Hi everyone,

Well, it has been 2.5 months since our brave, handsome hero has left us.  We miss him so much, more and more everyday.  It still seems that it still has not fully sunk in yet, and each day is hard to deal with, and we deal with one at a time. 

I promised Wyatt that we would continue the fight against CHD's, in his memory.  They took him from us far too soon, and I would like to see a day where no child loses their life, and no parent their child, to a CHD.  That is why we continue these events, and continue to ask for your support in them.

Wyatt's Warriors Walkathon

Sunday September 27th

Registration begins at 11am

Walk begins at 12pm

You can choose to walk 5km or 10km

Walk begins at Heydenshore Park area on the Whitby waterfront trail.  We will be proceeding along the trail to just beyond Stevenson Rd, where we will loop back, to end back at Heydenshore. 

There will be water and snack stations along the route, as well as St John's Ambulance.

Live entertainment at the conclusion of the walk provided by the drumming band Rhythm Connection, who will be performing and doing an interactive show with the attendees.  Bubbles D Clown will be doing face painting and airbrushing, and we will be having raffles and a delicious BBQ!

The TOP fundraiser wins two roundtrip airfare to anywhere WestJet flies, courtesy of WestJet!!!!!!!!

You can choose to walk as an individual, family, or team.  Get a group of family, friends, coworkers together and come out and show your support for a great cause.  Come out as a company, and make people take notice of you!! 

There is NO FEE to enter the walk, and all walkers earning over $60 in pledges will receive a free Wyatt's Warriors Walkathon t shirt!  People of all ages can take part, walk, run, ride, whatever you like :)

****Please note**** Due to the fact that people are going to be competing for the top prizes, only pledge amounts that have actually been collected and are presented on the day of the walk (or were pledged online) will be counted towards your total collected.  If you have any people who have said they will pledge you, but have not actually given you there money / cheque / credit card #, then that amount will NOT be counted in your total on the day of the walk when we are totalling up for the Grand prize winner.  Please try to collect all pledged amounts before the walk, it is to your benefit, and saves a lot of craziness after the walk****

All pledge sheets and monies are due before the walk begins and are to be handed in at Registration.

We would like to see EVERYONE out there at the walk, there is no reason not to be!  It will be a great, fun filled, family friendly, day. 

Get registered today, and start collecting pledges now!!!  The children and families affected by CHD's thank you so much.  Proceeds raised with be going towards Long term care programs in the CCCU and Fetal Heart Disease detection at SickKids Hospital.

Our goal is to raise at least $20000.  This is COMPLETELY attainable with your help.  Please spread the word, and get out for a little exercise and a lot of fun!
