Well, I can't believe I am sitting here already writing to say our little man has been gone for a month.  In a sense it has gone by so quickly, but in another it seems like forever since we have been able to see and hold and play with him.  We miss him terribly, and it seems to be getting harder right now each day, rather than easier.  Not that I think it will ever be easy, but hopefully it gets a little easier.

We will never feel that there was a reason for all the Wyatt went through or for him to be taken from us so soon, but, we will do everything we can to make sure that it was not for no reason either, and will continue to do everything we can to make sure that we keep his memory alive and do everything we can to help other children and their families, who are affected by Congenital Heart Defects, and we will make Wyatt proud.  Hopefully, one day, no family will go through what we are now because of a CHD, anymore.

Just to remind everyone, we have two upcoming events.... 

The first is a pub night August 15th.  Wyatt's Warriors 1st Annual Hootenanny Jamfest, at The Portly Piper Pub in Ajax.  Admission is $10 per person.  There will be live entertainment all night, and it is open mic, so bring your guitar, banjo, harmonica, your great singing voice, whatever, lol, and have some fun. There will also be door prizes and raffles going on.  They are closing the pub just to us, so it will be a great fun night with lots of great people!   There are a limited number of tickets available, and tickets are NOT available at the door, so please contact me if you are interested in attending. If you are not able to attend, but wish to make a donation, please contact me as well. Hope to see you all there enjoying the best wings in town!!!

The second, I am excited to now announce, is the 1st Annual Wyatt's Warriors Walk, on Sunday September 27th, starting at Heydenshore Park in Whitby, going along the waterfront trail to just before Stevenson Road, and then looping back to Heydenshore, where we will have a BBQ, raffles, some live entertainment, and Bubbles the Clown there to do some airbrushing and face painting!  It is going to be a great day of fun, fresh air, exercise, nature, family and friends old and new.  We hope that you will join us.  There is no cost to enter the walk, but we do ask that you try to get as many pledges as you can!  Pledge sheets are just being printed this week, and will be available very soon.  I will post all the locations they are available from soon, and of course you can contact me or anyone in the family, for pledge sheets as well.   The walk will be just under 10km, and is completely suitable for all ages and abilities.. It is a beautiful trail along the waterfront, and Wyatt has promised me beautiful weather as well.  You can join the walk as an individual, as a family, as a work team, team of friends, anything at all you like!   There will be prizes for the top fundraisers!  Stay tuned for the details on entertainment and pledge sheets, and get ready to walk!!!

We love you Wyatt, we miss you so much.  We hope that you get some chocolate cake today with lots of icing, and that you like your balloons.
