Playdate and Major ouchie posted on 08/20/2009
We had a great playdate set up today. Most of my friends were there! Michelina and JJ, Sam and Moriba, Alex and Alyssa, & Donovan and Kait!! We all played really good together. I was a little bit unsure of sharing the Aurora dolla I found though. Moriba was really nice and let me play with it. She has some really cool princess stuff. I need to play over there more often. Miss Cara, Mommy's friend, was nice enough to make me lunch. It was a yummy grilled cheese "sammer" (sandwich) and before I could really enjoy it, I had an accident. I was being naughty and pushing off the table with my feet and before anyone could say anything I started to fall over backwards. Miss Cara caught me kinda but as I was hugging Mommy to feel better we found I was bleeding a lot from the back of my head. Nobody knows what I hit or how I hit but there's a small dime size wound on the back of my head that really bled alot. I calmed down pretty quick and answered some basic questions so Mommy wasn't too worried about me having a concussion. I was still bleeding some when I got home but I let Daddy have a good look at my head and went off to take a nap. All was fine when I woke up.
Mommy was pretty scared about the thought of taking me to the ER. We know that Aunt Kelly works there so we'd be in good hands if we ever had to go. Now, Mommy needs to figure out how to get the carseat cover off to wash it and re-wash the shirt I was wearing (for the first time no less!) because the blood stain didn't totally come out.

Buffalo Zoo and New friends posted on 08/16/2009
We all got ready to go to the Zoo today. I've been excited about it for days. Mommy got in touch with Alex from STM to meet us up there. It was fun. Louisa and I were pretty distant for a little bit then we finally warmed up to each other near the playground. We played for a short bit and then went to dig for dinosaurs. They have a gravel pit to unearth bones. That was pretty cool.
I got my very own and first sno-cone today. The weather was so hot we had to!
I also got to met a small version of King Kong! That was pretty neat.
The best part was the carousel. They have these little horsies that are just my size and even Zia got to ride one. Thanks to Grandpa for holding Zia so Mommy could hang with me.

Craptastrophy Part 2 posted on 08/15/2009
This morning was another Crap-tastrophy. Mommy took Zia outside to get my portable potty to make things easier on me and I just didn't make it. I had to poop so bad, I started upstairs to go potty and ended up pooping on the stairs. Mommy is frustrated with my pooping messes. I'll hit the potty eventually.

We are having a great time in Buffalo. Mommy is a little stressed because both me and my sister are attached to her hip. It's not surprising since we spend so much time with her. Maybe if we had a regular babysitter or two we wouldn't be so dependent on her every waking moment. She's really glad to have our Daddy around but of course he's still in Binghamton until Sunday so for now she'll deal.
After a yummy breakfast of eggs and toast, we all got dressed and headed to the Aquarium of Niagara. Mommy said we have to wait for Daddy to take Zia to the Falls for the first time so we didn't head there today. The Aquarium really hasn't changed much since Mommy used to work there. That was a long time ago. She started in 1990, can you believe that? Of course, they still had dolphins back then. Now they have sealions in the main tank and the seals outside. Most of them are the same from when Mommy worked there. Grammie took some good pictures of us and the huge sharks and we got a few good pictures with the penguins. Mommy said she'll upload those when we get home. Not enough time right now and the laptop is pretty slow for stuff like that.
My favorite part was seeing Nemo and his family swimming around in the anenomes. Mommy's favorite part was the octopus. It was very very active. Even Zia liked it. We didn't get any pictures of it though because the sign asked that we not use a flash and the pictures Mommy took didn't turn out becuase it was too dark.
I'm really having problems with my daily pooping because my schedule is thrown off and I'm being woken up by Zia every day. Yesterday, I pooped on the potty! Mommy was so proud of me. I was excited too. This morning, I didn't quite make it. It hit the floor in the bathroom. Oops. This afternoon, Mommy said I kept "Crying Wolf" whatever that means. I took Mommy upstairs to go on the potty 4 times and when I asked for it the 5th time Mommy said "you know where the potty is, just go." I was up there for a long time and Mommy thought I was just playing in the toy room. Boy was she wrong. Grandpa found me in the bathroom "cleaning" up. I missed again and pooped on the floor. I tried to clean it up using toilet paper. Grandpa said I emptied the roll (which Mommy had just on about an hour ago) into the toilet and smeared the poop into the floor. Grandpa gave me a quick bath and I ran downstairs. Mommy was surprised to see me naked but then Grandpa came downstairs and explained what happened. Mommy giggled (even though it's not funny) and got me redressed for our late night outing.
As I was getting redressed we found some poop on my shoulder (yuck) and headed out the door. We went to meet up with Mommy's old friend Dawn. She's now married to a pretty cool guy named John and has a baby named Chase that was born on Zia's due date. So he's just 6 days younger than Zia. He's a doll. Smiled at us a few times then fell fast asleep. I played on the porch with some toys and then we went for a quick walk and then we hit Dairy Queen for a Tag-a-long Blizzard. It was yummy!
Since it was really late when we got home and I hardly ate my dinner, I requested some mac-n-cheese and Mommy threw in my hamburger which I ate up. Zia and I had taken our baths aready and boy were we tired. Zia was really really cranky and Mommy wasn't quite ready for bed yet so she grabbed the laptop and put on a movie for me.
Since I was so into Lilo and Stitch and finally got Zia to sleep, she took the opportunity to take a shower and even got the laundry started. Once the movie was over, I passed out. Mommy can't believe I stayed up until almost midnight again. Zia is going to be up soon and we both hope that Zia doesn't wake us up at 8am again tomorrow. We don't have any plans yet except to finish laundry.
This is shaping up to be a decent vacation. The weather is hot and humid though but we are very thankful to Grandma's neighbor for giving them another a/c unit. We are sleeping much better with a/c in Mommy's old bedroom.
Mommy will update again when she can.

