Shake it, baby

I've been feeling the baby move. It's pretty subtle, still, of course, but definitely there. It's not a short kick, more of a prolonged pressure. Usually when I'm sitting down, probably giving it a little less room to stretch out. I actually have to push back to get the baby to move. I think I'd be more excited about it if it didn't hurt. And you gotta love the baby sitting on my bladder, making me think I've got to pee even if I just did. Gotta stay one step ahead of the lil' bugger. :D
We're at week 15 as of today!! Woohoo! And my body is certainly starting to show it. Not only are my pants starting to get tighter, my shirts are starting to show a little belly. When I'm laying on my back, it's really easy to feel my uterus sticking out. I'm probably going to have to start sleeping only on my sides just so I don't have Steve constantly prodding at my belly. Which he does do an awful lot. :) But who can blame him? It's really easy to see how proud he is of the fact he's going to be a daddy. Whenever we meet new people, it's one of the first things out of his mouth. You can practically see him bursting at the seems to tell people. I love it. One of his many endearing qualities.
My mom just sent me a package with lots of patterns for making baby clothes, blankets, mobiles, and whatnots. So now I have no excuse not to get started working on it, since I have a nice sewing machine and a serger. That I've never used. And don't have thread for. And I don't have any fabric. Hmmm. Okay, maybe one or two excuses, but easily remedied, right? I am going to wait until I know if it's a boy or girl, though. I don't want to do the stereotypical pink or blue, but I may want to gear things more feminine or masculine in other ways. I mean, after all, Stevie and I are hardly stereotypical, right? Right? (This is where you agree with me.) As I write this, he's sitting next to me, being the nerd cruching rainfall numbers (for the last YEAR) on his free time. He says 29.61 for the season, in case anyone is wondering. I'm not. Is it any wonder that I love him? Since I, too, am a nerd at heart.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we need to give Tippy a bath. I don't think she's had one for about two years, and she's starting to get just a little ripe.
