.  Mommy said it was mostly because I refused to eat my breakfast today.  I just didn't want to eat my blueberry pancakes, even though that's one of my most favorite breakfasts!

Time Outs
posted on 08/21/2009

I have really been acting up lately and Mommy said what we are doing isn't working.  I've been back talking and yelling and hitting and biting and just plain ol' acting up.  We started doing time outs.  I have to sit on the love seat with no toys or tv and think about what the problem is. Mommy said I have to sit for 2 minutes because I'm 2 years old.  Once I get yelled at, I get warned of a time out and if I do it again I have to sit.  Then Mommy tells me what I did wrong and then she tells me she loves me and we kiss and hug and go about our business.  I was in time out a lot today.  Embarassed Mommy said I should learn pretty quick that I can't walk all over her anymore.  Especially when it comes to baby Zia.
