Special outing

We went to a park by the river to watch the balloon rally.  We didn't see any balloons there though.  The wind was blowing in the wrong direction and Mommy was starting to get cranky because she was hungry and thirsty.  Me and Zia were really good though.  We walked along the river a little ways and hung out under the bridge for a little bit and played on the playground for a little bit too.  Good thing Mommy bought the little potty for me because I really had to go, we keep it in the trunk and I can pee right in the parking lot.

As we were leaving to go home we saw a few balloons launch so we stopped in a random parking lot and Mommy nursed Zia while I drove the car around the lot (literally).  I really didn't notice the balloons much because they were so far away.  Mommy said maybe tomorrow we'll try again and plan a little better.

SWIMMING

Today was a great day for me.  After breakfast I watched a movie and then got dressed in my swim suit.  We all piled in the car and headed to Shnurbusch Park in Conklin to go swimming.  We've been to this pool before and Mommy really liked it.  A bunch of our friends were going today so we decided to meet up with them.

Since Zia was sleeping, Mommy and I went swimming and Daddy went to Endicott to see Uncle Johnny.  It was a good move because Zia got some much needed sleep.  And I got to spend some great time with Mommy alone.  I jumped in the pool, and walked up and down the stairs.  At the bottom of the steps the water is up to my chin!  My favorite part was jumping in the water and watching people slide down the slide.

Mommy said we'll go again real soon!

A new citizen

When we got up this morning, Mommy saw that one of our friends was having a picnic at Otsiningo Park and she said anyone could stop by.  Mommy decided we had to get out of the house.  So we went to the playground and met up with Mommy's friend Cara and her two kids Sam and Moriba.  Sam is just a few days younger than I am!  They were our first in-house playdate.  Their Daddy became a US Citizen this past week.  Congrats to John!  We couldn't stay for the picnic part of their party because I was cranky and not listening to Mommy but I did get some play time in.

The Creek

I had to go to the doctor's today.  Mommy was worried about my ears.  She said she didn't really think there was anything wrong, but I haven't been eating very well and I've been giving Mommy a hard time going to bed lately.  So she called and got me in today.  When we got there, we had to wait a long time but Mommy was cool with it because both me and my sister were well behaved.  I ran to the potty a few times but other than that I did good.  I read a few stories and looked out the window, watched the movie and just ran around.  Once we finally got back to see the doctor I was pretty patient too.  Mommy was really surprised at how long he came in after the nurse came to see us.  I got a clean bill of health.  My ears, my throat, my tummy... everything was perfect.  Doctor said my issues are because of my age and probably some jealousy towards Zia.

After nap, Mommy decided to do something with my cranky butt.  We loaded Zia up into the front carrier and I walked Vicky down to the creek.  We threw in rocks and walked around.  Then Mommy showed me that it was ok to walk in the water.  I thought that was pretty cool, until I fell down a few times.  Mommy was really surprised that I was cool with falling down.  She thought I'd freak out.

After playing for awhile, we walked up to the store to stock up on a few things and then we got caught in the rain a little bit.  We hung out on the bridge for a minute or two but then decided to just hoof it.  We got drizzled on a little bit and it stopped once we got home.

Once we got dinner on the table I asked for cereal.  Mommy at first said no, then decided she didn't want to fight with me anymore.  She let me have cereal for dinner.  I love my mommy.

Another Carousel

We went to West Endicott Park again today to ride the horsies and swim for a little bit.  It was really crowded so we didn't stay long.  Mommy decided we'd stop at Highland Park to ride the Carousel there to get another notch for our buttons.  While we were there, I got to have some ice cream while Zia got some booby.  Two more Carousels to go.

GRASSROOTS

We got all packed up and went to Trumansburg for the GrassRoots Festival again this year.  We only went up for the one day this year though.  Maybe next year we'll camp again.  Photobucket

We loaded up the wagon again this year.  I got to sit in the front and lead the way, Sister sat behind me and we were both sitting on the blankets.  Behind Zia was the cooler and on top of that was Mommy and Daddy's chair and on top of that was my portable potty seat.  Mommy said there was NO WAY I was using one of the gross porta potties that the adults use.  Even though they clean them out pretty regular I'm too young.  Attached to the back of the wagon was our diaper bag with changes of clothes.  On this side of the wagon is the umbrella to block out sun/rain and attached to the other side is the small suitcase that held Mommy and Daddy's extra clothes and the bag that had the "extras" in.  Whew, that's a ton of stuff to take but all needed.  It fit nicely under the bus too so we didn't have to take anything off.

When we got to the festival we went right in and found a good place to sit.

We heard some great music and I met the Goose.

Took a rest.

Saw the strange dancers,

And saw a kite that looked like a "hairpain".

I did a lot of dancing with Daddy and running around too.  I checked out a lot of people.

I really had a great time and was "overall" a good girl.  There were a few small issues but it was a great day.  Even late at night when it got dark out, I had some cool toys to play with.  A few years ago, Daddy bought Mommy some crazy light up glasses that still worked and I wore them most of the night.  I also got to wear a cool necklace that lit up too.  We got some glow sticks to hang on the wagon too and I played with those.

We look forward to GrassRoots again next year!

Swimming

I did not want to go see Johnny Only today, Mommy is confused to why.  I endured it the best way possible by eating my snacks and pretending to not pay attention even though I was dancing for some of the songs.  Of course, I came out of my funk in time for the finale, the Bubble Song.  I chased after a ton of bubbles and watched Braedon dance and then I danced along with him.  Mommy took a video.  She'll post it when she's not rocking sister and typing at the same time.

I got to run around for a little bit and then we headed to the West Endicott Park for some merry go round and pool fun.  We had a few bites to eat and then I woke up the horseys.  I named mine "Horsey Knapp,"  am I cleaver or what?  Mommy thought it was adorable.  We rode the horsies a few times and then we went swimming.  It was a ton of fun hanging out with our friends and I even made friends with a stranger.  Turns out she was a bit of a bully at first.  I yelled at her by saying "hey kid" and then Mommy told her to "don't do that" when she saw her do it.  The little girl showed me how to climb into the pool and run around.  I got yelled at by the lifeguard a few times but of course I didn't listen.  Mommy even yelled at me a few times but again, I don't listen. I'm two, what do you expect?  <insert rolled eyes here>

I really didnt' want to get out, but Mommy noticed I was starting to get a sunburn even though we wore sunscreen but I listened to her then because she said we could ride the horsies again.

Mommy had to nurse Sister and change her diaper and as my reward for being so good I got some ice cream.  YUMMY!  Then we rode the horsies again and guess what!  There is actually a dog on the merry go round and so I rode the dog.  What fun it was.  Sister even sat with me on the dog and sat with Braedon too.

Today was so much fun, exhausting, but fun.  Mommy is even going to bed early tonight!

After my nap I was surprised by Daddy to go on a grocery shopping trip.  I got a few cookies and behaved nicely Daddy said.  I love Wegmans, I even got to get a car cart.  Thanks Daddy!