Johnson family picnic posted on 08/08/2009
Today we had a picnic at Grandma Patty's house. There was a lot of people there. Mommy and Daddy didn't even know a lot of them. There were a lot of friends there too. A lot of them haven't seen me since I was just a few weeks old! They are really nice people, some of them were at Mommy's baby shower for me and gave me/us presents. We are still thankful for all that stuff because now Zia can use it.
I did a lot of running around and ate a lot of junk. Isn't that what you do at family picnics? I tried really hard to play with some of the older kids, but they wanted nothing to do with me.

Mommy said that's ok. Sometimes bigger kids just don't remember what it's like to be little and left out. They will get their's eventually. I did make a friend, her name is Emma and she's 4. We played with the ball together and chatted.

Grandma Patty gave me a really cool bug collecting toy. It comes with a net and a house for the bugs so we can "study" them. Mommy is excited to use it too.

I also checked out the firepit while I was checking everything out and boy did I get dirty!

Mommy didn't get nearly as many photos as she should have but she was busy talking with everyone and eating. There was so much yummy food there!! Mommy brought the fruit pizza. She's going to make a separate post for the recipe since so many people liked it. Thanks to Miss Melissa for making it for us in the first place! So yummy!
And a very special super thank you to Grandma Patty for all her hard work to have us and everyone else over. We had a good time.

Cream cheese fruit pizza posted on 08/05/2009
This is the original recipe. Mommy made a few changes.
http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/philadelphia-fruit-pizza-57079.aspx
Mommy didn't use the preserves or water to cover the fruit. Basically, when mixing the cream cheese, she added a ton of blueberries and that's why it was blue/purple (depending on how you saw it). She cooked the cookie part on a small cookie sheet and served it on there too. She made sure to really spray the bottom so it wouldn't stick. After mixing the mix she let it sit for a little bit to "warm up" so it was extra easy to spread. She spread it all out and put the pan in the fridge for about an hour. She didn't cut up the fruit and put it on there until a few minutes before we walked out the door. It was a huge hit!

Golf posted on 08/05/2009
Since this morning was a lazy day and I was starting to get cranky, Mommy decided to grab a coupon and pile the cans into the trunk and head out to do something fun.
We returned 6 giant bags full of cans and got some money back so Mommy took all of us Minature golfing. I was free and so was Mommy because we had a buy one get one free game of golf.
I wasn't really thrilled to be there but I did have fun.

Mommy tried showing me how to do it, but really all I wanted to do was pick up everyone's balls and throw them around.
Then I just decided to go about my business and do whatever I wanted to do.

Yes, that is me crawling inside the tires.

Mommy got a hole in one in the nose on the last hole so she got a free game coming. Mommy said we'll definitely go again. It is really fun.

What a morning posted on 08/04/2009
After our morning movie and breakfast Mommy and I got into our bathing suits and headed out to Schnurbush park to jump into the pool. When we got there we were the only ones there. We had the whole pool to ourselves for almost 10 minutes! As we were swimming around and splashing Mommy looked up into the sky and saw the most spectacular sight A BALD EAGLE. You don't see those around every day, that's for sure. It was only the 3rd time Mommy has seen one in the wild in her whole life! It was flying over the river and so pretty. There's no mistaking the white head of a bald eagle! Mommy wishes she had her camera but of course we were in the pool so there's no way we would have gotten a shot anyways.
I really like that pool because it has the splash pool for kids. I like to run back and forth. Today, I decided to deviate from my norm and went running in the grass to the fence. On my way back, I hurt my foot. Fell to the ground and kinda rolled around for a second. Mommy came to see what happened and she said she knew exactly what happened as soon as I hit the ground. She picked me up so I didn't have to walk on my foot and sat on a nearby bench, grabbed my foot and pulled the stinger out. I was such a good, strong girl. I didn't whine, cry or flinch. After Mommy pulled the stinger out of my foot from my first bee sting I got down and ran back into the pool. Mommy is so proud of me.
We always have fun when we go to the pool together.
