JOURNAL 4 months old.posted on 10/09/2007 Hey Everyone, Tristan had his 4 month checkup today and another set of shots (yuck!). He weights 17 lbs. and 8 oz & is 27 inches long. I'm not too surprised, as you can tell by some of his pics he has grown a lot in a short amount of time. He is VERY active. He's not to happy in his swing anymore but loves his exersaucer and jumper a lot. He likes sitting up and looking around. He still sleeps trough the night and takes little 20 minute cat naps during the day. We have started adding cereal to his milk and now he eats every 2.5-3 hours instead of every 2 hours. We are very excited about his first holidays coming up and still haven't decided what he will be for Halloween, I'm thinking a skunk but not sure Mat likes the idea lol. Feel free to give us some suggestions about what he should be for his 1st Halloween. Comments (1) Tristan meets his big Sister Mandi posted on 09/24/2007 Hello Everyone, So this weekend Tristan and Miranda finally met. It was so sweet to have my 2 babies together at last. When she saw him for the first time she just went crazy with him and so did he. They smiled at each other and then Mandi held him, it was beautiful. She was a really good big sister to him. She helped me feed him, bathe him, change him, and even kept checking in on him while he slept to make sure he was covered and not crying. He played with him and watched TV with him too. When he fell asleep in his swing she got his blanket to cover him. All is all I think it was a perfect meeting. Anyway Tristan has his next doctor's appointment the beginning of October and he'll be getting more shots (ugh). I can't believe he's almost 4 months already. Comments (1) 3 months old. posted on 09/08/2007 Hello Everyone, Well Tristan is 3 months old today and let me tell you, the time has flown. He is such a wonderful baby. He sleeps through the night, only cries when he's hungry or gassy, and smiles all the time even when he is taking a baby and having his diaper changed. This month we are planning on going to Florida so Tristan can finally meet his big sister Miranda. I'm so excited to have my 2 babies together at last. Speaking of Miranda is also doing well. She is now in the third grade and loving it. She talks to Tristan on the phone and he always smiles. He is also making a lot baby cooing and goggling noises, they are sooo cute. It sounds like he is trying to talk back to us.A lot of you have said at times he looks like his dad and other times he looks like Mandy and we agree, although Mat keeps saying he has his Aunt Melissa's toes lol. Well keep checking back for more updates. Lots of Love & Hugs to you all. Comments (0) 9 weeks old. posted on 08/10/2007 So Tristan had a doctor's appointment yesterday. Sadly he had to have 3 shots and let me tell you, it nearly broke my heart to hear him cry. We got home and he was a little upset, probably uncomfortable from the shots so we gave him some Tylenol & a bottle. He fell asleep around 8:30 pm and slept until 9:30 this morning. He is back to his normal happy self today smiling and making his little baby noises. We have to go back when he is 4 months for another set of shots. Anyway on a lighter note, Tristan had his first overnight sleep away trip this past weekend. We went to PA for his aunt's wedding and then stood the night with his Grandma & Grandpa. He was a good boy as usual. On Sunday we went golfing & he loved being outdoors looking at trees and birds. All in all Tristan is growing up so fast & I'm enjoying all these precious moments with him. We'll keep you all posted with more photos & updates. Lots of love & hugs. Comments (0) Sleeping through the night. posted on 07/23/2007 Hello Everyone, I just thought I would share our great news - Tristan is sleeping through the night!!! His first night he slept 9 hours straight and last night he slept 10 hours straight. It has given Dad & I the chance to catch up on the rest we really needed (hopefully it will last). He stays up more during the day but he does still take naps. He does eat a little more at this feedings now too (only 1 oz) and nursing has gotten easier, he latches on longer. This has been a good week for us. We'll keep you posted. Lots of love & Hugs Comments (2) 6 week checkup posted on 07/18/2007 Hello Everyone, Well Tristan had his 6 week well baby checkup today (even thought he actually turns 6 weeks on Friday). Everything is fine and he is a healthy boy. He now weights 12 lbs 8 oz and is 23.5 inches long. The doctor said he is going to grow up to be a football player lol. He does have a slight baby rash but she said it's normal and will go away on it's own. His next appointment is at 2 months for another checkup & shots (It'll probably hurt me more than him). Not much else is new. He is still a very content & loving baby and brings Mat & I so much joy everyday. Everyday I find myself falling more & more in love with him and I absolutely love being his mom. Comments (2) 5 weeks old. posted on 07/13/2007 Today Tristan is 5 weeks old. He is looking different to us already. He looks like his dad but has alot of his own features too. He is 21 inches in length but we're not sure how much he weights. He sleeps around 5-6 hours through the night and has a hearty appetite. He loves looking at his mobiles and sleeps with his slumber bear almost every night.
